America does not want change

I think we are living in a time when a majority of citizens are becoming consciously and irredeemably detached from either party. I pray for a time to come when the "independent" voters are able to "declare their independence" and concentrate their political power instead of dissipating it away.

That day is not today, but can Ron Paul help give it birth...yes.

Perhaps, in the long run, that is why so many hearts are so profoundly on fire for a seemingly hopeless candidacy. The future is calling and the youth clearly see that a 72 year old conservative "Dr. No" is years ahead of his time. The death of the 2 party system may ultimately be Dr. Paul's legacy...this is new wine, to paraphrase another man in another time who appeared to lose everything miserably.

This is the beginning.

It will take a financial collapse to effect change. Witness the French Revolution, Germany in the 1920's, U.S. in the 1930's and the USSR in the 1990's. Human nature rarely changes. The financial collapse is closer than we think, especially if Saudi Arabia goes off the dollar peg.

I would much rather be RIGHT and in the minority. Trudge on. No one said it would be easy!

I just talked on the phone to a friend. He is an army vet. 14 years in the military. I have talked myself blue in the face with him. I have tried to get him to internet sites and to read books, but he says I am full of sh^%. That if all this is happening it would be on the news. Even tells me the wars that weren't declared were legal because congress approved funding for them. Unfortunately that is the mindset of most Americans. They just refuse to even think about researching the truth. But I believe we can win this. We have to.

The intent of this forum is not negativity it is about the reality of all of our efforts to bring RON to the forefront while left to witness how disconnected the average voter is voting. Yes, it is still early to count numbers . Mine don`t come from watching the tube , I have been at my precinct all day not one supporter of Paul showed up with a sign or any thing else within the 75 foot zone reserved for supporters save me.

... 15-20% of us in America DO want change. Historians say it only takes 5% of the people to demand and to effect change. If each of us converts just one other voter then we're at 30-40%. Let's fill local and national political office's with Ron Paul Republicans (RPR's).

I have been commenting on this sight for a couple of days warning that Dr Paul cannot win in the republican party. Some folks have taken offense to my WAKE UP AMERICA call, but we the people need to wake up.

I have been and still am advocating that Dr Paul should run an independent campaign for the white house.

I believe it is our country's last hope.

before super tuesday even started it was my impression that paul had 6 we can't go down from there.....

What all these sheep and dumbf&#ks need to be made aware of, is that they are going to get change WHETHER THEY WANT IT OR NOT! I keep hammering away at people about this! The only questions are, just what KIND of change are they going to get, and are they going to help decide which kind., or just keep being passive sheep and MSM robots?

This isnt a competition. It's not a contest.

It's a calculation, to determine who the majority of Americans want.

And if the majority want a fascist (or socialist) dictator instead of responsible liberty-loving leader.. well.. that's democracy for ya. That's democracy in action. That's democracy.. I hate to say it, but.. working.

Democracy isnt designed to give you the best candidate. Only the most popular one. So long as that happens, democracy has done its job. If you want change in opposition to that, you have to change public opinion.

And that's not an election-year process. It's an unending process, every day, every month, every year. Not just during an election season. We need to be promoting and selling liberty ALL THE TIME. Because liberty requires self-sufficiency and self-restraint - two values all but extinguished in our culture now.

Promote self-sufficiency and self-restraint, in all your affairs. Be an example of them. Encourage them in others. Do this regardless of whether RP wins or not. We have elections every 2 years, y'know.

Elections, ultimately, arent about the candidates. They're about the people. If the people choose RP, that's who they chose. If they choose McCain or Obama or Hillary, that's who they chose. The democracy is anything more than a means to an end, if it's a principle unto itself, then we have to respect its result.

And if their chosen then violates the Constitution, or their oath of office, or otherwise makes unforgivable mistakes - the public should hold their chosen responsible. Because ultimately it is the public who are responsible.

That is what representative government means - WE are responsible for what is done in our name by our representatives. We're responsible for the good, and for the evil.

Some of us dont just get involved in politics for a few months every 4 years, you know. We're in this all year round, every year. We used to call that "civic responsibility".

We don't need them.
We are smarter and much more powerfull than the majority.
We are Liberty loving Individuals than won't take no for an answer.

Most Americans aren't interested in libertarianism, that is, in freedom for all. They're more interested in a nanny state. Paul isn't a mainstream candidate. He's trying to bring libertarianism into the mainstream, more than winning the election. So don't expect much or you'll be really disappointed..

Well, my friends we are witnessing the last night of the Ron Paul campaign for President, but we need to help raise money to keep him in Congress because he has a challenger. We also need to start lining people up to run for public office on Ron Paul's message, but with Mike Huckbee and Mitt Romney wording. I hope this does not discourage you, but we are in the beginning of the revolution not the end of it.

Ron must make an independent run for the white house!

I'm sorry to use such harsh words, but a lot of americans are too stupid to know what's good for them. When McCain gets 70% of the anti-war vote in a state, that much is obvious. I saw an old lady on TV earlier say "the country needs change, and McCain is the best man for the job." What the hell was she smoking? McCain is the biggest bush clone running in this race. He's made it blatantly clear that he wants war, more war, and some more war on top. He's ******* insane, for Christ's sake.

I totally agree that most americans don't want change. Worst of all is that most older people really dislike change. Just look at all the exit poll data from the previous primaries and notice that most people over 50 are not too interested in Ron Paul. Granted there are some very smart people over 50 who do support Paul but unfortunately they are a small minority. Younger people want freedom and to run their own lives but most older people just cringe at that idea of nobody taking care of them. With the baby boomers just beginning to collect social security benefits it is going to get much worse. America is OLD and does not want change! Just my 2 cents worth from my soapbox.

I voted. We keep moving forward. We unite and collaborate, and we go third party when/if necessary.
