Like a tsunami, I would like to see the train of cars, trucks , vans, motorcycles begin on the west coast and pick up volume all the way to DC. It will be a major news event as the Freedom Wave grows and grows and grows all the way to DC. We can organize routes and staging points that will bring all of us together the day before the rally. I have a dream. This rally will include all freedom lovers not just Paul supporters but republicans, democrats, independents and Americans of all races and creeds. We will share with them what Dr. Paul has reminded us of. Our love of Liberty.

Then they will force the so called news outlets to cover it when entertainment tonight covers it. People like John Mayer, eminem, country stars hip hop from all genre's. Or broadcast live and pay for the coverage with a specific money bomb. I am so pumped for this.

and make more of a statement to have Ron Paul there, and have more of a huge rally and not so much of a march? I have never been to either so I don't know, I just keep hearing how DC is the most difficult place to have large numbers of people march.

I want to see my President standing on the steps of the Capitol with bullhorn in hand and say...

Appears those who oppose the SPP NAFTA are gearing iup to protest in New Orleans April 21 & 22.

I was just thinking that a lot of these Wash DC marches usually involve east coast folks due to its location in the country. Given the typical donation of $100, I doubt people from say CA, WA, NV, etc are going to pay for a $500 ticket to fly out to march on Wash DC.

However the Republican convention is in Minneapolis...the middle of the country. Would it not make more sense to go there instead?

I remember last summer when there were organized ant-war marches all over the country in the major cities and DC. The media pretty much ignored it and it was only a small story buried in the newspapers that did run it.

Don't get me wrong, I am all for this, 100%!! I'll even be there, but if you think this will get major coverage, we will probably be mistaken. I'm just giving a reality check here.

I'm there, no matter when. I suggest April-June some time. March or Feb is too soon.

I know there was lots of talk about throwing a big music festival for freedom and to spread dr. pauls message. We have tons of bands and commedians that we know of that support the good dr. and whatever day this march happens, would be the perfect day to try to start planning this event for. 1) It would sure make quite a statement to be able to pull of a march and festival over a weekend in washington. and 2) this would absolutely motivate the planners to get planning and a great reason for more attendees to show up. Could increase our numbers ten-fold.

BUT, for more general Ron Paul supporters, let me tell you that SIGN WAVING is now more EFFECTIVE then EVER BEFORE!!!

WHY? Because thanks to the old media most people think Ron Paul is out. This gave us THE BEST CHANCE EVER to MAKE A CONTRAST.

Organize huge SIGN WAVING everywhere. People will think WTF? Why are they still waving signs? Isn't he out? No? Why is media treat as if RP is out? WTF?

OR, you can accept the old media propaganda and chose NOT to wave signs. That should really help the old media propaganda.

The amount and whereabouts of the nations gold reserves - which are in question - goes to the heart of the problems in Washington and the nation ie the printing of money out of thin air, so this is the ideal weekend ie Sat April 19 to send a massive message to Congress while at the same time bringing attention to Anybody Seen our Gold and the finances of the country. It allows 2 months to plan and spring blossoms should be in the air.

Weather ought to be good---It's a Saturday so lots of people can make it----no other events scheduled on that date---school's out (for families to bring kids)....

a prolonged conflict against superior forces requires bringing in an "outside force". The red coats have the MSM in their pockets. The Paulites must invite an international press to cover our march on Washington. Its time to rename the "white house". In 1812 the red coats burned that building. In 2008 the Paulites want to disgrace and humiliate our king george. I'd imagine the French would enjoy that quite a little bit. OK minute men we've got alot of work to do to organize the march. In 1989 Chinese students did a massive mass hunger strike, its so humiliated the communist chinese, same folks who give king george permission to do his insane follies in Iraq (George III had the crabs and went quite insane), to such a degree that that government bans all discussion of that protest unto this day. Since college students are a large base for Ron Paul, it is crucial to help them get to the event in D.C. Trevor could use his web skills to make a sign up area and also do a money bomb.

He could coordinate travel plans for college students to get them to central locations where the donations pay for buses that can round-trip them to D.C.

Meetup groups could coordinate with Trevor or operate buses/trains/planes seperately.

I have extra vacation this year. I will be there.

Regardless, I'm ready for my first trip to the capitol, but shouldn't we wait until the election to see if Lord Bush declares martial law and suspends the election/Constitution? Then, Washington, D.C. will be the only place to be for a patriot.

I believe early April is too early. We need this to be planned far in advance. Pennsylvania...I get what you are saying, but just be thankful that you have that long to canvass and convince people. Think how this march might affect other delegates that go to the National convention. Believe me the Republican party knows they are in shambles...they WILL see the light.

I wonder if someone could setup a website with a commitment signup list. Maybe we could raise money for people who can't afford it. Others might be able contribute air miles for the cause etc.
I suggest sometime in the spring. Need lots of signs, slims, and Freedom to Fascism DVDs to hand out to folks.
