We only need 2 Ron Paul Senators to Stop the Bleeding!
2 Senetors can fillibuster at least and prevent new evil bills from being passed. -- At least untill the senate has a 60% majority vote to stop the fillibuster.
We already have Murray Sabrin in New Jersey. We need to support him in every way we can. I think he can win. We already have a bunch of new people registered Republican to support Ron Paul. The Senate Primeries are going to have much lower voter turnout rate. We need to support him hard.
Now. How hard would it be to get a 2nd Ron Paul Senetor? What about Alaska? Sounds like they're supporting Ron Paul up there. What about Montana? Small states are easier to fund Senate races.
Ideas?
Obviously we're not going to turn the tide around with only 2 Senators. But at least 2 senators can keep it from getting worse.
Where and who can we get to run for senator someplace else?

He's even going to have an easier time winning the Nomination now that Estabrook dropped out.

We have Pat Flynn running here in Nebraska
I had a chance to talk to him last night at the GOP straw poll
and he is outraged about all the freedoms we have lost under Bush.
BUT he doesn't think we need to pull out of Iraq. :o(
The other candidate Mike Johanns running for the open seat in the senate is a big Neocon.
I still need to find out where he stands on a few more issues but as it stands he would be much better than Mike Johanns.
Those are pretty horrible
Those are pretty horrible options and we Ron Paul supporters are unlikely to rally around the "least evil". We need to find out who Sabrin and Paul would choose.
Arlen Spector
He needs to go and may not be able to run again,
Yes!
Under current rules filibustering is unstoppable. It takes about 5-days to stop a filibuster and even that can be defeated by endlessly adding amendments to bills, which requires a 15-minute roll call. This is a brilliant idea (which occurred to me 14-days after your post, which I found on Google). We must get Murray Sabrin and one more. We should ask Sabrin and Paul who their favorite candidate would be to filibuster (with Sabrin) against sending hundreds of billions of dollars to iraq.
both new jersey senators
voted for the amendment to eliminate immunity from the FISA law

Support Jay Wolfe (vs. Rockef***er in WV)
Those of you considering lending financial support to Ron Paul-like candidates should consider Jay Wolfe of West Virginia. Mr. Wolfe ran against Rockef***er six years ago and has recently filed for a rematch.
Back in '02, Jay Wolfe developed an extensive Ron Paul-like grassroots revolution team and was able to expose a lot of Rockef***er's liberal record to the voters. It was agressive action by this committed statewide team combined with frugal use of limited financial resources (only a little over $136,000 raised) that forced Rockefeller to spend $2.4 MILLION out of his own pocket to defend his seat. Jay Wolfe garnered 37% and won several counties with LESS THAN 6% of Rockef***er's budget.
JAY WOLFE's CO$T PER VOTE: 48 cents
JAY ROCKEF***ER's CO$T PER VOTE: $5.08
Just imagine if Jay Wolfe had received sufficient financial support to get his message out. His conservative message "Our Values" is a stark contrast to Rockef***er's liberal record. Unfortunately, the establishment Republicans are not easily persuaded to get involved in this campaign because they are intimidated by Rockef***er's personal wealth and don't think that any challenger can win. LET'S WORK TOGETHER TO CHANGE THAT PERCEPTION!!

Look to the states that supported RP
I think that previous posts are right on. Look for principled people to run as Senators and Reps in the states where RP did well.
Alaska, Montana, North Dakota, Nevada, New Hampshire.
Remember that the states where he did really well are caucus states but what you need to win are real live voters. I think the states above have enough supporters to make them ideal places to try getting RP Republicans elected.
The key to this is you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. We need dozens of people running across the country. Don't forget the importance of state offices like State Reps, Senators, and Governors.
Of course the people with the best chance of winning will probably get most of the resources, but even those who don't have a big budget make an impact by running.
When the party establishment sees Ron Paul Republicans competing in the primaries, and winning some and going on to the general election, they will learn to respect us a a force in the party and in politics.
Apartments are important.
In my NJ town I went and looked at the primary results at various precincts. The apartments WERE HUGE in terms of turnout and support for the DEMS. If you wanna win NJ you need to address the individuals in apartments. For years the Republicans had neglected to stump in that Democratic stronghold. Not last year. My Mom was running and I live in an apartment. I talked the chairperson to stump in the apartments. They eventually agreed and guess what ? We took three of the council seats from the DEMS. They had to scrap most of their costly plans and the town is going in a new direction.

Support Sabrin and other RP Republicans
I am from New Jersey, and I will be doing everything I can to support Murray Sabrin. I think he's got a good shot, too... the revolution's grassroots methods should work even better on a smaller scale, and I know many people whose eyes have been opened by Ron Paul's message who will be willing to throw their support behind Sabrin.
I believe there is a Ron Paul Republican running in New Hampshire. Jim Forsythe?
That's correct. He's even been endorsed by Ron Paul too.
But frankly a Senate seat is too good an opportunity to pass up. We need to all be supporting Murray. I was hoping there were opportunities for senate seasts in smaller states.
