I just saw Ron Paul give a speech at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA (Friday, Feb 8)

He was invited to speak at Liberty and was able to do so this morning. So far McInsane, Huckleberry, and I think one other Republican have spoken at Liberty this election season. Jerry Falwell Jr. said that Ron was the fourth. The event was called a convocation and was a mandatory meeting for the students to attend, but was also open to the general public. It started out at 10 AM with about 10 minutes of Christian rock music, then some administrator spoke about school events like sports and clubs a little bit. By about 20 after, the administrator intorduced Jerry Jr. Jerry spoke about his attendance at the CPAC event and how Ron had joined the Liberty University hospitality event the evening before. He even shared a story with us that my meetup group was aware of and was also concerned with. There was possibly going to be a house vote this morning that Ron felt was important enough to cancel the speaking opportunity and go to DC and vote. For good or for bad, the vote did not take place this morning, so Ron came to the university. Jerry was very supportive of Ron.

By 10:30 Ron took the stage and deliverred a condensed version of his CPAC speech. It was generally well received, although I could tell that many of the students were there because they had to be, not because they wanted to be. so applause was somewhat reserved from them. But the supporters were loud and proud.

My meetup group did a great job of coverring all of the entrances to a large basketball stadium which I believe seats at least 3000 people. They handed out literature and there were supporters all over the place. I saw lots of signs big and small. And some dastardly defilers plasterred Ron Paul banners and signs all over the city earlier this morning, clearly against city statutes! Those rebels ;)

Overall, I feel it was a positive event, and I was happy to have had a second opportunity in my lifetime to see Ron in person. I love this guy!

See ya.

I truely love every word that comes out of that mans mouth.

It might seem bland to some. But to me every word is so rich in the soundness of liberty. There is no way to do this man justice in a 2 min debate question. When I hear him talk for 1 or 2 hours my blood boils. Every time he says the words Liberty, Constitution, Freedom, sound money, Forefathers, Individual Rights, and Personal Responsablity I get goosebumps. I can feel my forefathers blood raise up in my vains. The hairs stand on end on my neck and arms. I feel a sense of drive that I have only felt once in my life. This man will go down in history without a doubt. It is like watching Thomas Jefferson in person. Its like getting to walk up and shake abraham Lincoln's hand. This guy doesn't even need a party he should just be able to run cause he is him. They should just say this is Ron Paul running for the American people's ticket the end. I can't even understand how any red blooded American can hear him speak and not lose any appetite for any other politician. He is a gift from God for sure. If people can watch that speach and not vote for him then we have forgotten what being an American is and America is already lost. This man will forever be in the same league as the Founding Fathers of this nation forever. Whether he wins the presidency or not. He will lead millions into the light of Liberty from this generation on. He's not Jesus Christ but his words will comfort me until he gets here.

I watched all 4 parts, and I could see the LIGHT coming on

in the minds of many in the room, especially when Dr. Paul brought up the Nat'l I.D. card being implemented May 1st.

I truly believe that many christians got SHOCKED at that statement, b/c many feel that the I.D. card could be the 'mark of the beast'.

I bet Jerry Jr. even had an ' Ah-Ha" moment....and proboly is wanting to take a second look at the good Doctor.

Thanks for posting the link.

Link to video if you need a Dr. Paul fix

Great work!

Continue to spread the good news!

Watching the video that was

Watching the video that was the 1st time I have heard Dr. Paul say he accepted Christ. He needs to work that in more often. Not to the extent that Huckelberry does.

I am sure that he tailors his speeches.........

just a little bit when he is addressing specialized groups such as this. He did stress his early experience with abortion and his Christian upbringing more than I had seen in otehr more general speeches. But he also did this in the family values debates (I do not recall exactly what the event was called, but many of you know what event I am referring to).
