A sneaky WIN for Ron Paul
For all those that are going to become delegates for Ron Paul
DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE LOUISIANA DID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
When you go to vote for delegates do NOT wear Ron Paul gear, DO NOT let them know you are Ron Paul supporters. Become sneaky stealth Ron Paul operatives. You will know who the Ron Paul delegates are beforehand because you will be in contact with your state coordinator.
As a matter of fact I would recommend calling your slate something else besides the Ron Paul slate.
Maybe the Reagan Spirit of 76 slate or something -- this way you will pick up people who are not Ron Paul supporters who are looking at what your values are. I would NOT mention the war issue on your slate. Thats a dead giveaway.
The slate should be low taxes or no taxes, GUN RIGHTS, Pro Life, Balanced Budget that sort of thing

Maybe, maybe not
Before my caucus last Sat., I debated with myself about this and decided to wear my white RP2008 button. As it turns out, there was another couple and a single man that had arrived before I did that were also RP supporters but they didn't have any gear on.
One idea is to bring a button, and put it on later if it feels 'safe', which was what my original plan was. I'd suggest that if you're a praying person, pray about it! Then follow what feels best to you, for me it felt best to wear my RP button -- I don't do 'sneaky' very well. And in my case it worked out fine. So ymmv.

I agree
this is how I won and nobody contested me.. I told them all that I was Anti Iraq War after everything was over, then they were shocked at me! But I quickly said I am against the war in Iraq with Conditions... they all dummied down and looked happy again.
Nobody asked about my "Conditions" if they would have I would have cited the constitution.
Might this not be a sneaky way...
for Romney's or Huckabee's or McCain's supporters to trick me into thinking that I'm voting for a Paul Slate?
You make an interesting point, however I think it may be riskier than saying you are for Paul flat out.

problems and solutions
I'm not sure about this. If you are extremely well organized and can trust people (who are not openly pledged) to be your "moles" all the way through the selection process, OK, but at some point you bump into the OTHER organizations.
The opponents KNOW you're not "one of them." The field is narrowed enough, and the ability to check campaign donations via computer is so simple, that hidden or disguised Ron Paul delegates will be identifiable at an early step in the caucus-convention ladder.
More of a problem than the neo-con-influenced Republicans who reflexively reject Dr. Paul is the sad fact that internet popularity doesn't translate into real-world activism in an effective way. Almost 5,000 people came to cheer Dr. Paul in Minneapolis. How many went to caucuses? I know someone who had a print-out (sent by the campaign) of eleven people in his precinct who were KNOWN Paul supporters, and he called the other ten ahead of time about the caucus. NONE of them showed up.
This is a learning process. Some Paulunteers in some states have shown the rest of us what needs to be done, namely, door-to-door canvassing, precinct-by-precinct. THAT IS WHY THE CAMPAIGN SEEKS PRECINCT LEADERS---but even with Super Tuesday behind us, fewer than 10% of precincts nationally have people signed up as leaders.
I ask, did YOU come to be a Ron Paul supporter because of any kind of successful "stealth" strategy or tactics? Or did YOU become a supporter because someone else (starting with Dr. Paul) DID have the courage of their convictions, DID speak against the war and its terrible costs and consequences, DID defend civil liberties and the Constitution against depredation; DID question the financial house of cards imposed by the reckless politicians and the manipulators of finance?
Disqualifying and rejecting Paul supporters because they visibly and articulately support Dr. Paul is the political machine's corollary of the media blackout and slanders against him. There may be in some cases a short-term advantage for us in "mole" operations, but there is an ends-and-means issue to consider. We don't like to be fooled---do we think it is wise to try to advance by fooling others?
Ultimately, Dr. Paul's ideas can ONLY prevail if enough people understand them and DO accept them. We need to try harder to explain them even better.
This doesn't mean, don't use political stratagems. Just think it through.
This is the way, baby!
Thanks!

Definately STEALTH
I totally agree with your post.....especially the slate idea.
Very good!
Every time that has killed us in the caucuses
In West Virginia we had more total delegates than anyone else, but because everyone went push Ron Paul hard core and wear Ron Paul garb they knew who we were and we had to compromise with Huckabee in the end to get delegates - the good news is McCain and Romney got NO delegates from WV.
important so another to the top

STEALTH absolutely is
STEALTH absolutely is necessary. Most people support RP but just dont know it. Remember how he did in those blind polls!
Be stealthy [ is that a word] and be friendly and nice to people. Make your opponents LIKE YOU! Most people want to be followers, they are lazy. Show them that you are a leader, who believes in what the do.
STEALTH folks, STEALTH.
