No offense to those starving kids in Africa... but it's not the tax payers responsibility to bail out the citizens of other nations. We've got homeless here in America and our bridges are falling down.

How about we take care of the USA and not worry about starving kids.

I agree its really stupid to waste money on somthing like this but its not the job of CONgress to worry about children in other nations either.. I don't like the thought of other peoples children dying in other parts of the world but congress has no constitutional authority to take care of them.. the church should be doing this... why are they not!

Granted our government should not be involved in baseball, nor should they tackle the issue of hunger in the world. It is not their duty. Charitable organizations are much more efficient at taking care of the needy than the government.

Congress is a total waste. I know that my Texas senators and my representative are nothing but Bush lapdogs. They have NEVER voted against anything he wants. I have written and called them so many times and get the usual canned response. I have told them I will do everything I can do to get them "unelected".

We need a "clearinghouse" that can keep tabs on how members of Congress vote....who votes according to Constitution (probably a very short list) and who doesn't. Then when these people are up for reelection, we need to get the word out and put them out of office.

If we don't clean up Congress, even Ron Paul would have a hard time making changes as President.

Who in the hell do they think they are to be demanding testimony from baseball players over the use of steroids? What a complete sham! And Senator Arlen Spector has actually called for a Senate investigation into the alleged spying by Bill Belichick of the Patriots. Forget about the fact that the NFL has already fined the guy half a million. But no, Spector isn't satisfied. So he wants to waste time and money investigating an issue that is over and done with.

And this is the government that the people continue to re-elect over and over again. When the hell will America wake up? Oh yeah, I remember....
