On this date, the fifteenth day of April, in the year two thousand and eight. Tax Day.
You heard the Man... We March on Washington!
People of liberty, from all over the world. Please rise up. Go on strike this day. Do not go to work, do not go to school, do not stay in your house, reserve it for marching and peaceful education of our uninformed fellow citizens. Promote Ron Paul, promote freedom, and above all, let people know how the Federal Reserve and the IRS is destroying our nation.
Wear a plain white sash or armband to show our state of enslavement by perpetual debt.
Americans and our global friends are recommended to visit post offices or highly populated areas and hand out Republic Magazine's, Freedom to Fascism DVD's, Ron Paul DVDs, or other Ron Paul literature. Welcome those who are still asleep to join the revolution.
The strike, the march, and the moneybomb to abolish the Federal Reserve and the IRS.
Pass on the word and spread the videos. April 15 will stand as the
First official action of the Second American Revolution.
A March on Washington and a global March for Freedom will occur throughout the world!

ronpaulforpresident2008.com IS NOT THE OFFICIAL CAMPAIGN website. Acting as if it is ludicrous.Nor is it even obvious on their landing page they agree with you. Looking at it as a visitor I didn't see it.
There is no reason a decision has to be made on this before then end of February.
We can debate this for two weeks, begin to save money and rally the other groups who are our natural allies.
Given a little time and preparation we can get a large party in dc.
Contact all our natural allies, gun groups, the constitution party, right to life groups, etc, etc...
Why act like the LP and pretend we can do this alone with our coffee clutch? We need time to organize, and come to a decision on a date rationally.

This Date Is Not Set
A weekend date in DC is much better. Have you ever tried to book a room in DC during the week? I travel there about 8 times a year and it must be booked way in advance. However, the weekends have availability (except in the summer when school is out). I suggest April 19th, the start of the American Revolution instead.

somebody calling me a troll because I am trying to direct everybody to a date that is already set it BS! Everybody is running around trying to get a date picked out and a date is ALREADY set.

But this date must be debated and voted on. Taxday is not a good idea because it is on a weekday. The 19th is a better date because it is a Saturday. I would change your title and do not make claims of setting dates. Everyone is on edge nowadays.

Weekday is actually better for a large march
If you march on a weekend, you're simply not going to get as much attention. Weekday marches allow you to march up to the Capitol and let not only America, but our government know what we're all about. Also, if we think that the press won't ignore us, think again. They ignore lots of large events that don't fit their personal agenda. For example, the March for Life attracts around 100,000 or so people each year and it gets barely a mention in the news, while pro-abortion "gatherings" of a few thousand get covered as if it were a Beatles' reunion.
Why not a large march in DC, coordinated with small marches on state capitols and in major cities all on the same day/time? That way the local press picks it up and directs attention to the national march. Much harder to ignore.

This needs to be decided "TODAY" why? Isn't reasoned debate something we advocate?
Who are you to "decide" on when or how or why?

For god's sake folks... This March is a one shot deal. Don't go off half cocked with this kind of nonsense.

Too much flailing regarding the date for our march on D.C. I would love to see the date set as soon as possible, but I am realistic enough to understand we won't get a consensus...at least not today. Keep up the debate but don't claim to be the grand champion cat herder of 2008 just yet. The date has yet to be established and I would rather Dr. Paul choose the date for us after he considers our suggestions.
