Mid April is PERFECT. This will be OUR day/weekend. Venues will be easy to secure, etc, etc, etc.

everyone who is worried about traffic and whether people are having
picnics etc.... this is what this kind of HUGE rally and Statement
is all about! It is taking over in a peaceful way...
to get attention of media and people - I don't think that the
MLK jr marches were so concerned with making sure the supporters
are comfy with convienient accomadations etc.. the ONLY thing
that obviously would need to be secured is the location w/ permits etc...
maybe we will have to walk 50 miles to get there....
I beleive the marchers of the sixties made sure there were there -
whatever it took. Not worried about provisions....
(once this is planned - I am sure no one will want to plan a picnic
around DC) this is Dr Paul's deal - calling the shots for a change....
and MSM and DC area will have to deal with it. He is going to go
through proper channels to find a location - it's ok - he knows what
he is doing. This is about the Freedom message and unity in great
number - one voice! One massive voice!

Many people have committments for Memorial Day Weekend as it's during the school year. Many many sports tournaments are planned for that weekend as well as family reunions etc. well in advance. I suggest they reconsider.

OMG memorial day in DC?!? Every year there's a motorcycle rally to DC on memorial day. I went about 15 years ago. Very emotional place to spent memorial day. If you know a stay-the-courser and you can get them to go. You should. I truely believe that if you spend a few minutes walking the memorial and read a few of the thousands of names listed there you cannot be for war, any war. Even now as I write this out i'm overwhelmed with teh feeling bestowed upon me that fateful day. For me it was the most defining moment in shaping my feelings about war.

I never knew any of the names on the wall a never tryed to remember any of them It's not a prerequisit to morne the loss.

I don't think this should be done on a holiday.
There are obvious reasons for that.
Media will focus on other events.
The Congress won't be there.

We should do this on a Monday, off holiday.

Memorial Day weekend is good. July 4th is just too crowded on the mall.

It's too late. It's a nice date for weather, etc....but in terms of actually making a difference it will mean nothing.

We want to affect the election, and to do that we need to do this before April 22nd - the date of the Pennsylvania primary.

Alex is also the guy who put up an article on his front page saying Ron Paul basically ended his campaign, when the reality is completely different.

I don't like how Alex jumped off the wagon and pouted like a 2 year old.

Did you see what happened? RP mentioned a march and everybody went nuts posting different dates. There were 40-50 different posters throwing out different dates.

We need to ban together and get organized....divided we fall.

They are connected to the Anti-McCain Vet group, so this is the right weekend. Joint activity would draw hundreds of thousands...they have 600,000 members.
