I Don't Expect Any Response To This -- Just Me On A Short Rant

This voting process we have here in the United States. Could it be any more complicated? We call ourselves the United States of America when in actuality we should be calling ourselves --

The United States of 'Confusion'

I mean who among us truly understands (knows) all the various differences that exist when it comes to how we go about electing (selecting) our leaders in this country? I don't, I don't have a clue.

What I thought was a simple process (we being united in a cause, we being together on this super important function) was nothing more than me doing my part by going to a voting booth on voting day and making it known as to who my choice is. Now I'm not going to even get into does our vote actually count (the computer ate my vote kind of rant) -- you know -- voting fraud, etc.

But the very idea of just making known what one's choice is goes far beyond that simplistic concept. All this stuff about DELEGATES and SUPER-DELEGATES // now what's that truly all about?

Why do we need a confusing matter as this thrown into what could otherwise be a simple, unified concept of making our individual choice known? Our vote seems to me to be taken from there to places, to points unknown called DELEGATES. And from there our vote gets lost in the confusion of it all.

Now I say this not to be contrary on a Thursday morning, but I say this (not truly expecting an answer because I don't believe anyone out there can truly and actually give me an answer that will make any sense of this fiasco event) // Each State, as I have come to understand, processes (handles, whatever the correct term is) their DELEGATES differently. They do them differently (??) -- now the only thing 'united' in that is confusion to the max.

In some States, Democrats do things completely opposite from how the Republican DELEGATES are handled. In some States (but not all) Republicans have a winner take all approach, while in some States they split the DELEGATES among the group. Now that itself becomes total confusion; and I know it doesn't start or end there -- which only helps me be confused even more so. I don't see any logic to this process other than to say it is intended to keep us confused for a reason -- A CORRUPT REASON.

We're dealing with corrupt politicians here (not all, not RON PAUL, I don't believe that about him), we're dealing with rampant voter fraud possibilities here, we're dealing with media bias and its undue influence; and then we're dealing with utter and complete confusion as to a process called DELEGATES. And that's only the surface of the election process. I honestly say this has evolved as it has to help those that would use this process to their advantage to do just that very thing, i.e., confuse, double-talk, redirect, misinform -- and the list goes on and on in such manner.

-- And to top it off:
Somehow I've gotten the idea in my head that although my vote counts, it really doesn't count BECAUSE what counts is the number of DELEGATES a candidate receives. Oh, okay, what?

Now what in the Sam-Hell is going on in our country? We have been hijacked every which way but loose and many are looking at this process and reporting back -- 'Well that's just the way it is, the best damn country in the world'. Yeah, that helps clear up the mud // NOT!

I'm not sure I feel any better trying to get that out of my system. Nothing was solved and nothing has been changed. We're still the United States of 'Confusion' and confused we will remain, or so it seems --

The only hope as I see it is somehow (??) RON PAUL managing to find his way among all of this confused mess and take seat in the White House; and then, and only then, will perhaps this again become the United States of America. Damn, I sincerely hope so,

GOD BLESS AMERICA

Actually, as bizarre and mindboggling as it is ...

... it really works to the benefit of the little guy. Do you think that Ron Paul would have a ghost of a chance if it weren't this way? The same with the Electoral College. If the General Election was decided by popular vote, then no one would focus on small or rural states, and California, New York, Texas, and Florida would be the only places any candidate would campaign. And surely only the most well financed candidate would win. You should be quite glad that it's set up this way.

I take my marching orders from the Constitution!

I agree...

I agree it IS a confusing system, Maybe when we become delegates to the convention that issue could be one of the party platforms. Return the vote to the people. We are not free if we aren't willing to defend Liberty. Patriot4Paul

It is very confusing

But we can never have a popular vote because that is majority rule and we are a constitutional republic. I don't understand it all myself.

.

Well I hope there is some rhyme or reason for this madness!!
