This country needs an armed freedom march

It could begin as the 2nd Amendment Militia Brigade and would become the 2nd Amendment Army.

Ron Paul's method! Civil Disobedience first. If that yields no response after a long time, then we go with a show of force. "We can achieve much more with peace than with use of force". Intimidation by carrying weapons is force. I'm not a peacenick and I am all for carrying guns, but we need to be careful of propanda.

I also agree that if it is too soon, either with or without guns, the media will portray us as kooks with passion towards the wrong ideals. They have so much control - and look at what happened in Seattle, some thugs paid-off by the police started breaking windows and smashing things and the next thing you know hundreds of innocent nonviolent protesters are shoved into a makeshift prison. They can make it look like however they want. Now, unless this protest is huge, and I'm talking hundreds of thousands of people, it won't work.

I can reserve the right to shoot the first person that tells me that the government is behind using lead in bullets. Lead enters your brain and fuses your neurons together short circuiting you brain. So then they can label all gun owners are crazy people and remove their right to own guns

as long as you are not in D.C. There is a reason they banned weapons there. Would not want any civilians having weapons near the govermental locations.

We need to remember that this would NOT be doing anything wrong. We've been conditioned to feel like naughty children for even suggesting employing our rights. When the time is right, I'm in.

As long as it is not tied in any way to the Ron Paul campaign. It could be a pro-second ammendment and right to free assembly rally, therefore drawing more people and support. The country needs to be reminded somehow that the second ammendment is not designed for Mike Huckabee to go quail hunting in Iowa or so Dick Cheney can shoot his buddy, it is designed so that citizens will be able to protect themselves from tyrants.

Besides, if they knew something like this with thousands armed (and they would), they would more than likely see it as an act of aggression and be prepared for it, believe me. There would be check points along all points of entry (POE) to the city of the march, recon teams searching areas of abnormal POE (such as woodlines), armed helicopter flyovers, drones, and you would be disarmed one way or another BEFORE you could even reach the city. Around the city perimeter there would probably be Humvee's with 50cal. mounted on top, Delta Force, and the whole nine yards. Not to mention about three battalions of infantry.

good for maybe media attention to label us violent men and the police would be coming out with swat. DC is anti guns regardless if your a criminal or not. I believe they might if they do a pre inspection before the march, checking every person for ammo and or the condition of the weapon. If its possible it would be a first I would see.

marching with Pitchforks would send the same message without risking people's lives. A large group of people carrying AR15's would be gauranteed a confrontation with Armed National Gaurdsmen.

I believe that it is still LEGAL to carry a rifle or shotgun in public as long as it is not loaded... in most places that I know of anyway.

Passengers are allowed to check their guns when they fly...unloaded of course in a specific gun carrier. Hunters do it all the time. They even check their ammo.

You know that sounds good in theory, but knowing the ruling class, they would just incite the violence, and then blame any retaliation of the Ron Paul supporters to demonize them.
