The attraction of Paul/GOP is the tension between the two. USE the tension to advantage! HIGHLIGHT the differences. This will help put a label on the good Dr. that he can use to gain support. Highlighting differences is how products are sold.....

Some of you in here may be like me in that you would consider Obama as an acceptable choice for the presidency...please people, don't "he's CFR!! how could you do that?" Also, don't call me a troll. I've donated at least 5 times to RP's campaign. Notice that I said "acceptable" and not "clearly the best choice."

That said, as much as I'd consider Barack Obama and root for him against Hillary, I almost want to to lose IF and only IF RP considers a 3rd party run.

Think about it for a second. Two polarizing candidates that their own parties dislike (Mc more than Hillary).

We not only get some Obama votes, we get the conservative vote (hopefully), the Christian vote (if we ever tap into it), plus the Consitution/Libertarian parties. As much as I'd like a brokered GOP convention, this seems like our best chance.

GOP, Democrat, third-party, write-in, doesn't matter to me, I'm voting Ron Paul. I'd rather get waterboarded with boiling water than vote for any of these other traitors to the Constitution.

The GOP candidate selection process is far from over. Chill on that third party BS until Dr. Paul drops the campaign. It's now down to 3 in the GOP, and RP's chances of becoming the nominee get better every day. I'm a precinct delegate to the County GOP convention, I am committed to becoming a delegate to the State convention, and then I'll see if I can get to the national convention in MN. There's plenty of time left on the clock, so why all the panic? You impatient people sitting at your keyboards all day need to get outside and get some air. Stop taking energy away from the folks that are actually engaged in the mission of getting our guy the GOP nomination.

Democracy is two CFRs and one Libertarian voting for the next President of the United States. Liberty is an astute politician armed with the facts to challenge the course our country is taking.

as its a whole new ball game - if we take the donations he has received so far and DOUBLE THAT as we all donate again then he will have a pretty good amount of money and NEW VOTERS will donate to him...
we are already picking up Romney supporters and his message will continue to spread and get even more donors...

as soon as my delegate responcibilities are over i'm an independant. you are right.. the GOP would run their own people against Ron Paul in texas every election... the Gop has been infiltrated threw many years with socialist/democrats calling themselves republicans.. the perfect example is the monkey in the white house!

Ron said he *will run third party if the people speak* so let us speak.
He really DOES have a chance as third party with all the hatred within the parties right now i.e. obama vs hillary, mccain vs romney, etc...
both parties have totally disgusted people enrolled who will turn to paul if given the chance....
BUT EVEN IF HE CANT WIN THIRD PARTY at least until November he can continue to get his message out. In fact if getting his message out *is* his primary importance as he has stated before, then he must go for it...
For those who say even less media coverage - how can you get less than zero which is what he gets now - only the internet is keep the message alive the rest of the news media has TOTALLY excluded him now...

It is a no-brainer to go third party - that really WILL GENERATE SOME NEWS... the whole nation will be talking RON PAUL

And he dropped out, then came back in. That my friends is a HUGE percentage. The final day Dr. Paul can recieve the Libertarian nod would be the day they nominate their candidate at their national convention this summer. Time is ticking.

I know it is tempting to jump and maybe your right. We know what ever we do it will be a challenge. The main thing is to continue to make people aware of Dr. Paul's message at this point it make be good to cause the GOP heartburn.

They sure in the heck haven't been his friend. If they were friendly, then they should have insisted that RON PAUL be given 'equal time' compared to the other Republican Candidates.

They should have pulled in and read the riot act to those other Republican Candidates smiling and poking fun at RON PAUL (you surely remember him responding to ROMNEY with 'Make Fun, Buddy') -- the GOP leadership should not have tolerated this biased treatment of this fine gentleman. But they apparently did nothing to change this behavior because it continues.

And not only that -- the man's a longtime respected U.S. Congressman for goodness sake // that alone should have demanded a higher degree of respect that what anyone (I'm including the MSM) have been dishing out when in comes to RON PAUL.

They've not only insulted the man they have insulted the position.

They're wrong and he's right -- And that's just the way it is.

from the MSM, but thank you for telling me that I did. A 3rd party run has already been ruled out and put to rest. There's nothing to be gained in trying to revive this subject, other than to redirect the focus of RP supporters.

A third party is not viable - talk about a black out with Ron Paul now - you ain't seen nothing yet with a third party run.

To be warm, welcoming and full of borderline Ron Paul supporters who are just disinformed.

Make friends with your local GOP, attend their events, bring your family, and talk about the constitution as it pertains to illegal war, money and bad legislation against everything unconstitutional.

They will listen and understand the truth. I have already converted 5 or 6 GOP people by doing this.

Me and my friend got some Huck supporters to vote him in at caucus just by showing up at their house the night before and spending time talking about liberty and sound money and why Ron Paul is the only Candidate that can beat Hillary.

A real gentleman in the political arena, with the US Constitution as his guidebook.............I won't vote for a Republican ever again! They are rotten to the core. In fact, I'd love to see the GOP buried! So are the Democrats...........maybe the real cry from the wilderness is for an honest Party! That's what Lou Dobbs says! Maybe he's right.

I've been loudly against a third party run on this board and others... not because of the idea itself, but the timing. Last night on Ron's conference call, he mentioned, and I'm badly paraphrasing, "If we can't get the message out this way, then we will need to find another way." I'm getting to the point that I'm so put off with the GOP's handling of Paul so far that I'm actually starting to hope for a third party run.. it'd have to be all about timing tho.

On the other hand, it may just be me wanting it because it would mortally wound the GOP, probably end it.. and I'm feeling a little pissed at them right now.

This race first, however. It makes more sense.

If Ron goes 3rd party, then I'll consider... but at the moment, RP is GOP.

If you are trying to convince Ron to go Third Party, I'm sure he doesn't read this website.
