Take Action: Ask The GOP to consider Ron Paul
Here is why the GOP should reconsider Ron Paul
http://www.huffingtonpost...
The GOP is in trouble without Ron Paul being promoted as the front runner that he is because Ron Paul is drawing from the huge pool of Democrat Voters and unaffiliated and other parties as well. No other candidate is drawing this kind of support but the GOP would do very well to get behind Ron Paul so we can Win in November!
Let's email the GOP and explain all the great benefits that Ron Paul and the Ron Paul Republicans have brought.
Tell the GOP about your campaigning efforts and activities, i.e. voter registrations, meetups, training, get out the vote stuff,, etc.
Let's promote Dr. Paul to the GOP and incite the fact that it is okay for the GOP to finally decide on a candidate, Dr. Paul

Here's mine - took way more than two minutes:)
I have been a conservative voter and Republican Party member for most of my adult life, but the direction that this party seems to be taking is far removed from the party that made the contract with America. Apparently, the contracts seem to be made in favor of big business & special interest lobbyists – especially those benefiting from the so-called ‘war on terror’ and the militarizing of local police forces across the country.
I have written several letters expressing my discontent to those in my party representing me and my family’s values, to no avail. Many in my circle of republican friends were equally upset at the disconnect they felt the party had with its members. We feared that the 2008 election would easily be lost to the democrats (again) unless the party came up with a nominee that could demonstrate that they would reverse the damage done by the current administration.
When Ron Paul entered the race and stood apart from the rest of the same old offerings I thought, “Finally, a decent candidate!” But the treatment he received not only by the other candidates during the debates and the media as a whole, but by the party itself, was absolutely inexcusable! Here is a man who has been sent to congress 10 times, has the most principled conservative record of the lot and was willing to speak some common sense to a bunch of pols. His support and campaign grew exponentially with every opportunity for him to be heard (which wasn’t many). GOP leaders tried to have him excluded from debates because he had opposing views on the war and called for severe reductions in the size and scope of government.
What the heck does the GOP stand for anymore? Why aren’t they listening to their members? They are promoting candidates that have more in common with democrats and no understanding of the economic issues that our country is facing right now. I understand that there are things that some would not like about Ron Paul - there is no such thing as a perfect candidate - but overall, there is no candidate that fits the core values of the GOP as well as he does. Why is he being overlooked and dismissed? Unfortunately, I think the answer is a sad testimonial to the state of our political system. When those in power would lift up and promote candidates who have little support among the people so that they can further an agenda that goes against the principles that they profess to hold dear, it becomes crystal clear that money and power have the say in this party.
The GOP no longer stands for conservative principles based on the founding fathers’ vision of a constitutional republic. They seem to have lost themselves in a false sense of gung-ho ‘patriotism’ based on fear. I laugh at that because I remember in the past two elections how republican pundits would attack democrats because they used fear as a platform (fear that the elderly would lose their social security; fear that children would starve without school lunch funding). Now the GOP is doing the same thing when it comes to the war on terror – the only difference being that republicans are using the fear to separate us from our constitutionally protected rights.
My suggestion is that the GOP gets real when it comes to this nomination. It needs to support the true conservative and quick! A McCain nomination will be a loss for our party, and not just in this election. Ron Paul is the only candidate that can beat Hillary. It will be an uphill battle to beat Obama, but he has a much better chance than McCain. As far as Huckabee is concerned, he is so dirty he would be ripped to shreds by the dems. That is just my take on this situation. I will not vote for McCain or Huckabee – they are not conservatives. And I am far from alone on this…
My letter (based from cam.shane found below)
"Obama gets more votes than all republicans combined"
Romney, McCain and Huckabee are all good but.....they cannot stand up to Hillary or Obama when the time comes. They have already outlined there attacks and consider both McCain and Huckabee to be an easy defeat.
Accorting to Drudge regarding Huckabee, "DEMS HOLD FIRE ON HUCKABEE; SEE 'EASY KILL' IN GENERAL ELECTION." http://drudgereport.com/f...
