Ron Paul Takes Second Place in Alaska
Posted on 02.06.08 by Austin Cassidy @ 6:58 am
Alaska was a state that Ron Paul supporters hoped would deliver a win for their candidate. But that didn’t quite happen, they’ll have to settle for second place. Mitt Romney appears to have “taken the gold” in the last Republican state to report results.
However, entry polls show that Paul finished a solid second in Alaska and will probably win some delegates.
The KTUU entry polling survey gives Paul 26%…
Of 339 registered voters, 163 claimed to support Romney, while 88 supported Ron Paul. Further, 54 voters intend to support Mike Huckabee and 34 support McCain.
Ron Paul also picked up third place and 5 delegates in North Dakota today. He made a deal with Mike Huckabee to win 3 delegates in West Virginia. And he’s likely to score a few more delegates in Minnesota.
Plus, results show that Paul finished in second in the Montana caucuses as well. But he apparently doesn’t win any delegates from that showing, according to the Associated Press.
No, believe it ---- there are an amazing number of bible-thumpers up here who would follow Huckabee to the gates of Hell. It blew my mind and took me years to accept as reality (no offense to those fundamentalists out there in the Paul camp).
The Baptist church one time had a sign that said nuke sadam and shoot him when he glows. I'm sure it was with love that they said these words however. I know that some of my voters voted for this fake.
I am a Bible thumper. I don't see it in my Bible.

No, we don't have counties here in Alaska ---- we have boroughs, which are not quite the same thing, and which do not cover the whole state anyway (some parts of the state are not part of any borough).
at 2:20am EST - over 1.5 HOURS after the caucuses ended - they are still awaiting results.
WHY? No other state has EVER taken this long.
They MUST be changing the results.
Ron Paul was the ONLY Republican competing; Obama beat Clinton with 75% of the vote - obviously they are anti-war. Plus, it was only a few hundred votes TOTAL.
This is COMPLETE FRAUD!
I may be a vegetarian, but I'll defend to the death my right to eat pork!
3rd party would kill us dead. Stop paying so much attention to the %, it's the delegates we have chaired that matter (Not the delegate estimates next to candidate names either).
Brokered convention is our best chance. It's Diebold-proof. The establishment is not psychic, and they have no idea how many delegates are actually Ron Paul supporters. The Ron Paul delegates are the secret weapon that the establishment is deathly afraid of.
Do you think the MSM put out articles saying Alaska is RP's best chance, knowing that his supporters would be holding up hope, and then they rig it and let us down?
They might think we will get even more frustrated and less dedicated.
people that get their "news" from TV and talk radio. Yesterday when I called some of "my" voters they said they aren't mentioning Ron Paul on the news. DUH They voted for Huck right in front of me tonight. If the campaign would have given us some face time we would have won. The tv said he wasn't relevant.
Looks like RP will beat
Looks like RP will beat McCain at least!!
Huck 2nd in Alaska? No freaking way
Fraud. Huck does well in the south, not libertarian states like Alaska. This is complete B.S. Romeny ahead of Paul? Perhaps. Huck? No freaking way.

At Least He's Beating Ol' Sunshine
You know this pisses off John "Sunshine" McCain to no end. Let's hope the Good Doctor keeps that 48 vote lead over the next 25%
