Ron Paul said it himself. We need a march on DC within a couple of months.

Tax season is not good cuz
Tax season is not good cuz people will be doing their taxes and not attend. Remember, not everyone is as dedicated as we are. We also need to choose a weekend when children can attend. I think memorial day would work best, it may cost a bit more, but we can save now and make arrangements early.
I like April 12 or 13 because...
people will be too busy finalizing their returns on the 15th.
plus it's a weekend.

Enough. you want to take over something we have not even had time to think about and your site and offer is not appealing at all. . We need something that appeals to people of all walks of life and is centered around the theme of of the constitution and the return to it. Let someone with experience move it forward and quit trying to be someone who just wants his 15 minutes of fame off such an important issue as our country.
Your rush to be the ONE who fills the need is premature when the first thing that needs to be done is a web site set up to vote on a date. Who the heck decided your date is the best one or most desirable? Or your choice of music is most desirable?
Give us a chance to have some input somewhere first before you go trying to pimp yourself off in every thread. Most people haven't even had a day or two to see the video of Ron.

I prefer a "freedom" or "liberty" march; I would not use Ron Paul or Revolution as these have negative conations to some. While Ron Paul planted the seed for me I believe that freedom and liberty is something desired by so many Americans, let's be careful to choose dates and names that are not polarizing.

that WE will give historical relevance to whatever date we chose. April 13th is probably too soon. August is bad because of the Olympics, May or June the best?
There's another date a little later in April that is significant, George Washington's first Inaugural Address, the very first public words spoken by a duly elected US president, where he says stuff like this:
"And since the preservation of the sacred fire of liberty, and the destiny of the Republican model of Government, are justly considered as deeply, perhaps as finally staked, on the experiment entrusted to the hands of the American people."

Great significance, but too soon.
Many people cannot just pick up and shuffle over to DC, particularly if they are on the other coast. They will need some time to save up some money, arrange for vacation and whatnot.
Don't worry too much about historical significance of the date. We will GIVE the date historical significance!

I AM on the other coast.
I am poor.
I would have to drive, sleep in my car, pay for gas on a credit card...and none of that matters.
All that matters is MARCH on WASHINGTON!!!!
So, that said. I appreciate the thought, but I REALLY think that we should use Theft Day to our advantage.
Remember, the earlier we make a stand the more states we make an impact on BEFORE they vote!!

But what about those who can't afford the time and expense to go to WDC?
Can we have alternative marches at State Capitols? I'd LOVE to be involved, but probably can't go to WDC. I would drive to our State Capitol, though.

You should try, really try to get there. I sit here thinking how hard it will be for me too, I would leave my wife home alone with a 4 year old, and she works 50 hour weeks. It has to be done though.

I do not have money for making it there. I am in Oregon. Because I don't have money does not mean I can't make it there. I can commit to making it there. I CAN get there. I will ride my bike if I have to. Regardless of the date, I will be there and so will many of my friends and family who have come to know Ron Paul.
It is not so difficult a world that we can't ALL make it there.
