On this date, the fifteenth day of April, in the year two thousand and eight. Tax Day.
You heard the Man... We March on Washington!
People of liberty, from all over the world. Please rise up. Go on strike this day. Do not go to work, do not go to school, do not stay in your house, reserve it for marching and peaceful education of our uninformed fellow citizens. Promote Ron Paul, promote freedom, and above all, let people know how the Federal Reserve and the IRS is destroying our nation.
Wear a plain white sash or armband to show our state of enslavement by perpetual debt.
Americans and our global friends are recommended to visit post offices or highly populated areas and hand out Republic Magazine's, Freedom to Fascism DVD's, Ron Paul DVDs, or other Ron Paul literature. Welcome those who are still asleep to join the revolution.
The strike, the march, and the moneybomb to abolish the Federal Reserve and the IRS.
Pass on the word and spread the videos. April 15 will stand as the
First official action of the Second American Revolution.
A March on Washington and a global March for Freedom will occur throughout the world!

April 19- 1st day of the Revolution
It's not just about taxes.
Its about soverignty, liberty, excessive taxation, freedom. All that that was represented on April 19, 1775.
We're trying to relate a message
We can expect minimal media coverage. We need a clear message that everyone relates to. April 19th is meaningless to most people. April 15th, now...

On more thing needs to be done on April 15, we all need to write a letter to the IRS asking them to show us WE THE PEOPLE the law or statute that requires anyone to file a 1040 return on their wages. I doesn't exist!

searching for truth, please go to http://www.losthorizons.c..., then buy and read Pete's book "Cracking the Code: The Fascinating Truth About Taxation in America". There you will learn that there IS a tax on "wages" and why you should want to file proper and legal returns.
Then ask Tom Cryer how much he'll be paying to satisfy the taxes he owes, despite 'winning' his case.
History of this date?
Does anyone know the history of this date. Why do we have until April 15th? I have a hunch but I want to know what the rest of you think. Post and I'll reply later.
Two lines of thought there..
Congress passed the Sixteenth Amendment to the Consitution, (well, they didn't really, but that's another story) which allows for the implementation of personal income tax, on February 3, 1913, and chose March 1 of the following year as the filing deadline. The deadline was changed to March 15 in 1918, and to April 15 in 1955. Moving back the date from the end of the tax year served two purposes -- it gave the IRS more time to handle the work and, more importantly, more time to hang on to your money before issuing you a refund.
As far as conspiracy theories go, there are several floating around the web based on the date.
April 15 is officially tax day, but it is also: Leonardo da Vinci's birthday, the day Abraham Lincoln died, the day General Electric was incorporated, the day the Titanic sank and the day that McDonald's served its first hamburger.
