Indiana meetup - Should we help Huckabee to get on the ballot?

"4,500 signatures of registered voters are needed. The signatures must include at least 500 signatures from each of Indiana 's 9 Congressional Districts. The petitions are due by February 12, 2008."

I think we would need a nod from the HQ.

Edit: We probably shouldn't.

Stupid thing to do

Why would you want to help Huckabee get on the ballot? If he isn't on the ballot it is possible that many of his supporters will support RP!!!!!

NO

If it ends up a two man race that helps I think. If McMan has the delegates only the Paul people will come out to vote. They would have no reason to get out any effort in Indiana but Paul could come in an get it.
I see the other side as in trying to stop McMan from getting the delegates needed. That is a tough one.

Huck

Huck said that there were only 2 candidates left, maybe that's what he meant Ron and Mexi-Cain in Indiana

Render unto Huck what is

Render unto Huck what is Huck's. Render unto Dr. No which is Dr. No's.

I am sure

The deadline will be extended for HUCK

Let Huckster worry about

Let Huckster worry about those things. I'd be willing to bet there's some canvassing to do that might be worth more of your time.

Don't worry about Huck ...

Between the dog tortures and the end timers he will have enough people to get him on the ballot.

Do not assist the CFR machine. Paul Vs McCain is a clear choice

Ron Paul 2008, Join or Die!

DONT TREAD ON ME

AN APPEAL TO HEAVEN - WASHINGTON'S CRUISERS

I have a different view.

I am NOT a huck supporter...BUT I believe anyone who wants to run for an office should be allowed ballot access. Isn't that what Dr. Paul stands for? What right does ANYone have to deny people a choice? It's a tough one, but I don't think there's any choice.

It's not a tough choice at

It's not a tough choice at all. Just don't do it. Huck and his supporters worry about getting him on the ballot. We have bigger fish to fry.

No...

Now that there are only 3 left, we need to have as much time as possible with as many primary states left to polarize Ron Paul with John McCain.

We need to see the conservatvies slowly, and even if it's reluctantly, go to Ron Paul over the RINO McCain. This will take time to do, so Huck needs to go ASAP. The best way to accomplish the defeat of Huck, is for him to lose a few more states to McCain.

Hopefully, this will happen before the Feb 28th MSNBC debate. If so, it will be Ron vs. Juan McCain.

Hmmm....I wonder if MSNBC will cancel such a debate????

I beg to differ

the best way to be rid of Hick is for him to lose a few states to Ron Paul, not McCain.

They wont cancel it

It will be an one on one interview with the only remaining candidate John McCain.

I am having hard enough time here in Indiana trying to convince

Christians not to vote for Huck... I would like to see him NOT on the ballet

Absolutely yes

If he's still running then he needs to be on the ballot.

edited to add:

I'm more "spiritual" than religious, but right is right & truth is truth...

"Do unto others..."

That's a hard one ...

Huckabee would certainly take votes away from McCain ...

But then they'd show that pie graph on CNN with the red and pink slices marked McCain and Huckabee and a big grey slice on the top left with no name.

It would be just amazing to

It would be amazing to see a pie chart with just McCain and a grey slice on it!

Haaaahhh !

ROFLMAO.

I wouldn't put it past them though.

No it would not help.

It wouldn't help. I just read an article here:

Romney's Out! Ron Paul, Do We Have A Problem?

I agree with this article. One more person to drop out means one less person to worry about. Our chances are better with a one-on-one race with McCain. Huckabee stands in the way -- let him go I say! Less is better I think!

well...

I'd really like to see how Dr. Paul does one on one with McLame. If he could beat him like that what a boost to the campaign that would be.

If history tells us anything...

Yes, but the GOP doesn't

Yes, but the GOP doesn't control voters -- and they are what matters. Again, RP losing to McCain isn't a big deal for the Republican race because it's expected, but what is a big deal is if RP were to shock everyone and win about 40% of the left over states and collect a ton of delegates in the process. McCain may be the winner, but it would look VERY BAD and show horrible support for the Republican party.

But even if he lost, and

But even if he lost, and Mcain sealed the deal, who cares? And wouldn't that be demoralizing if RP ended up with a ton delegates to make it a close race? As long as he got exposure, then maybe a 3rd party run could use that momentum and carry onward. But right now, he needs to show something to America, and it's harder to do with with more people in the race.

What would the purpose of

What would the purpose of doing this be?

I guess more the candidates

I guess more the candidates better are the chances for a brokered convention. However, now that I think about it, it would be great if there were only McCain and Dr. Ron "Nobody" Paul on the ballot. MSM could possibly have a problem explaining this to voters. It would probably lead to total media suppression and low turnout of braindead voters.
