Important - Why Ron Paul won the election!!
In his blog today, Doug Wead ( the historian and political operative who coined the phrase compassionate conservative) writes why ron Paul won the election.
coming from inside the belt way, he pays tribute to Dr Pauls visosn and the revolution and expalins why it will evenutally win.
This is a mving pieve coming from a place where we have normally been ignored or even repudiated.
it is an important sign that we are winning. It also shows how important Dr. Pauls book will be.

"another reagan"
Lets all hope we don't get another reagan out of this. That would suck. What are people thinking? Yuck.
Right On
And I'm young enough to live to see it!
The Revolution
I have never posted before but felt the need after reading the article. It gave me chills.
Finally an article that got the point of this movement. Maybe Ron still has a chance or maybe he doesn't. But the movement will get bigger and stronger. We will have a party that will go back to the Constitution and change this country for the better. When our "Ronald Reagan" comes along we know that because we supported, donated and voted for Ron Paul we will be able to sit back with a smile and know we - along with Ron Paul - guided the train back on the right tracks. When the day comes we will not get the credit. Ron Paul will not get the credit. But we will know that our revolution, the 2008 Revolution, was ours.
There is more work to be done though. While we wait for "Ronald Reagan" to come we have alot of work to do at our local levels. We MUST get our revolution into Congress and our State governments. The change must come from ALL sides and not just the Presidency.
Ron Paul is going to deliver
us another baby. It's just in pregnancy right now. Who needs Reagan when we have the man himself. It ain't over yet. it's just started and the war/economy 2008 will be the focus over the next months. I do think that Ron paul has to explain in simple terms what we know to folk who won't get it otherwise. He should try and get on the Mad Money programme again and other consumer shows, etc. By-pass the news media and go for the victims of the economy via the RPnewspaper too.
'I always think of all you canvassors and precinct leaders at the front line.
Good luck out there &Thank you. It's appreciated'.-fip
I felt the same way
And the guy who wrote this worked for Reagan and has an acute understanding of exactly where that movement came from.
I really found it to be very hopeful. I am certain the Good Dr. himself woudl recognize the wisdom in it.
Books
On this note, does anyone know of a list of Authors aside from Mises and Hayek that Paul reads?
authors...
I think Ayn Rand.
Also Lew Rockwell, Murray Rothbard, Tom DiLorenzo...
Look at Mises.org - check their resources, such as books or media.
I've been going thru a series called "The Politically Incorrect Guide to American History." Lots of similarities to the things Dr. Paul says.
Vijay.
Atlas Shrugged
I just finished Atlas Shrugged, great book.
best book ever.
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.
