Three Contests, Tuesday 2/12
Three states are holding their primaries on Tuesday, Feb 12: Maryland, Virginia, and Washington DC. Please do your part! If you live in any of those localities, please vote and bring as many Ron Paul supporters along as you can. If you don't live there, you can still donate and also sign up to be a precinct leader. You know where to go: www.RonPaul2008.com

CNN.....
"leading the only other Republican candidate in the race, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee"
WOW.....
and NPR...
NPR made a very clear statement just like that in their election coverage tonight. Your tax dollars at work.
C-SPAN this morning
They had three lines -- one for each candidate. They will likely do this on voting days from now on. What galled me was some were calling and talking about how they would vote Paul or Huckabee or McCain but none of them were conservative enough so to send a message, they might vote Hillary in the general. I'm thinking, what??? Even the host was fed up with people saying Hillary who had called in on a REPUBLICAN LINE.
But you do have a chance to call and say he's the only real conservative left in the race! Those of you who are in states yet to vote, please try to do this on voting day.
Help out theres like only one day!

Weather Conditions - Metro Area - Bad
4:30 PM EST - The evening rush-hour is a hell for those around the 495 Beltway right now. VDOT has stopped traffic for a 20 car bumper-to-bumper accidents. The VDOT spokeperson on the WTOP news radio station said there is not one area around the beltway that is not affected by the sleeting conditions. I am hoping that all the RON PAUL voters already voted and that this will keep others away. It is almost 6PM now and sleet is still coming down in the Northern Virginia area. I consider this a HUGE break for RP folks. Like Washington crossing the Delaware, there is no ice storm that is going to stop Ron Paul!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I voted at 6AM not a sole around. My husband voted at 8:30AM and said he was the only Republican.
Fairfax County
Just got done voting:
1. Ron Paul was no. 1 on the touchscreen "?WINvote?" machine. Its one touch then confirms with smaller font the correct choice. I'm pretty good with computers and can honestly say I'm not impressed with the security of the system. I didn't bother giving the old lady there a hard time about not getting any kind of paper receipt.
2. There were two stacks of vote cards, Red and Blue, and I'd say only 10% of the blue cards were still left on the table so I feel a little better that my republican vote for Dr. Paul went a long way.
3. When I got home I read the lead article in the Washington Post about todays election and NOT A SINGLE MENTION OF RON PAUL'S NAME!!!! Then I got my med school tuition statement....almost enough to make me vomit and pass out.
ps. For all those interested in healthcare issues, there looks like a new AMA "Covering the Uninsured" ad program right now and I'm pleasantly surprised to read initially that they ARE NOT SUPPORTING A CONTIUNATION OF EMPLOYER-BASED HEALTH INSURANCE TAX CREDITS. As far as I know this is in line with Dr. Paul's Health Freedom platform. I for one will NEVER accept a job as a physician working for a national healthcare system and every physician I've spoken with from European thinks their systems are horrific.
When is the earliest
we will hear results?
Do they use diebold ?
Do they use diebold ?
At my location
we used the diebold machines. And of course I asked them if there was any confirmation that my vote was correctly tabulated. The lady said, oh yes, the last screen asked you to confirm your choice. I said, NO, I mean on paper! We all know the answer to that is NO!!
Va. Fairfax, Kerby
I was delighted to hear so many people striking up a wide variety of conversations while waiting in line. Normally, people are stone cold silent. This time, we talked about the absurdity of choosing between two evils, paperless touch-screen machines, what "change" would really be... and so forth. People ARE waking up and turning on like never before.
And I had a blast ribbing the poll workers who where surprisingly well humored about the voting 'system' they had to deal with. Several of them clearly knew it stinks.
Hang Ten, Dr. Wingnut! It's going to be a fantastic ride. (loving, double-reference for surfers... : )
RON PAUL was first and on top of ballot in No Virginia
Just voted for Ron Paul in North Springfield VA and he was listed first and at the top of the ballot. That was a shock to see that lineup. I was sure he'd be at the bottom or maybe not even on the darn ballot but a pleasant surprise. Somebody likes us.
Question is, now like Devvy Kidd says, is this electronic voting machine (diebold?) with the push screen properly counting my vote? It better.
I hope we get a big turnout in Va and Md for him.
It was cool to see his name
It was cool to see his name in the number spot!!!!!!!!
He won the coin toss
Or whatever it was a few months back that determined order of nominees listed on the ballot.
I voted in VA
I voted in Va just a few minutes ago and there were only signs for Paul, Hillary and Huckabee. The Paul sign was the largest and was in the ditch. Sooooooo, being the faithful Paulite that I am, I stopped and fiddled with it for a few minutes til it was standing proudly again! And it was 4 times larger than the other ones!! :)
Thanks for looking out for Dr. RP
Awesome job!!
You ...
... did good! :)))
I Voted in DC
Voted earlier in DC! No one was really outside except hillary signs and a little table with 1 obama lady. Can't wait for the results tonight.
I voted for Ron Paul in Virginia
The only signs outside of the polling place were for Ron Paul:-)
Let's give old Abe Lincoln a birthday present
Seeing as how today is Abraham Lincoln's birthday and seeing as how Abe came into a brokered convention as the underdog and stole the show, wouldn't it be nice if we could ruffle some feathers down in the MD/VA/DC primaries today?
See you on the battle lines!
"MARCH RON PAUL TO WASHINGTON"
Hey People, check out the latest update. Ron Paul is calling for all troops to report. Everyone check in at the Ron Paul site and spread the word. We're working on a date for Washington D.C.. We might want to consider having it before the mandatory I.Ds for flights goes into effect. Maybe the day before, sometime in May of this year. Spread the word!
SIGN WAVING is now more EFFECTIVE than EVER BEFORE!!!
Frist, I believe that this type of work is the most important.
http://www.dailypaul.com/...
BUT, for more general Ron Paul supporters, let me tell you that SIGN WAVING is now more EFFECTIVE then EVER BEFORE!!!
WHY? Because thanks to the old media most people think Ron Paul is out. This gave us THE BEST CHANCE EVER to MAKE A CONTRAST.
Organize huge SIGN WAVING everywhere. People will think WTF? Why are they still waving signs? Isn't he out? No? Why is media treat as if RP is out? WTF?
OR, you can accept the old media propaganda and chose NOT to wave signs. That should really help the old media propaganda.
Go Hardcore..
We waved signs in Bill Clinton face.... and at the exact same time we were out dropping literature door to door (since 5am). Push it baby...! Video of Bill getting an eye full of Ron Paul Blue signage...

