To hold the debate at the Franklin Institute is a fabulous idea, I can not think of a better place to bring forth the candidates opinions of current scientific issues. I think Benjamin Franklin would be especially pleased that the candidates will be bringing forth their "A-Game" of science comprehension.
I can only imagine the enthusiasm the seated crowd and television audience will have when they are further educated about Political Science, Religious Science, and of course the Science of Military. Imagine if anyone of the candidates were actually educated in a real science.
Oh wait! There's is a candidate educated in the Science of Health, but you decided to exclude him. I am certain Benjamin Franklin would be proud of the exclusion of this candidate, NOT! Should we assume the civil liberties which Benjamin Franklin fought for and documented as essential for all Americans, were just meaningless babbles of speech and misguided strokes of his pen.
One would assume that with all of the highly educated individuals organizing this event, that their examination of the ratio of media exposure or lack there of, to a candidates Polling/Voting numbers indicates that there is a candidate who is actually doing better than all of the other popular candidates.
Your exclusion of a candidate that has raised more money in a single day(twice) than any other candidate in history, is disgraceful. Your decision of his deletion will no doubt carry repercussions that will be felt the night of the debate, and years to follow.
As a supporter of civil liberties, I will do my do diligence to inform the general public of this atrocity. It is with my every intention to march in protest of this event with the other thousands of defenders of liberty. It is with my every intention to inform every debate participant and attendee that this is another example of the erosion of the American peoples freedom of speech.
In conclusion, your decisions repulse me. This will only motivate me to further preach the word of FREEDOM!
"BusinessWeek is reporting about Science Debate 2008, an attempt to put the scientific issues front and center in the US Presidential race. After 12,000 scientists signed on in support of the idea of a debate focused on science, no campaign has replied to an invitation to such a debate. The article notes that only one candidate has said much about science issues in the campaign, and that some who are running are sufficiently anti-science as to deny evolution. There is a link to a comparison of the candidates' positions on issues informed by science. (Yes, Ron Paul is included.)"
Got this from Slashdot.

They sent out invites to the candidates and excluded sending an invite to Ron. Whether he attends or not is irrelevant. They should have sent him an invite regardless, and we need to let these people know that it's not acceptable.
My opposition to Dr. Paul’s omission sent to Mr. Ehlers. While typical to exclude Dr. Paul, no real surprise. One look at the cast of science debate committee members suggests some big government types. Oh well … many better battles to fight.

It doesn't matter
They sent out invites to the candidates and excluded sending an invite to Ron. Whether he attends or not is irrelevant. They should have sent him an invite regardless, and we need to let these people know that it's not acceptable.
I wrote to them...
And they have a My Space!! hahahhaa
I know why they didn't invite him, it's because they're allllll about space exploration....BIG WHOOP when the country is falling apart.
I would be even richer
I would be even richer if I had a dollar for every person who tries to take the media lies and deceit down.
I would be rich
I emailed and sent this message- I would be rich if I had a dollar for every person who assisted in shutting Ron Paul up!!

Of course, I'm being sarcastic.
Sean Hannity "likes" Ron Paul (according to some NeoCon goose-steppers). Maybe he can have a word with them and get Ron Paul into the debate.
