New member with an idea

Hi all,
I'm new, and I've been reading awhile, and I've got an idea to present.
We're going to have to put full effort toward Ron Paul's push to the Convention, but there is some time after that, over the summer that we can have some effect on the "enemy campaign".
Almost all of us now, are registered Republicans to vote for Ron. So that means that we also have a tool at our disposal to try to deal with the Neocons, our arch-enemy. Now, we know that the neocon "sacred cow" is the "war". They worship it like an idol. And this is where we can hit them where it will hurt most.
As registered Republicans, we can use our well-oiled PR machine to press the Republican members of the House and Senate who are up for election, to vote to defund the war and pull out. If every one of us calls, writes, emails, our Republican representatives and demands they proactively oppose the war, or face mass loss of voting support in their upcoming re-elections, we can hurt them. A Ron Paul style coordinated mass effort to pummel the Republican congress members to stop the war. Pull out all the stops and give a total effort.
In addition to helping to get the war stopped, we can put a big hurt on the Neocon agenda which is all centered around the war. If they can't get congressional support for their war, they are stymied. And we need to stymie them. And now we're all registered Republicans that can make an impact on the Republican congress members which usually kowtow to the Neocons.
They have been playing hardball, and we need to play hardball back. Their weakness has been revealed, and it's "the war". Hit them as hard as we can in their weakest spot. Hit 'em hard and often, with intent to do maximum damage. These Neocons are our nemesis, and they did everything they could do to damage our efforts to help RP. We need to return the favor.

This is a New Year
Last year no one even new who Ron Paul was, this year at least we have our foot in the door. We know what we are up against, and if Ron has to run third party I think it will only boost morale. Im not saying that the fight for the GOP is over, but at the same time why not be at least prepared for the next step.
This Years Advantages, based on last years experiences.
- We know for certain that the MSM is just a tool for the other side, so stop crying about what the MSM does and does not, they are NOT on our side!
- Canvassing with DVD's, and Flyers has been really effective, the average citizen, once informed will have the fire to do somthing and that only makes our rEVOLution stronger. How many supporter from the other camps do what we do? Overpasses all over L.A. have Ron Paul rEVOLution banners.
-I have personally converted everyone of my friends and family over to Ron Paul by just explaining it in simple terms. We are Fighting for our Constitution, the only thing that protects our RIGHTS! So word of mout does work.
-If you were one of the guys just ranting on the computer all day, wake up, get out and move, get out and be the difference you want to see. Clearly sitting on your computer did not get the job done!
-Donations to the campaign are the life blood of this Movement. Without that Ron Paul would be an after thought by now.
-Forum boards, Websites, and such have been a key in organizing our rEVOLution. Keep them up.
-At the same time don't just preach to the people who are already followers, go out side and convert people who have never heard of Ron Paul. Some people stay in these forums where there is little or no opposition, and then wine when there is opposition. You knuckle heads, if you can't deal with oppostion in a forum, how the hell are you gonna deal with it out on the streets? For me contrasting view points only sharpen my mental edge. Get out and get new People, stop being afraid of opposition!
-Those videos posted by the average joe are really effective in opening the minds of the sheeple, or so called "blue pill" people. After watching a good documentary like "Freedom to Facism" people will say to me, "well what can I do It's all rigged." "Actually" I say, you do have an option, there is this guy Ron Paul who is voicing your concerns and is fighting as we speak to uphold this constitution, you want to do something look up Ron Paul, and spread the word!
Now we have one year still to do what we have to do, if we have 500,000 people on our side now, it is still staggering compared to last year when no one new Ron Paul. I remember last year in the spring I was telling people about Ron and they had no clue what I was talking about, by mid year it was, "Oh that internet guy." "The Kook.". Now when I talk about Ron Paul people actually are alot more open to him, so I see proggress. I alway laugh at the people who don't see the bigger picture, " Oh, Ron lost a couple of GOP states, I give up." WTF? Did you put all of your eggs in one basket, this is about FREEDOM, the CONSTITUTION, Your RIGHTS! You give up? This is going to take time, and if you give up at the first sign of adversity, than you have truly missed the point, or the example that RON PAUL HAS LEFT US. He has been fighting this fight for longer than most of you have been alive, and you want to give up in less than a year?