According to Mike Reagan regarding McCain, "I can't help it. I know in my heart he hates me, and every conservative. If he gets the nomination the only way he could win against Hillary or Barack Obama would be to be part of a McCain-Limbaugh ticket." http://www.nevadaappeal.c...
I quote Erika Anderson who reports on Newt Gingrichs' speech at CPAC, "Like many Republicans, Gingrich seemed gloomy about Republican prospects in 2008, citing sobering statistics like the fact that 14.7 million Democrats voted in the Super Tuesday primaries while only 8.3 million Republicans did. Gingrich said if this trend continues, it is a 'warning of a catastrophic election.' Republicans are losing in online fundraising and among voters: losing any sense of competitive edge. “We had better change and we had better change now,” Gingrich warned. http://www.humanevents.co...
At CPAC she reported, "Paul’s speech drew a large group of young conservatives to the Regency Ballroom at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. Paul, who is often compared to Democrat candidate Barack Obama for his ability to draw the youth vote, has stayed afloat in the race with the help of dedicated followers who have helped him raise millions of dollars and flooded the internet with his name."
If the GOP was truly thinking about promoting Congressman Ron Paul (the first tier candidate who has ridden on the wheels of his grassroots supporters) it would be drawing on the millions of democrat votes for November that would be up for grab given the opposition was hearing the message of the constitution and fiscal conservatism.
In 2007 Ron Paul Republicans hit the streets and registered tens of thousands of new Republicans while switching many democrats and getting unaffiliated individuals registered as Republicans also.
Me personally, I registered 15 new republicans and my girlfriends 47 year old mother has been unregistered her entire life, and is now registering Republican to support Ron Paul Republicans everywhere!
If Ron Paul's conservative message was allowed to hit the main stream, the surge of followers would rival both Democrats put together. If you want to save the GOP, you will have to stop the silencing of the media and raise Ron Paul up on the shoulders of the GOP as the American conservative candidate.
It is never too late to reconsider and make a serious attempt to Win!!!
Sincerely,
great point!
so many new republican voters because of Ron Paul and our efforts! My mom voted for the 1st time EVER! 56 years old! For Ron Paul!!

My letter... "LET'S TALK, SHALL WE?"
To Whom It May Concern:
As a lifelong Republican, who supported both Bushes, I have come to realize one thing. When I heard W's speeches while running for President, I knew why I voted for him – twice.
Today, when I hear him speak, I feel nauseated and turn off the T.V. I'm now embarrassed to admit I am a Republican and that I voted for him!
There was always something missing since Ronald Regan, but could not put my finger on the problem. There is not enough time or room here to speak to my distain for President Bush without calling him every word my Mother taught me was improper. But I will say, what is most important to me, is integrity. Once you loose it, you can never get it back. President Bush has NO integrity! I resent being lied to by everyone in his administration. I resent all my freedoms being taken away in a FAKE War Terror! Through many hours of research and studying of history, I now understand what has been going on, for many, many years. Now I know why this “feeling” of uneasiness. How can so-called Republicans sleep at night? We are all human beings here to live our lives in an honorable way.
Being recently semi-retired, I've had the chance to research all this years candidates. Nothing about any of them inspired me, until I read about Ron Paul. I IMMEDIATELY made a donation to his campaign, nothing I'd ever done before. I would not even check the box on my Federal Income Tax authorizing a donation to the Presidential race. I have, however, donated to his campaign several times, and will continue to do so until maxed out. Also, due to the GOP subversively undermining him at every term, I will only donate directly to the candidate, AFTER research. Dem/Rep/Constitution/Libertarian/Green or whatever – I will now know who I am voting for and will also campaign for that person of values and integrity. Republicrats!!! No difference, read their lips, and they vote the same!
Ron Paul stands for everything this country was supposed to be; what The Constitution of the United States represents. He stands for everything I grew up believing about our great country, loving it for all my many years. Now, I’ve had a year to study, learn, investigate and know why Ron Paul is the only person to whom I trust and will give my vote this year.
