Romney Quits to Help Push McCain Over the Top and Prevent Brokered Convention
Romney has quit. With fewer people competing for the pie, this may help put McCain over the top in the remaining states and thus prevent a brokered convention.
Definitely an attempt to prevent the one thing we are hoping for.
The fix is in. Only God can help us now!
The remaining states will likely fall to McCain and Huckabee; but RP will pick up some delegates, too. Our only hope is that Huck stays in and picks up enough delegates to prevent McCain from going over the top. But if Huck drops out now...it is OVER!
With no brokered convention, all hope is lost. A third party run will be our only course.

Regarding future debates....
.....I sincerely doubt Ron Paul will be invited because they will use the criteria of having won a state in the primaries.
Are there even any debates scheduled in the coming months?
I hope I'm completely wrong about Paul not being able to be included in the debates.

Romney boards
We need to communicate with Romney's people. Any Romney chat links?
Debates? Are People Joking?
If Huckleberry quit now there would be no more debates.
McCain simply wouldnt show up at any further debates and the media would pitch in (they already have) by crowning him king.
The only hope left is that Huckster is serious. He might benifit big from Romney leaving as most of Romneys vote wouldn't be going to Mccain ... It actualy now is a 2 man race just like the dem race is and we are hanging around to see if there is a crack to jump in.
God help Us
I hope we can still get to a brokered convention, otherwise it is all over.
This may backfire...
If it's true that Romney is dropping out to aid McCain then it very well may backfire.
McCain is intensely hated by nearly all of those who call themselves "conservative republicans".
Huckabee may end up getting the boost from Romney dropping out. Which would be good for Dr. Paul since it would tend to continue to hold McCain at bay in delegate count.
Huck holds the Cards
Huckabee holds all the cards in this game. We will have to watch and see how he plays them. CFR is betting McCain can carry the remaining states and push it over the top. But, it may not play out that way. Huck may pick up the delegates and we still end up at a brokered convention. Watch for them to offer Huck VP behind McCain.
A chess game played by the power elite.
CFR isn't "betting" anything, they're running the show!
McCain is their chosen one because they really want Hillary to win.
Huck is the chosen VP candidate to get the Christians on board.
Ron Paul will run 3rd party.
Suzan, and others, please stop
You are right on the first count, but please stop spreading the rumor that RP will run as third party, as the OM is spinning it, so that people will think he's a non-candidate. You are not helping by doing spreading OM lies.
Ron Paul need to hold a
Ron Paul need to hold a press conference to tell people were still in it. The mSm is already giving our nomination to mccain saying the deal is sealed
Deals
Huck has likely made a deal with McCain to be his VP. After all they are the two most liberal in the whole race...
We do need this press conference and I've written to them to ask.
We also need outreach to Mormons.
RP - Huck Coalition
Maybe some kind of RP-Huck coalition will be formed to keep the ball in game. Who knows.
Wow! What an election year!
Songbird
Songbird has no chance
This is what AIPAC is pushing for
Huckleberry is on their list too. He will make the VP to evade the brokered convention.
I hope HQ comes up with an idea now to stop that warmonger snackass of McCum
One big chess game
with one hand playing both sides but who knows maybe this time it just won't play out as expected.
Yes, it could blow up in
Yes, it could blow up in their face. If McCain doesn't get the delegates needed soon enough, it could literally come down to McCain and RP, but it seems unlikely.
Everything depends upon Huckabee, or so it would seem.
Still, God is in control and may be guiding things to bring RP success. Let us hope and pray so.
Well if it gets to that
no more excuses of people being confused or uncertain--these men are the antithesis of each other.
Well...actually...
wouldn't that mean RP and McCain would go head-to-head? McCain can't debate RP with any credibility.
Powers at be
would do anything to prevent that. RP would dominate McInsane in a fair debate.
The debates will become very interesting now
This is what I'm saying!!! Is the media going to have McCain debate HIMSELF in the debates?! They are now forced to give debate time to Ron Paul!
No. What would likely happen
No. What would likely happen is that McCain would get enough delegates to go over the top, before RP had a real chance to compete.
but wouldn't all that depend...
on how many new people heard Ron Paul in the upcoming, and less crowded, debate? Ron should, by default at least, get more talking time, which could tip the remaining states in Paul's favor.
There are so many people that still haven't heard about Paul, or think he's dropped out. This last month, with fewer candidates, could really be the tipping point.
VP Huckabee
Watch them offer Huck the VP spot behind McCain to get him to drop out.
Yes this will happen very very soon
McCain is the chosen one and Huck is his chosen VP.
Is this a blessing in disguise?
The media will have no choice but to let Dr. Paul speak more in the debates now that there are 3 candidates left.
I think
Bloomberg is going to enter the picture soon as well.
Yep
Thats why Huck has to win, and I think he will get a majority of Romney's people and I think Ron Paul will get the next most and McCain last - people hate McCain, the only reason he even won states was that there were three conservative type candidates splitting the vote - that won't happen anymore.
Mormons hate Huck
Romney's delegates will be convinced to support McCain for party loyalty. Mc Cain will get the nomination and our good Doctor will run 3rd party. The true conservatives will vote for him.
Praying Huck stays In!
Let us hope that Huck stays in. They will offer him the moon to drop out and prvent a brokered convention.
Pins & Needles
Let's hope HQ makes a statement soon. I can't stand the suspense!
It would seem that way, but
I can't imagine Romney's supporters voting for McCain. Romney, although supporting the Iraq occupation, has not harped all that much on terrorism and the war. He has talked in favor of it as it is an issue, but people in strong support of war are probably already in McCain's camp. McCain has come out with some really NASTY attacks on Romney, some outright lies. I think most of Romney's group has a strong resentment of McCain. I think McCain will be the least helped by this than Hickabee and Ron Paul. And Ron Paul is the only candidate left that did not attack Mormonism.
Huck will prevent McCain majority
Interesting
Huckabee is CFR. There is
Huckabee is CFR. There is no promise he will stay in and fight until the end. The pressure is on; promises will be made. A deal will be struck. They don't want a brokered convention.
The remaining states will
The remaining states will likely fall to McCain and Huckabee; but RP will pick up some delegates, too. Our only hope is that Huck stays in and picks up enough delegates to prevent McCain from going over the top. But if Huck drops out now...it is OVER!
Good Thing We Helped Him In West Virginia
IMissLiberty
War in Iran
Seems that Romney was alluding to needing a war President. Meaning how the #1 issue is supposed to be the economy right now, maybe he is telling us something we don't have the intel on yet. Cables, oil bourse...
Either way, lets get those Romney backers, who are concerned with the ECONOMY behind Ron Paul!
The timing tells it all
If Romney had done as poorly as Ron Paul, some could expect him to drop out. The difference shows one of two things: either he is less commited to his vision for America than Ron Paul is, and therefore, is not big enough for the job; or, he made a deal of some kind or yielded to some intense pressure to bow out now to prevent a brokered convention and establish John McCain as the inevitable, indisputable frontrunner, thus making it less likely for Ron Paul build up the steam he certainly could in a fair two or three man race.
Yes, the fix is in ...
BUT...
they cannot stop a determined, unrelenting, grassroots proliferation of sound reasoning, not the constant shedding of light on their manipulative ways. The MSM is simply a crude oil used to slicken the road for the slick political lemmings of the international bankers, et al, and make their efforts easier.
We must not forget, there is another Oil. The Oil of gladness. the oil of the Holy Sirit of God can can move across our land (if God's people will turn from their sin and seek His face, etc.) and make it easier for the message of freedom to enter the minds and hearts of the American people.
Pray for God's mercy on us. Pray for God's help. Pray as if it all depends on Him and then go work as if it all depends on you.
Those who do not believe in God have always benefitted from the blessings poured on on those who do.
Freedom is a gift from our Creator, it is an inalienable right, and it benefits all; thus the wide range of supporters of Ron Paul.
Go Ron Paul!
Help, Lord!
or his family is telling him
to stop wasting their inheritance. Without their personal monies, the campaign was over anyway. He had won caucus states but fared poorly on open voting primaries. All he could look forward to was spending another $20 or 30 million of his own dollars for a few more states.
The msm is already saying
The msm is already saying McCain is the the winner, he has sealed the deal. theyre all saying this. even though half of the US hasnt even voted yet, even though he is far from the total number of delegates needed to win. But if the msm said it then it must be true, at least that is how the world is gonna see it.
Suspending vs. withdrawing
By suspending did he not tie up his delegates won this far from going to other campaigns? It does not make sense that if this post was the case he would not have endorsed someone?
He still owns the delegates..He just suspended his campaign
If RP makes a sudden and significant surge, he might withdraw completely to give the front-runner his votes. Just what I think. BUT, the surge will be significant enough to thwart that move.