Move Forward, It reminds me of that Rocky speech, it's not how many times you get hit, it's how many times you can get hit and keep moving forward, and that's How Winning is done!
Look at it like this, We have had a practice run, a whole year to see what does and does'nt work, we see our shortcommings and we see our strengths now. We have another chance at this, we have until November to make our case stronger, and if this year is anything like last year I expect to see our message grow by leaps and bounds.
If by November we don't have a President Paul it is not the end of the world, it is just the begining of a new one, as long as we get the message out, there will be others to carry the torch of FREEDOM. This is not about RON PAUL this is about our CONSTITUTION, and that is what people resonate to. I could shout Ron Paul on the street corner all day and get little or no response, except for the ocasional honk from a fellow supporter. I go and talk to new converts not about Ron Paul but in a different way, I talk about the fact we are losing our rights, to bills like "the patriot act" and the "Military commisions act" and our constitution is endanger. I only offer Ron Paul as a solution, as person who understands and has the same concerns about losing our rights.
The Truth is the Only Weapon We Need!
Now let's knuckle up get some feet on the ground and go do this!
You may read this and just cast it aside, as another comment or we can start galvanizing our strategy, instead of crying about how unfair it is, how unfair everyone is to us, wake up the world is an unfair place, it takes JUST men and women to Make it a JUST place. GALVANIZE THE MOVEMENT, make it clear what our path should be. Don't wait on HQ ever since when did we do that? Independence is the Strength of this movement, stop blaming everyone else and get up get out and do something!
The Seeds of Truth we Plant today will grow to be the Tree of Freedom tommorow.

Congress is off during the summer - we can't make them vote
Not that it would matter anyway. Seriously, they hold their seats because of the war - just look at McCain.
In my local newspaper today a guy said that he wants his friend in the Marines to come home, so he voted for McCain because "he knows how to end the war!" People are just beyond stupid.

We have 100 years of bad management to turn around. We have to keep working.
I think the forthcoming book by Ron Paul, ...Revolution... will help. But all 500000 of us who've voted for RP, and many others, need to keep working.
Basically, the Federal Reserve, and US Strength and "Diplomacy" have defied the laws of physics for a long time. But the same strategy won't keep working forever. The sooner we follow sound policies, the better off we'll all be. And safer and more prosperous too.

there is not a nite that goes by that i dont think of our soldiers fighting that illegal war...and of the innocent iraqis ,,,especially the children, what has happened to us? if we support our troops the way we all claim to, then it is our responsibility to end the bloodshed and return our people home where they can do the most good here, and to leave those poor people of iraq in peace.......ill write my letter first thing in the morning........welcome by the way, glad to have you.......
It's not just about neocons
Neither Obama or Hillary plan to end the war soon. What they say now will be a different story from what will happen if either are elected.
I could be wrong but didn't we hear something about mandatory military service from Hillary? Call it what you want, but it sounds like a draft to me.
Remember, the new world order elite are running the show. They "need to tame" the middle east. That requires more (uneducated) sheep.

I saw a video today of how
rough it is on the troops in fact one trooper on his third tour said it was worse than before. We MUST continue this fight for our troops bring them home, if nothing else this fight is in support of our men and women. We can't let them down. This war is wrong, wrong, wrong.

IMO this is dangerous. There are really only two ways to handle Iraq, stay or leave. A reduction will only cause us to return with more more troops and more casualties.
If we leave troops in Iraq we need to keep the level we have. That being said, if we leave we should leave, like RP says "Just come home"
The war won't ever end while we are there, and a diminished half hearted presence will only get soldiers and marines killed more quickly.

Is it because we have walled-off entire areas and left others to anihilate each other?
I haven't read the American's version, but I know the Iraqi's say it is way worse than under Saddam - that they are trapped behind walls, that if you leave you will probably never come back. That American troops keep getting killed, but not as much as before because we have just abandoned the really bad areas.
Millions of Iraqi's are exiled in other countries, and apparently, we just abduct random Iraqi's for interrogation, and most of them never return (OK, this I read, but I'm not sure how credible it is).

Not a bad idea. We need to be letting our representatives know what we think is important and if they don't do anything about it, we will vote them out!
