Paul is not telling us something

I've been watching the way this campaign is going and have been pleasantly surprised much more than disappointed. I have to wonder if there is something he isn't telling us. In his video he mentioned that there could be changes in the upcoming months before the convention. It seems to me the field went from 10 candidates to 3 candidates very quickly. It made no sense at all for Romney to drop out. Huckabee will probably drop out soon. That leaves McCain and Paul with HALF A YEAR until the convention. This is just too bizarre. Granted McCain will have more than enough delegates going into the convention, but then what? How much money does Paul have right now? What if something happens that really changes things. Like one of his temper tantrums (Howard Dean scream), or a health issue, or even possibly a change of heart among the electorate. What happens then if Paul is still the only one running? Maybe Romney or someone else would jump back in, I don't know. Something just doesn't seem right.

Stop listening to old media
Just because the Old Media says McCain has the delegates, does not mean he does. Many of the delegates will not decide until the convention in Minneapolis. The media wants to anoint the candidate, but we have to stop them and take this to the convention.
Fact is, McCain does not have the numbers he needs.
So, stay on track and watch the Master Candidate work his magic. We can still see Dr. Paul as our president!
Notify your state GOP of your intent to be a State Delegate at National Convention (let them know soon), so that you can choose Dr. Paul at the National.

I think, and I hate to think
I think, and I hate to think this, that with Tuesday over with, and the situation overall.... there's no chance of a brokered convention... at this point it'd take a miracle with McCain loosing terribly or dying in order for us to have a chance...
I think the march on Washington is another way to spread the message, but it's also a way to force the supporters and grassroots to focus and keep working on something to help the message continue after the campaign/election. Paul knows that for future success the message and support has to stay strong, and what better way to do that than rally as much of the support as possible in a grand showing?
So if anything, this march is meant to keep everyone's hopes up and keep them committed to the cause... but the effort to win the presidency may be over...
Only time will tell for sure, and I pray that I'm wrong on this... we shouldn't stop trying though... the campaign gives us a national platform to spread the message and ideas. We'll have to wait until May to get a clear idea of how things are going to be when delegates finally start to get decided...
At this point, of course, our only hope is either McCain miraculously dies, or there's a brokered convention...

the what if possibility. He stated that something could possibly come out in the media on either candidate that could potentially derail their run for the Presidency. That was my interpretation of what RP said. Anyone else?

Ron is planning on pulling the natural born citizenship card. McCain may very well not be qualified to be president. I believe members of Congress can do just that.
Something is brewing behind the scenes!!
I think Dr. Paul is pulling a leg on the establishment and the media (and even us, because something is brewing behind the scenes that probably only Kent Snyder and Dr. Paul knows about). Why would he release as letter that the media would pick up as he's quitting?? Even though we begged them to remove the letter it's still available to read on the RP homepage.
And look how confident he looks during the rally speech in Lake Jackson, TX. Like he have some thing up his sleeve for sure. And then the video telling us to fight on and it's not over even though the media clearly have projected McCain the winner.
If Ron Paul knew it was over I have no doubt in my mind that he would come out and tell us. But, he is still hanging in there and now he is calling for a march on Washington in 3 - 4 month. He is also securing his congressional seat and a good showing in the Texas primary, the he will then pick up the President race with full force.
It's like he is waiting for the right moment to strike the enemy when they least expect it, and it will probably come from somewhere they least expect it.........Once again, something is brewing behind the scenes!!

True. Or perhaps he knows how important it is for this movement to keep up its momentum. If he calls a square a square, many supporters will start to lag and the Revolution may end. Hence the "in it to the end" and the march. These are things to keep us upbeat, active, attentive.
That said, I've been thinking all along he's holding something back. Maybe that's a pipe dream and he's in over his head. Both are possible.
That is why I still hand out literature.
Just getting his name and ideas out there is a WIN WIN for me personally and spiritually! And if it happens that all the retarded GOP fall to their own demise then it will really have been worth it!!