He quit. Period. He
He quit. Period. He specifically said he did not to pursue his campaign to the convention, lest he divide the party when the nation is at war.
Ok, if he quit, where will his delegates go?
Will McPain get them? His delegates are still the same numerically.

Everything stands on
Everything stands on Huckabee. No doubt they are trying to broker a deal with Huckabee so he bows out too, but not before McCain gets the needed delegates, lest by chance RP pick too many up.
Those who hate McCain
Will have no choice but to vote for Dr. Paul if Huckabee drops out, am I right? This could be really good for us.
Death to us all
Hillabeast vs. McWar
That is why
Dr. Paul should be pretty close to going third party, McWar vs. Hillary could open up discontented space for Paul.
Like I said before..
Let's use this to our advantage. First, on Feb 9th:
Let's complete our win in Louisiana - RP must make another camaign stop and reassure the people that RP's campaign is alive and well. Then mobilize our foot soldiers and double the effort by inviting the other groups from the neighboring states.
Nebraska - RP must make a campaign stop here and mobilize our foot soldiers there and the neighboring states as well.
Washington - same as above, RP must return there also;
Call US Virgin Islands - This is 9 delegates' worth. Every little number will add up. Let them know that their votes count.

Romney's Delegates can support whomever they want...
...they don't have to support the person Romney endorses. I hope there were a lot of Paul delegates in the primary states that Romney won.
Won't matter if McCain can
Won't matter if McCain can pick up enough delegates in the remaining states. That is the CFR's goal - get the remaining states to vote for McCain and prevent a brokered convention.
Huckabee - What will He do?
If Huck drops out, RP could pick up a lot of delegates, but the GOP will argue that the "patriotic" thing to do is support McCain at this time of national war, attmepting to consolidate votes behind the front runner.
