EVEN MORE SERIOUS A 3rd Party run is the dumbest idea on the planet

I have been in third party politics for a long time - its a loser. Talk about a black out with Ron Paul now, its total zip with a third party.

No Presidential debate, no news coverage - nothing.

Unless you are a billionaire and can buy national hour long television time - there is no chance.

The best chance Ron Paul has is to follow the campaign lead.

The Republicans will have a brokered convention - it was a shocker by the McCain camp that Huckabee won so many states.

There is no way the Republican National Convention will come away with first round winner for President. IT WILL GO TO A SECOND VOTE.

As it stand right now, we are closely trailing Romney for the most delegates to attend the convention, and they will be free to vote for Ron Paul on that second vote.

This is the strategy and this is the only way to win in a blackout.

I called people who never ever heard of Ron Paul - they seen his signs but thats it - they knew nothing about the man and were to lazy to find out more - they just relied on 30 second news bites to choose their candidate or their church to tell them what to do.

You are wrong.

If hillary beats obama in for the dems nominee, ron paul got a huge shot of winning in 3rd party, besides he DOES have the cash to do it.
The only candidate wanting the troops home immedietly will be him, which 3/4s of the country is for.

Nope, you are in the wrong...lol

Read the article. Ron Paul has the same chance of winning a third party run as you would if you started right now. The only way he would POSSIBLY even be seen and maybe split the vote (Perot) is if he had close to 500 million or so to spend. Wish you luck on THAT money bomb.

How much cash?

What does he have left, realistically?

AmericaFirstParty.org basically Buchanan wing of Reform Party

I have been in Third Party politics following Pat Buchanan into the Reform Party from the Republican Party years and years ago. When Buchanan took over the Reform Party we actually had a strong party following his 2000 Run. However infighting caused by Republican and Demcrat moles and weirdos ripped that party apart. So in mass the entire national committee and all the states left and formed a new party. The AmericaFirstParty.org.

I can assure you coming from a 3rd party that actually had minor party status nationally (the only 3rd party to ever do so) mainly because Perot did so well in 1996 when that party was formed. We still did not get time in the debates and we got little attention from the news, and the attention that we did get was mainly favors from Pat Buchanan's media buddies to get him on.

Ron Paul has no media buddies, a third party run would be a disaster without a billion dollars to back it up.

I need a break...

This revolution is relatively new to me in over the last 3 months and I feel like I need a break. I've totally alienated myself from my friends and family whom I can't relate with right now. I put my work down to help with the campaign and my life has been on hold. Right now I feel exhausted and beaten down by the reality of the people and future of this country. I'm sad, confused and lost in a way. I need a few months off to put myself back together... However, I think I could handle the revolution without RP being the figurehead. Maybe in a few months I'll be ready again...

take your break but don't forget to vote for a Ron Paul delegate

Hey, politics is exhausting but I have been through this before - welcome to a never ending battle.

However, you can still do one simple thing, and that is go to RonPaul2008 and find out who your state coordinator is and how to become a delegate or vote for a Ron Paul delegate - this is the most important thing you can do.

Thank you

I know we have to have the same stupid conversation every day about third party run.. so thanks for starting this thread for today's batch of third party posters.

no problem

I have experience deep into 3rd parties and currently I am part of the

AmericaFirstParty.org

Its impossibile to win at this time - if we go into a deep depression then maybe yes with a total collapse of the economy but thats about it

Keep the eye on the prize

Keep the eye on the prize - and that is being a vote at the national convention.

Become a delegate - check out RonPaul2008.com and learn how

Been there done that

with a third party. The problem is that the big 2 parties make all the rules and those rules do not favor a third party.
If McCain does get the nomination, even more folks will be saying I never left the republican party, it left me.

I agree

about the futility of third party. Convert the delegates!!!
