People are waiting for hard proof that RP is mathmatically locked into a brokered convention. Not just assumptions of how it might play out.

I will agree that it is also a viscous circle, no add = no votes. I think once someone or RP post "We are in, no if's and's or but's" the money will come. But......will we die first?

I think maybe a message from RP stating this is how much money we have and this is how far it will take us may help people decide if they would rather give money to the campaign or something else.

There are a lot of good causes these days. Maybe if RP said where the excess money in the campaign would go if he is mathmatically eliminated. That might encourage people to give knowing its going to another good cause.

could it be that people have started to donate to the congressional race for the time being? i think it's very close to reaching the 400k goal, so maybe that's where the money is going to.

also, i think the miunderstanding from ron paul's letter after super tuesday, which caused everyone to feel defeated, contributed to the lack of funds.

so we cannot say that new folks are not coming...I would rather be alarmed if the ratio of new folks starts going down...And right now the funds are being donated more to his congressional campaign..we have 300+K in just over a week...not a small amount by any standards

So in a way we are saying that if the existing folks start donating more money we will have more new folks coming in. Hence, the case for "MONEY BOMBS"....

Too many nay sayers have entered into this forum and it's depressing people. I'm actually thinking about starting a new forum where it will be moderated all day long with any negative statements stricken and ip's being banned. We need optimism and enthusiasm, not pessimism and the so called "realists."

It does make a difference when the media completely blocks him out and there are so many Huckabee trolls all over DIGG. People need to go comment on those sites.

Everyone needs to act locally and get ads going.

I haven't been able to go to the site for 2 weeks now. When I try, it says "server cannot be found" every time. I am not a computer savvy person, and I don't know how to access. I don't have a problem with any other site, like daily paul, or ronpaulforums, etc. so at least I can keep current. But I cannot donate anymore.

If combined with his congressional fundraising, it's probably not so bad. And now there's 10,000 buses we need to charter.

As others have mentioned, the congressional campaign needed cash, there is a billboard that is now up, and a race car that is asking for help. I you look at the overall course, we are still doing fine. What I mean is that last quarter, the campaign goal was $12 million (if you take out the $4 mil and $6 mil money bomb days, we didn't meet it, but we did still beat every other Republican candidate's fundraising). Right now we are sitting on the verge of $6 million raised, which is almost $1million per week.

No other Republican has been able to keep up with those totals. Keep moving along and we will make it to the convention. There is no way to calculate the value of all the volunteers who have signed up as precinct leaders and delegates. That kind of publicity is better than any ad. The best resource the campaign has isn't your money, it's YOU!!!

Simple. When he shut that down, he shut down the enthusiasm for alot of people interested in seeing this through as far as it can go THIS ELECTION SEASON. Frankly, Ron's congressional seat does not serve our cause to save this country as well as another 6 months of NATIONAL campaigning and educating.

the most important thing now is planning a good rally and making sure it's as meaningful as possible to as many people as possible.

I don't know if anyone is tracking that, but I think the money has been flowing there the last few days...

The goal there is $4MM and I think it's currently at $3MM and change.

There is a lot going on right now... don't freak out by just looking at one set of numbers.

There is a money bomb for the 18th...maybe since most donations are coming from the base and not new supporters then people are waiting for the 18th .

I havent maxed out yet... and threw some more in earlier this week because donations are so down but also I cant give EVERY day so am waiting to drop another $$$ bomb on the 18th!

Also any thread that trys to drum up donations quickly gets buried by the numbers of threads on "foremost topic" here lately ...and we all know what that is.

You have to remember that there are two types of people who support Ron Paul. There are the patriots... those who are trying to a make a stand for liberty... and there are politicians... those who supported Dr. Paul for president but have now gone to the Huck campaign because Dr. Paul is such a "longshot." I'll be here for the "long haul" and after because to me this is about principle. To others... when the going gets tough the... not so tough... go to Huckabee? Hmmm...

Now we have to re-build momentum. Lets ask Ron Paul to set a date for the march so we can get on with this exciting new initiative. That is the remedy.

Money is important, no doubt, but if we look back at the beginning of this movement there was very little money donated on a daily basis, and the enthusiasm was high. So perhaps we need to work on enthusiasm and positive ideas. Then perhaps the money will follow, but more important are delegates, we need delegates first, votes and money are meaningless otherwise.

That's why all this business about picking up a few "stealth" delegates, and sacrificing a win in Washington on Saturday was a bad idea. We needed the publicity, as well as a shot in the arm for our own supporters.
