How I Won My Huge Caucus

I spent 3 hours on the phone rallying people to support me in my precinct.
I delivered literature to the ones who liked ron pauls ideas.
I called them again super Tuesday,
Then I called them Tuesday evening while I was driving to the Caucus.
I took my Copy Machine and Cell Phone/Charger to the caucus so all ten precincts could make copies and call in for Voter Verification (preprogrammed on my cell now).
My precinct had no Chair person so I prepared and educated myself to run the caucus.
I arrived 45 minutes early, setup chairs and tables, and lo and behold 23 people showed up this year, two years ago 0. I verified 19 and the other 4 could not participate.
Once people started showing up I put my sweater on to hide my Ron Paul Revolution T-Shirt.
I started the meeting and told everyone if they would elect me to be temporary Chair Person, that I would make sure they got home in time to watch American Idol. Hahahhahaa
They agreed and voted for me unanimously.

I motioned to nominate myself as State and Congressional Delegate and everyone agreed, and nobody contested. I proceeded to ask if anyone would nominate someone else.. they all declined.. I asked this over and over.. and nobody would do it. I said "fine, then by default I will hold these positions and everyone agreed. Then I nominated myself to be Precinct Chair Person and everyone agreed and voted unanimously.
Then we did 26 stupid watered down resolutions and 1 Great resolution that was an RPaulian piece of work which we proudly passed along with most of my county.
I also co organized the county and brought my 3 year old to all the events (single dad).
To win: Be aggressive, assertive, funny, nice, and genuine, and don't tell anyone who you support .... instead I have designed a stump speech.
I am a strong fiscal conservative, 100% pro life, Pro national security, Constitutional economy, sound money, lawful war, gun ownership, free speech loving republican and am a strong advocate of Americans everywhere.
I want to nominate a president who will return the power of government to the people and get the government out of our pockets and out of our lives and the one that can beat Hillary.

I was at the same caucus location and Shane did a fantastic job!
I had to run 6 caucuses at once and no one knew what to do. Luckily I still won the delegate spots in my caucus as did lots and lots of Ron Paul people in our County.
We'll have official numbers in a few weeks after the County Assembly.

These are the kind of tools people need to go out and get the job done. The delegate process requires commitment to the cause and we have a vast army of supporters who have just that. Put the correct tools to successfully manouevre the delegate process and we are golden come RNC time.

This is part of Rons' message...get involved, and keep the grassroots going to change the system that has been so lopsidedly against our message. We need to rebuild the republican party from the ground up...back to what it once stood for. Personally I'm not here for the party, but it is a solid established base to implement Dr. Pauls teachings (as he has done for the past 30 years, but now he has us listening). And even for those of you who still truly believe that those in the official HQ are somehow incompetent, if this movement has shown us anything, is that STOP complaining and JUST DO IT. YOU do what you think is best to move this campaign forward. We've all organized here anyways. That's true people power.

As far as I'm concerned, the latest email is a little test that the Doc has dropped upon us. Those who are truly committed will drive this campaign, by virtue of passion, faith, hard and smart work. Let us NOT fail him. Let us not fail ourselves. Let us not lose this REPUBLIC.
Priority No.1: Becoming delegates, in states that are still open.
Priority No.2: Visibility, believe it or not, depending on polls and depending on election cycles, what I'm finding out is that most people, between 40%-70% UNBELIEVABLY decide who to vote for last minute, at the polling booth!! So we MUST re-DOUBLE our efforts to Canvass, door to door.
We are so surrounded by the ubiquity of RP support around our circles, that we often forget that to this day, many still have no idea who our Good Doctor is. Let us change that from this moment to all the way up to Nov.
I certainly am committed spreading the message wherever and whenever I can, including financially.
This is a clarion call. The Doctor has NEVER quit in his entire life. He gave us over 30yrs of public service. With the momentum and the support we have, how petulant and pathetic of us, will it be to quit over ONE mis-read letter??

I think everyone needs to realize that anyone can do this. It is not all about sign waving and cheering our candidate, it is about participating in the process and learning how the system works. If you do not know how it works, go find out!
Ron Paul supporters need to be activists, but at the same time, we must take something that normally we do not like, and that one thing we do not like is power! We can not let others run the system and expect the results to miraculously turn up in our favour. We need to become active and take back these smaller positions of power so that we may take our leaders towards the "bigger" ones.
Anyway, thank you for your inspiration, and to all supporters, please become a precinct leader. Do not be afraid of the word leader, you are more like a manager then anything else, and you do not need to think of your self as Ron Paul to do it. I am amazed at how low the number of precinct leaders are, at this time there are 17778, if every precinct leader visited his or her neighbouring precinct, and managed to find 1 person to sign up, we would have the leaders requested by the campaign in 1 week! What is going on people?!? Get your asses of the couch and get out there! Get to work!

In the run up to Super Tuesday, I probably talked to 500
people in my community as the Precinct Leader, and I did not find one person I even considered asking to sign up as a Precinct Leader. I was lucky to get people willing to go out and vote for Ron Paul. People don't want to be bothered, they don't want to volunteer or spend much time even talking to you, much less asking them to spend a bunch of time talking to other people. Probably 10 percent of the people I called hung up without even bothering to offer an excuse, another 20 or 25 percent explained briefly why they didn't want to/couldn't participate in even talking to me about Ron Paul (or the non-advocacy poll) Finding people to be a Precinct Leader is not as easy as you may think. The only candidate signs up near my polling place were Ron Paul signs that I PUT UP. No one else in my precinct even bothered campaiging for their candidate. The only other signs up in my whole town besides Ron Paul signs that I and someone else I do not know put up, were a couple of Hillary signs. Not even a Huckabee sign to be found and Huck won our town with about 55%. My precinct gave RP 6.57%, while the rest of my town nearly exactly tracked the State of Arkansas as a whole with 4.8% I have never heard of an election where the yard sign race is so dominated by one candidate who ends up getting only 4-6%. It is unreal.

This is inspirational and so so sad at the same time
Sad because I long to be able to do the same thing, and sad because I'm in Michigan and the local chair was less than friendly, trying to get meeting times was impossible, and I ended up missing out when I really wanted to be a delegate.
Inspirational, because other people are able to get it done so to speak. I'm really looking forward to being able to get involved more next election cycle. I'm starting already.
Keep up the fantastic work! This is exactly what we need to turn this country around people. That, a little bit of the Revolution, and plenty of people working locally. We should be able to really change things.