No More Constitutional Lip Service. They can blabber and steal Ron Paul's talking points... but they can't stand on them..!
AWESOME!
GREAT JOB! KEEP UP!
RON PAUL WILL WIN!!!
Maryland Eastern Shore Voting
Just voted on Maryland's Eastern Shore and saw some RP signs and none for the other guys. Remember to vote for the delegates and not just for the straw poll.
LET THE REVOLUTION CONTINUE!!!!!!
Just Voted in MD D7
Lite turn out in the morning, hope everyone besides RP supports stay home. Heavy turn out expected in District 1 due to a house seat battle. Bad weather predicted later in the day. Only saw RP signs no McCain or Huck. The delegates on the ballot had who they are committed so not sure if we'll get to many unless we poll higher than the rest or people skip the section.
One vote small vote for Ron Paul. One giant step for Freedom.
My Brother's voting for
My Brother's voting for Paul. ron Paul was his favorite but didn't think he could be McCain and was going to support Romney, but now that Romney's out he's been pushing Ron Paul. He's in district 7.

Bill Clinton Rally - Sign Wave-O-Rama In His Face
Bill came to stump for Hillary.... here's a fun little video. Notice that besides the Hillary fans in large numbers... there were ZERO supporters for Obama, McCain or Huckabee... there's a good laugh hidden all the way at the very end...