When he speaks, it’s always the truth. He makes sense, he is an honorable Congressman and faithful husband – family values are important to me too. He knows what is going on and thus started the Ron Paul r3VOLution! This will continue many years past Dr. Paul and myself. He is more intelligent than all the other candidates put together.
Now, reason for this letter. Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate who can beat Clinton or Obama – the only one. Put him in a debate with either one of them and jaws will drop! They can’t hold a candle to his love of this country, his knowledge about the economy, foreign relations, and most importantly, his desire to restore the great Constitution and explain why it is great and should not be trampled on any longer.
All our elected official are officially (excuse my four letter word) liar’s! They swore to uphold the Constitution. The Pledge of Allegiance to the flag - “and to the Republic to which it stands”. Where’s the Republic?
We currently have a shadow of a Democracy – heading towards fascism very quickly. We also have an empire, or Dictator, whichever title you want utilize.
Want to save the country, the Republican Party, and God fearing citizens of the United States, then our party has to come to its senses.
Ron Paul make the best sense; he is the ONLY conservative, no lie necessary here! Ron Paul will be the best President since Reagan, and may become the best President of all time. History will record what happens this year. It will either be the History of which we can be proud, or will be the the History of the destruction of this nation. This country will implode! Forcing Romney to ‘suspend’ in case McCain implodes is so obvious. Choosing McCain only because you believe he can win is the same as saying the U.S. Dollar is sound. The Democrats will destroy him – can’t you see that?
I must tell you, the r3VOLution will not go away. We keep getting stronger, and even with the corruption of the Federal Government in collusion with the old media, nothing will stop this movement.
With the assistance of the GOP, we will be able to keep it a bloodless r3VOLution, restore the Constitution, and give us back our Freedom!
Ron Paul is the best person to represent this county. No corruption, no baggage, no obligations, no more pre-emptive wars. Integrity spelled backwards, is R O N P A U L!!!
Please consider my thoughts and suggestions and understand my love of this country, my children, and grandchildren. It used to be the greatest on Earth!

Integrity spelled backwards...
I love it! Great letter!
Personal testimonial
I had been a lifelong Republican up until about a year ago. Fed up with the Republicans and Democrats, I switched to the Libertarian Party.
Ron Paul was the reason I returned to the Republican Party last month. He was also the reason I became more active in the political process by attempting to become a delegate. The one thing I came across over and over is that many people here in the Lehigh Valley area had registered Independent after years of Republican affiliation.
This experience has driven home the point that the general populace seems to be fleeing while Ron Paul is the only one bringing folks into the Republican Party.

GREAT idea!
Finally someone with an idea that is worth doing. It is true -- they CANNOT win without us. If they would only promote him instead of their fake other two conservatives, they might actually have a chance to beat the demon-rats this time around in the general. Without us they can't, plain and simple.
There is no true conservative left in the race but RP. Fire up those writing skills and let the GOP know what they are missing.
Here's mine, too
I have been a registered Republican for the previous 14 years here in Burlington County, New Jersey. While I have been utterly disgusted with the current administration, I have not left the party and will not leave the party.
Back in July I came across Ron Paul and realized that there was still hope for the GOP. I joined my local meetup group, attended sign wavings and told everyone I know about Dr. Paul's philosophy. I was astonished with the warm reception I generally got regarding his platform. As primary season drew near I took it upon myself to write letters to Republicans in Iowa, attended sign wavings, I became a precinct leader here in my hometown of Florence and organized a lit drop with nine of us canvassing town handing out information and spreading the message.
Now, it seems to me that the GOP would like Republicans like myself to leave the party. Well, I am not going anywhere, infact I intend to get even more involved in politics at the county level and hopefully, one day, at the state level. This movement is growing daily and will reclaim the Republican party and I will be there.
I suggest you take another look at the Liberals the GOP is running and then look at Ron Paul, the only conservative left in the race. Get behind him, he is our only hope this upcoming election season. Of course, what he has started will last well past this election...and thank God for that!
