RonPaulMarch.com says march is 06/07/08..likely supported by RP
The RP campaign is going to have to get involved in this rather quickly to decide the date. I like June 7th since the kids will be out of school and we can make a family trip to D.C.

Paul will set the date!
Will make a video for the march, any good songs I could use?

The March Date is Not Set
Saying that the date is already set just isn't true. Sure, some people are pushing a date in April, but many are also supporting one in June. It's not set until Dr. Paul and a bunch of other activists and artists agree to attend.
Personally, I vote for June. I'd make a family vacation out of it, and I could convince a bunch of others to come along. I think this is an awesome idea, and the time is ripe! The largest marches in history attracted around half a million people. With anti-war protesters, constitutionalists, libertarians, and others, I think we can make that happen.
I've been wondering what the next phase will be, and I'm convinced that this is it! We raised $6.4 million in one day, surely we can organize a march in DC. Let's make it happen. June 7th gets my vote!!!
April is to Early
We'll never get the numbers needed in that amount of time.

6/7/8
I just like how that date moves forward. If we had a lot more time I'd say March 4th (the only date that gives an order, and quite a fitting one I might add).

During the week is going to make it much more difficult for out-of-towners to come march, IMO.

stop trying to divert away from a date that is ALREADY set
The date is already set. Go to: http://www.ronpaulforpres...
The first banner is about this march and is ALREADY being publicized. Click on it and it will take you to: http://www.taxday08.com/
So many people are running around debating a date, voting on a date....the date is already set. GO SEE:
http://www.ronpaulforpres...
Different dates...posting about why one date is better than another only creates chaos and confusion. Ban together. Get organized.
Those people who can't make
Those people who can't make it, on whatever date, should hold marches in cities across the U.S. and the world.
what about...
Ok, so here are the real dilemmas: (I don't consider the date to be much of a problem once HQ gets behind one over another)
1. Some/many may not be able to make it to Washington D.C.
2. Fears abound that state capitol marches wouldn't be that effective as they would be small in number.
My solution? Simple.
Protest a small number of important areas so that everyone can make it to their closest event, but focus on getting the most people possible to D.C. first and foremost. I was originally going to say 5 or 6 areas would suffice, but then I thought of an even better idea. The Federal Reserve system has major branches in 12 areas... what better cities to showcase our angst (for those of you in area 5, it'd be better to go to D.C. [Board of Governors zone] than Richmond, obviously)?

Anyone else's thoughts on this? It provides a simple solution to the main two points above AND is symbolic of our monetary crisis, which I doubt many of Dr. Paul's backers would argue against.

Come on people...stop trying to divert everybody into different dates....ban together....get organized. Stop voting....or trying to persuade others to "like" your date better. The date is ALREADY set.
TinaBopper- you may be well intentioned, but your incistence on
April 15th is quite irritating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This march is not about what's convenient for you- it's about getting as many Americans as we can to participate, and April 15th just isn't the day.
Apparently you live fairly close to D.C., but a lot of us are on the west coast, and there is no way that most families, students, and working folk would be able to go there on that day.
The big advantage of having the march during summer vacation is that people will be much more likely to make the long trip back there if they can do some additional sight-seeing and don't have to rush home for school.
If Ron Paul picks a date other than April 15th, are you going to tell him "sorry, the date has already been set?"
So please, have some consideration for the western half of the U.S.and quit promoting April 15th !
Summer is best time
I think sometime in summer would get the most people there.
Yes families could make a vacation out of it.
I live in the other Washington, and would go if it were in summer.