Atleast brokered convention
Atleast brokered convention was mentioned in the article.
Okay I gotta say it...but
Okay I gotta say it...but JUST for Virginia...
GO HUCK!
I don't want insane McCAIN to win Virginia's delegates.
The old media is giving the state to insane, just like they gave him Kansas.
The old media is in a catch 22...they have to leave huck in because they don't want to give Ron Paul 6 months to make his case.
By leaving Huck in, he may very well force a BC

State Delegates Awards
Can we get a true state by state delegate number. Also the states left and how they award delegates. Winner take all or by congressional district. There are some confusing info out there. Is Texas winner take all only if winner gets majority of vote? Seems like every place i check gives different info. CNN needs some help.

the thing about signs...
keep putting them up -
just know that you will always see more RP signs -
because we are totally behind our man and his message.
The others don't get behind a message (they are hard to find)
some people put both Dems in their yards - because they
don't care who wins they just want to vote for a party.
Most of all - keep canvassing and telling folks about RP
and donate - upcoming Presidents Day and again Mar. 4
what an opportunity to give outrageously!
what better cause....?
And PLEASE, Bumper stickers!
There are just way too many Ron Paul supporters with no bumper stickers. I know signs are not enough, but they help to encourage each other.

three states
It grieves me very much to see one of our own calling D. C. a state.
It was probably
an honest mistake. Remember, a LOT of RP supporters are new to politics.
Actually, I'm rather uninformed....why does DC even have a Primary?
territory
All major territories have a primary, Guam, Puerto Rico, etc.
DC is a territory by some definitions though its citizens enjoy mainland rights and responsibilities.
bowie, md
my 14 year old brother is outside right now in the cold putting up his own huge homemade sign outside the neighborhood. Its an intersection where many cars pass... he has been working on this sign this past month every chance he got when he got back from school and completed his homework... i wish i was there in my hometown to help him but I'm out of state for college :( - but he told me that everyone in his school pretty much supports Obama (of course a very democratic county) but he is trying to get "surrogate" (haha) voters for him tomorrow - trying to get all our aunts, uncles, cousins to vote for ron paul (though many at first supported Huckabee because they are born again Christians) but he and I have been calling and working on them. So if you are from bowie I hope you get to see the sign he worked so hard on.
great job....BRAVO to your son!
tell your son A BIG THANK YOU for all of his hard work and passion.
Virginia will be tough...
As half of the counties are currently ON FIRE!
100's of wildfires...
http://www.cnn.com/2008/U...
TOUGH?!?!? How?
I think it would make it easier to win there. Fires, storms, tornados, blizzards, avalanches, natural disasters of all types will keep most "normal" people from worrying about a presidential primary, especially one that's "wrapped up," but our people would brave nuclear fallout to vote for Dr. Paul.
History
History has shown that people who have been tortured seek power and that giving it to them is a really BAD idea. Can we take that risk?
Veterans Disarmament Act
McCain should not even be allowed to run because of this. He should be diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). They wouldn't let Vets own a gun if they are diagnosed with PTSD...and he wants to control the largest nuke arsenal in the world?
Really...
That's a fascinating point. Do you have any evidence to site?
hmm...
How dare you ask me to back up my propagandistic meme with facts!
ok, it is more of a personal opinion formed from the knowledge that Al swari and his mentor were tortured by Egypt. And the knowledge that Hitler had a very abusive step father (not exactly the same I know)
Of course now that you ask for facts, I had to do some quick research and well didn't find much more than that. So Sorry, My previous statement was actually more of an opinion or impression.
Hey, Didn't
someone speaking for Huckabee at a caucus supposedly go on and on about how Huckabee was beaten by his Father when he was a kid? Do we see a pattern here?
My intuition says you're right
If that's any consolation.
I know people who labor under such a sense of injustice that they wish for an authoritarian government to make things right. Usually, they got no justice at home and wish for it from the wrong places. (They sometimes also wish for an authoritarian God.)
The problem is, government is not very good at dealing it out, and even if it is for a while, the next thing you know, it's part of the problem.
My parents were very fair and reasonable; they listened to "my side of the story." I want justice, too, but the need is not as selfish.
