JUST GOT A ROMNEY LETTER SAYING SUPPORT MCCAIN....
I have been on Mitts website promoting Ron Paul and asking them to throw their votes to Paul (just so you folks dont start screaming troll as usual) and a few minutes ago I got an email basically asking Romney supporters to vote McCain...
he goes on to state why he supports McCain.... this does not look good for Paul...

CFR
uh.....
wow
Romney is a freakin' idiot. I guess people who are puppets don't deserve to be running our country. I'm just amazed how he is willing to label himself as a tard just so that McCain is elected? I think alot of Romney's voters are gonna see they are going to flip flop on the issues and if they said they are true conservative and pointed to McCain's liberal crap, then they should support a real conservative. A Vote for McCain is a vote for Hillary I always say. Vote Ron Paul people! Former Romney supporters, try to get them to do the right thing and join our campaign, join the r3Vo_Iution!!!!
romney supporters will have to think long and hard
about voting for a democrat. Otherwise, they'd already be McCain supporters.
Imagine
my surprise.
Too bad
you can reply to all on that email and tell them why you won't support McCain and that you will be supporting Ron Paul.
Did
it come with a postage paid envelope? If so make em pay, send it filled with something heavy and worthless:)
Sed back with a slm jim

Not so fast--here's the text
Here's the text of the one I received. If it is different, then let me know, but it did not endorse McCain at all--just simply stated that there was one issue he agrees on and that was the basis for his decision to suspend his candidacy. If this is the same letter you received, then please tone back your title so as not to create more hysteria than necessary.
Text of letter follows:
----------------------------------------
Dear Friend:
If you have not heard by now, I have decided to suspend my campaign for president. This was not an easy decision for me, and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support from the beginning to the point where we are today. We’ve come such a long way, and our hard work together will leave an imprint on the course of history.
As I addressed the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) yesterday in Washington, D.C., I outlined what I know is the right course ahead for our nation – a course based on conservative principles such as individual responsibility, strong faith and values, economic strength with lower taxes and a national defense that will not retreat from the threat of evil extremism.
I disagree with Senator McCain on a number of issues, as you know. But I agree with him on doing whatever it takes to be successful in Iraq, on finding and executing Osama bin Laden, and on eliminating Al Qaeda and terror. If I fight on in my campaign, all the way to the convention, I would forestall the launch of a national campaign and make it more likely that Senator Clinton or Obama would win. And in this time of war, I simply cannot let my campaign be a part of aiding surrender to terror.
This is not an easy decision for me. I hate to lose. My family, my friends and, you, our supporters, have given a great deal to get me where I have a shot at becoming President. If this were only about me, I would go on. But I entered this race because I love America, and because I love America, I feel I must now stand aside, for our party and for our country.
You can be sure I will continue to stand for conservative principles. I will fight alongside you for all the things we believe in. And one of those things is that we cannot allow the next President of the United States to retreat in the face evil extremism.
It is the common task of each generation – and the burden of liberty – to preserve this country, expand its freedoms and renew its spirit so that its noble past is prologue to its glorious future.
Please stand proud today that you fought for a cause greater than yourself, and please continue to fight to preserve our ideals.
Thank you again so very much.

You mean, Romney supporters
are not allowed to make their own decisions? I don't think so. Any person in his right mind will think, reason, and reconsider what's best for our country. Only RP can deliver that.

Good arguments - in this case I shall defer and say okay, maybe his supporters wont follow his clarion call... I certainly hope so!
thanks for the alert... now keep pushing!
We can't control what anyone else does. We can only control what we do. The right thing to do is continue lobbying them to vote for Ron.
Mitt has failed to show leadership, here. Voting for McCain = going the wrong way.

At our caucus, I spoke with a Romney supporter and he told me that if Mitt were to drop out, his vote would actually go to Dr. Paul. He said there was no way in good conscience he could support McCain.
Here are my thoughts on this
I think judging by some of the Romney supporters who have come here over the past day or so, they are not happy with what he did. They are disappointed in him for suspending his campaign and I believe they have lost all faith and trust in him. I'm not so sure that all of them are going to go support McCain just because he asks them to.
I've read several things where Romney supporters have stated that they hate McCain. They say they don't mind Ron Paul, he just never was their first choice.
If McCain was such a great candidate in the first place, Mitt wouldn't have been coming in a close second so many times with huge numbers of votes. Don't be so quick to think that they will all want to now support McCain.
Now McCain's true liberal side will come out. One that most Romney supporters are not going to like, no matter how much they try and do so.
Did you watch his CPAC speech? How many times did he say that he swayed from being a conservative, he's made mistakes, he knows many don't agree with him on issues.. but.. he has "respect" for their opinion for disagreeing with him.
Sounded to me like a liberal trying to make people believe they are conservative. That's all I came away with after watching him. Mistakes, change of heart, misguided, etc. He didn't tell me why he's best for this country, he told me that he wants me to see him as a conservative and that's it. You can't sell me a turd and make me think it's gold, sorry, not gonna happen.
Some things are not negotiable
I have zero "respect" for John McCain and his buddy Sam Brownback taking away my right to say hello to anyone I want to online. There are some things that are not negotiable and where civility is only a tactic.
I Agree !
A new site is underway to hinder, stop, disrupt, terminate, make lots of noise to keep McCain from being nominated.

Conservative Mormons are NOT going to vote for the Pro-Amnesty, Pro-Choice Liberal, John McCain.
Romney can say all he wants, but when McCain is exposed for who he really is, Romney supporters will shift to Ron Paul or Mike Huckabee....two candidates that are pro-life & anti-illegal immigration.
