If Mitt DROPS OUT, they will support Dr. PAUL

My brother is Mormon and we have exchanged e-mails regarding Dr. Paul, and they supported him.

Mitt not only saved the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, he left them with a mass transit system free to those riding in town, and minimal charge for those from outside town. He also left them with millions in surplus to maintain this system, as well as other things. They didn't forget what he did for the state!

So, if he drops out, or in a brokered convention, his delegates would go to Dr. Paul in a heartbeat, because of their values in the Constitution and understand freedom.

LDS members, aka "Mormons" are great people with great family values and will switch to Ron Paul in a heartbeat. They are well-read and involved in politics in order to maintain freedoms locally and nationally.

So, from my unique insight and knowledge of Mitt's history in the state, I give this information to other like-minded supporters of Ron Paul.

There has been some bashing of this religion and it has no place here! You may not understand the religion, but you MUST understand their members are the nicest (and intelligent) people I have ever met.

Still I'm a little worried that the votes aren't even being counted fairly. It seems all the true Conservatives HATE McCain bitterly, yet he continues to outstrip everyone else. It just isn't plausible. Since we know how easy it is to cheat on the electronic vote counting, how can anyone trust that the numbers have any basis in reality?
So, where I'm going with this is, if Romney dropped out, and if his supporters came on board, do you think we'd ever know? Increasingly I believe that the course that this is following is the only possible way for Ron Paul to win, because there will be no candidate apparent at the end of the primary season and therefore the brokered convention will offer the only viable opportunity to tkae the nomination. Also, it would be a lot harder to cheat on the counting of votes by delegates.

I agree about how nice Mormans are, but maybe it's best for us if Mitt stays till the end.

The real target is not the Mormon base of primary voters, but the Mormon delegates who will be supporting Romney at the GOP convention. Look, McCain is going to the convention in the best possible light. We need to start trying to convince those delegates now for Ron Paul.

Let's throw on a special website just for Romney delegates. Let's host them to a nice lunch show them videos of religious freedom and the Constitution and win them over. It's great that Romney remains in the race to keep it open but in the long haul Romney will likely not prevail at the GOP Convention. It's dubious that McCain would take him on as VP.

But Ron Paul on the other hand, he could perhaps take Romney on as VP.

I am a mormon and RP supporter. If Mitt dropped out, and I don't think he will, RP should pick up some of his support. Maybe a lot. I have been reminding the mormons I know that it is their duty to support the constitution. That is taught in our doctrine and by our leaders. We believe that agency is the greatest gift given to us by our Father in Heaven and we are in a war with satan and his followers who are constantly trying to take our agency away and undermine our freedom.
The U.S. Constitution, which we believe was divinely inspired and so did all the founding fathers, serves to protect the sacred agency God gave us. I tell all my fellow mormons that RP will do more than Romney to protect the constitution and have convinced quite a few.

Joel Skousen said that Mitt had lost his way, and that Glenn Beck was a traitor (his words) and that he has been a friend of Ron Paul for many years and supported him. That's it in a nutshell!

Now I know why it was removed, Mitt probably discovered it's existence.

I'm not a Mormon, so I can't say. However, since you are arguing from a Mormon perspective, assuming you are right, I would agree simply because if 2 other candidates attacked my fellow Mormon as badly as Huckabuck and McInsane have attacked Romney, then yeah, I'd vote for Paul just because he never attacked my man.

Otherwise, I don't think this theory has legs - most Mitt supporters just hated McInsane and Huckabuck, but are still pro-war.

This was written over 150 years ago by Pres. Joseph Smith of the LDS Church. Mitt Romney does not apply to this quote. Mitt Romney will not defend and protect the Constitution. The members of the LDS Faith have to be reminded of the good things of their past in order to see that Romney is off and Ron Paul is their man.

Wake up! Most registered Republicans will NOT support Dr. Paul because he is against the war, and they've been brainwashed by Fox to believe that is the Republican position. They had their chance to support him and they didn't. And they won't.

The public is scared. Despite being war weary, they still think the boogey man is living under their beds.

This issue makes many love Ron Paul, but many more loathe him. I don't see people just coming to the Paul camp because of a lack of choices. For most "republicans", winning this war is important.

Like I said on numerous occasions, Ron Paul's message is not the republican message, it's an American message. Please please please let's forget about these corrupt 2-party systems and focus our energies toward getting Ron Paul elected as the first Independent candidate in history. It can happen, people. but I think a lot of LDS members have forgoten about Former Pres. Ezra Taft Benson who was a libertarian and had the same political beliefs as Ron Paul. Pres. Benson has written many book about our government and the proper role of it. Pres. Benson's Idea of foreign policy is Identical as Ron Paul's also. I know there is a few out of the many members who remember his political beliefs. One thing I don't understand is that many members of the LDS church are for the war because our scriptures talk about not going to war unless god gives the command basically. I think if we can help the members remember Pres. Benson's belief about what the role of government ought to be then it will possibly help them see that Romney is way off and focus on Ron Paul and how his beliefs are align with Pres. Benson's. The Mormon Church is very big here in our county. I have found them to be much more honest than the Christian right. When they give their word on something, it means something to them. Regrettably, I have found just the opposite from the Christian right. I know I come from the Christian right!

From what I've read

on LDS members, RP is right in line with a lot of what they want in a representative. So I think we'll get the lion's share of those votes when Mitt drops, which could be soon.. ;)

there should not be any bashing of mormons on this site....I have seen it and I don't like it.

I graduated from the University of Utah, (and no I am not mormon), and I would not be surprised if alot of mormons would back Dr. Paul if Romney quit. They are very active politically. Although in SLC they usually lean more democratic.

I don't see Romney quitting anytime soon though.

I lived in Mesa for 2 years and never met a better group of people. Excellent family values, well read and informed, loving liberty, etc. I think we should reach out to anyone with a like mind or ideals. I knew that Utah would vote for their favorite son...that's ok.

It's a big tent after all. Plenty of room for Independants and Democrats too.
