Ron Paul says we should have a march in Washington!

It MUST be a time when children can attend. Families are larger numbers so please choose a date that works for kids and college students.

Maybe we should march on a Monday. I'm willing to wager that more people watch the evening news on a Monday than on a Saturday.

You would just be part of another huge crowd thats there to see it.

How about something like May 3?

Feb and March are too soon. April on has 1 primary. May 6 to June 3 has like 10 primary/caucuses.

East West and Central. Its the only way people can aford to go. It takes to long to make the trip across country unless you fly. The cost of flying is to high for most people also alot of our people won't give up biometrics to get a passport. I know I won't!

Wouldn't it be best to go NOT on a holiday, but when no other large numbers of people would be there? The more I think of it, the less I think either Memorial Day or July 4th are good ideas. How about a weekend before or after those holidays? Why confuse our presence with a national holiday? After all, I don't think other similar large marches were held on holidays, probably with good reason.

Memorial day there is always alot going on in Dc on memorial day. Also don't want to upset the Vet's. It could have blowback and we don't want to disrespect them. That is a day to remember all fallen soldiers not just the guys in Iraq.

Seriously - Do you know how many DAYS it will take from California, Oregon, Washington and other Western States just to get there?

People would have to take the entire week off from work to get there and back :(

East Coasters can all drive up / down (~5 hrs from NYC).
Even then, people north of Boston would need to make it 2 days each way.

I can't imagine this working for people west of the Mississippi though.

The capital meetup lets everyone know where donations stand and what cost is. We all register with the capital meetup so they can get a count on everyone. We all drive to the capital which should be Eastern central part of the state so everyone is moving towards DC to catch their buss.

PS we should make the deal with grayhound for all the states. They will probably cut a pretty good deal for that big of an order.

I think our meetup groups should reserve Greyhound buses from all major cities to make it easier. Group discounts make people happy.

I have been hoping for something like this.

We don't even litter. We let the world see that we are just good old american folk that want our country to honor it's law's (Constitution). We have a good old march. Then have a picinic while hearing some tunes. We meet all the Ron Paul people we can. We share stories and feed off each others energy then we clean up our own little mess and go home. Everything we do we do in peace. No fighting no getting mad. Anything that disturbs us we just roll with the punches and go the other way. Sounds fun to be part of the first ever RP Republicans National March. This will make history trust me.

July 4th!!!!

We are going marching. Where are those drummer boys. Sounds great. The meetups can start raising funds for transportation and hotels. We can do this through the meetups.

Question: Will the semi-quasi-fascist police state even allow such marches anymore? Or will we all be "domestic terrorists"? Which would be worth doing for that sake anyway, but still, just wondering if anyone knows.

We need to start to make this happen. People need to watch this video. We need to start figuring out when and how we are going to do this.

As a side note, (joking, well, kind of) can we chop down all the cherry trees in Washington while we are there?