Yes!
Good for you! Stay in and fight. Just because some people have ruined the original platform of the GOP doesn't mean it should be abandoned. We have a two party system and that's the easiest way to have influence. It is going to take more than one election to turn the GOP around, after 100 years of falling to the left.
Stay and work so the next generation will have it easier.
We are fighting a fight at the local, state and national level.
When our own Senators (Obama, McCain) are working toward world government we must do all we can to expose them.
Thanks for the kind words.
Thanks for the kind words. I am not going anywhere, there is too much at stake.
We should be writing to the delegates
to the national convention (once they are finally determined after all the primaries) and urging them to support Ron Paul at the convention (whether it's brokered or not). McCain WILL lose in a landslide against any democrat. Paul can draw many votes away from the democrats and independents, as well as win debates. There may be no way of convincing the pro-war delegates to support Paul, but receiving hundreds or thousands of letters individually might cause some to think twice about McCain. Those not legally bound to vote for him in the first round might consider throwing their lot in with Paul. Anyone know how we could obtain delegate mailing addresses from the GOP in the future? Letters would have to be intelligently written, tactful, and friendly in manner.
I do hope
that the campaign will be keeping us informed so that we will be able to do this!
Here's mine
I am a registered Republican in Alameda, CA.
I would just like to say that I think Ron Paul is the only GOP candidate who can beat the Democrats in the 2008 general election. I think that attempts to prop up McCain will only result in total failure at the hands of an Obama or Hillary.
You folks should really ask yourself, do you really want an Obama or Hillary presidency? I sure as heck don’t.
But you can bet that putting McCain out there will tip the scales to the Dems.
Ron Paul is the only conservative who can also pull Independents, Libertarians, Constitution Party members, and even some disaffected Democrats. Ron Paul is the best hope for retaining Republican values at our most critical leadership position.
Thanks for your consideration.

to write a letter of recommendation to the GOP?
Letter of Consideration for Dr. Paul
GOP,
It has come time to accept the only presidential candidate that truly serves your party’s best interest, Con. Dr. Ron Paul. It is clear throughout the country that the GOP is losing steaming and fading away. Voter turnout during this primary season is a prime example. Democrats are flocking to the polls in droves as disgruntled Republicans stay home due to the lack of a candidate they can be confident in defeating the Democrats bid for the White House. The media has designated Sen. McCain are the GOP front runner, however he has consistently leaning further and further away from true conservative values. The Democrats are set for a landslide victory in November if Sen. McCain does in fact gain the Republican nomination.
To counter the strength of the Democrats we need a candidate who will put true Republican values in action. Ron Paul is the candidate who believes in the platform of strength of the individual, fiscal responsibility, and limited government. With our economy possibly facing some difficult times in the near future, Ron Paul understands the economic issues that need to be dealt with and the first priority is to cut our out of control spending, balancing the budget, and putting the reigns on the deficit. The GOP’s current fiscal practices put the entire economy at risk.
During this primary season, I have volunteered to campaign for Dr. Paul and the true Republican platform by educating fellow Republicans who have become apathetic due to the GOP’s current misguided practices. I have worked with others in my community to try to increase the number of Republican voters by presenting to them Dr. Paul’s platform that aligns with their own values. The true conservative values are the reasons we are Republicans. Many Republicans are looking for a candidate that will honor these values, and they do not feel confident in Sen. McCain or Gov. Huckabee. They are starting to see that Dr. Paul does share their views and would uphold the true Republican platform.
Dr. Paul is a viable candidate and he can become even more viable if the GOP would standby him and return the party to its roots. I encourage you to embrace the candidacy of Dr. Paul and re-embrace true conservative values, or we may run the risk of losing the party as a whole.
Nice letter
Emphasize Winning!!!
Ron Paul is the one who can Win!!!!
Ron Paul Won a Blind Poll
A few months back, somebody did a blind poll, based on Ron Paul's positions compared to all the others, and he won.
It really is just a matter of letting the voters know he exists.