The rank and file GOP stalwarts are still hung up on "the war on terra" and something needs to break into that mindset. At this point they are all about finding someone who will "stay on offense" since that's what they're spoonfed all day, every day. The primaries are showing us this rather clearly. So, we need to alter the perception amongst the GOP re: terrorism. Anybody have good ideas on how?

In the beginning, everyone was "Go Ron Paul!! Woo-hoo!" His message and taking back the country is what many want. But now, many people have come into the picture and turned a genuinely great message of unity into something more personally to suit their own needs.
They have forgotten why they joined the fight to begin with and want to run things their own way. They chant malicious rhetoric such as "Ron Paul is not going to win -- Join my plan to stop McCain!" or "Ron Paul is finished unless he runs third party! Join me and we can nominate a new Libertarian Candidate!"
These people who claim they are RP supporters but "realists" are only "real" about one thing for sure... their selfish need for power and persuasion of the people. They have no purpose and they are not welcome, because we don't need them and they stand for something entirely different than that which THE SUPPORTERS stand for.
Knowing this, if you were Ron Paul, would you let everyone know what you're plans are when there is, no doubt (as seen here on the forums), a bunch of "fake" supporters who wish nothing better than to be the bearer of bad news or bring down the level of support?
If we're going to win, it's best that we don't know everything he has up his sleeve and it's also best to keep our mouths shut and just do our jobs -- which is get delegates and raise money. We should leave the rest up to him and trust in him.

the scenes about McCain. Ron "alluded" to that during his latest video. Very interesting stuff. I think that the Dems were holding stuff back until the general election so that they could do a "Smack-down" on McCain, but that info has leaked and Ron's got it. Or Someone that Ron knows.

My guess as to why Romney dropped out the race. Romney would have never dropped out to give up his chance to be president. If he was approached by McCain with the news that he won't last very long as president, Romney would jump at the chance to be the VP, then president. If I'm not mistaken, that would also give him two more terms to run for president if he wanted to also. I think McCain will pick Romney as his VP.

I was at an insurance convention the other day, because I work in insurance, and I was proudly wearing my ron paul 2008 sticker on my lapel, I asked a woman if she would have some information about Ron Paul, as I started to hand her a slim-jim. Her response:
"Oh no thank you, he scares me."
"Ron Paul Scares You? Why?"
"Oh, well...I'm a McCain supporter."
No facts, no reasons why, just plain old blind ignorance and acceptance of McCain.

I agree, there appears to be more going on behind the scenes than we know about. Dr. Paul has been in the arena for many years, he is sure to have friends "in the know" with info that we are not privy to. Every step he has taken has been deliberate, and he's careful not to give out his strategy, even to his supporters. It's been said many times before on here:
Trust the man. He has done this before. He knows how to win. He understands the political process and the election dog-n-pony act. Trust in his instincts. If you don't trust him to run an effective campaign, how do you trust him to be your President?

That's not really true. Many people hire others in charge of their "campaign" because they don't have the time nor the first clue about it. It's not just in politics either, but in general. That's like saying Brad Pitt is a bad actor because his PR Manager doesn't know what he's doing. In the end, the road to the white house is not up to Ron Paul, but up to EVERYONE who is involved, including us... as a matter of fact, his supporters are probably more responsible for his success thus far than anyone else. Without us (his supporters), he'd be dead in the water months ago.
An effective campaign is so subjective -- look at Mitt Romney as an example, as many thought he had an effective campaign. The truth is, people need to believe in the person, and that takes time. The unfortunate part is, it would be a lot easier if the media would actually let him speak. But oh well, look like we'll just have to work around it as usual. =)

I know RP doesn't in fact 'run the campaign', it was merely a literary comparison. I was generalizing to make the argument. The fact is we need focus. RP knows what he is doing. We should follow the example, but we should blaze parallell trails as well.
