Ron Paul Racing IS LEGITIMATE !!

*** FRIDAY, FEB 15 DONATION DEADLINE !!!! ($100,000) ***

I realize that there has been quite a bit of discussion over this, doubts, skepticism, and even some posts that it was a "scam" on an Alex Jones forum, but let me tell you folks, THIS IS ON THE LEVEL.

How do I know? See below. Matt Harris is a Ron Paul Delegate from my home state of West Virginia, and I have spoken with him on the phone and been in email contact. And, I just heard about his involvement today from a MeetUp group message. He is also Secretary of the WV Libertarian party.

So, PLEASE pass this around and START YER DONATIONS (and buy a few of the cool T-shirts as well) :

SOURCE: http://www.ronpaulracing....
DRIVER: Kenny Wallace
CAR: Fitz Motorsports #36

Harris (of Ron Paul Radio), Mike Simon (a lifelong race fan), and Kathleen Hanover (a public relations/marketing guru). Several original supporters are still on board, and support is growing every day!"

NASCAR drivers do shamelessly plug their sponsors

"The question I have is, the way the drivers shamelessly plug their sponsors on TV, why haven't I heard Kenny saying anything about Ron on any of his TV appearances?"

Maybe because RPR/Liberty Racing is not a sponsor yet and may never become one if the funds are not raised.

If that ends up being the case, just think about all that shameless plugging Ron Paul could have received if it weren't for the smear campaign which continues to be perpetuated.

Why does the phrase "smear campaign" sound so familiar?

KW on TV

"The question I have is, the way the drivers shamelessly plug their sponsors on TV, why haven't I heard Kenny saying anything about Ron on any of his TV appearances?"

So you have seen KW on TV... that is why this will get lots of TV coverage, with Kenny putting in a plug for Ron, I hope this works , but without donations Maybe no kenny..

people ?

have you been to the site ? On the main page they show a car that is all decked out in ron paul information and advertising which won't happen because that would cost a fortune, then if you scroll downyou see the driver showing the spot where Ron Pauls tiny logo will go. Go to the site and look at it! Use your heads.

THIS IS A SCAM !!!!

I had to squint to see it.

Once in a while I'll check out some wild inovation to elect Ron Paul and I have to ask myself two things:

1.Does it follow within the confines of Article II, Section 1, clause 3 of the Constitution for the united States of America as amended AD 1789?

2.Would Ron Paul endorse it?

I'm about 99% convinced it's

I'm about 99% convinced it's not a scam. The big ron paul decked out car at the top is, at most, giving a false impression - and that's why there's a video right there to show what will actually be the decal on the car.

The thing at the top also shows Ron Paul emerging as a driver holding up the cup.. are we to automatically assume that Ron is going to don the helmet and put the pedal to the floor?

Hehehe.. ok, that was just sarcasm.. but after the day we've had here waiting for an answer, I needed the release.

The car at the top of the page does not represent what will really be on the car - true. But even the slightest hint of a sponsorship on a NASCAR car wins the hearts and minds of NASCAR fans. It's almost like some kind of desease.

I bought all DeWalt tools because I like the Dewalt car. Turns out DeWalt tools are just what they claim to be - the best in the business. But it was the CAR that got me to swap out all my old Ryobi gear and upgrade. Even got a MAC toolbox because they're a sponsor of that car too.

Smirnoff ICE at the sports bars, two Fords in the driveway, Kraft Cheese crackers (the 4 cheese flavored ones in fact) instead of the less expensive store brands, Gatorade instead of other sports drinks, Arby's over McDonalds or Wendy's... and why? Because they sponsor 'my' car.

Now I'll be torn between the Dewalt car and the Ron Paul car.. but I guess I can change my cheesitz if I have to.

That may sound half ignorant.. but it's an example of how fanatical NASCAR fans are.

I'm convinced! I already

I'm convinced! I already donated cash to the site and hope to be able to order a T-Shirt as well (currently the ordering system for the shirt is hosed, but I've send the shirt site an email to hopefully get that fixed).

So call this a bump for NASCAR!

I said it was a good idea - and now that we've got a PAC number to verify the site's validity - NASCAR fans can step up.

With the same amount of belief that I put into making sure the site was not a sham, I now offer the support I promised I'd give once that proof was given.

I think this is a fantastic idea. Nascar fans are DIE HARD supporters of the sponsors of cars. 75k average in the stands watching a race - and 2 million on television.

Add that to the millions who watch the NASCAR news channels, other racing channels, buy magazines, posters, etc.. and it's more coverage for $300k than the same money would buy for a 15 second television ad that would be seen ONCE.

Looks like Bliss

Is the better bet, he has some speed in his car. The question I have is, the way the drivers shamelessly plug their sponsors on TV, why haven't I heard Kenny saying anything about Ron on any of his TV appearances? Let me see who's paying to put NASCAR on TV. Hmmm, Disney and FOX. Any questions? You show me a scenario where a car with Ron Paul signage gets big TV time, when it has a small decal and non-star drivving talent (Kenny is a big TV talent but it doesn't look like he's fast enough to make the show), and I'll show you this bridge I have for sale. This money is better spent on yard signs. That is my honest take here.

Thanks

Don't understand

Why this hasn't caught on fire. I gave $100. I think it is great. The decal goes right in front of the back wheels on the door. Should be quite visible. Then there are others on the trailer, etc.

Go look and make up your own mind

Kenny Wallace video on site ,not a audio. Telling you where the sticker goes, and also Holding a piece of paper that says Ron Paul for President...go look a make your own mind up...

Just get the guy

on the Alex Jones show to discuss it.
How hard is that?

Alex runs the Ron Paul Warroom as far as I know.

All he has to do is get on the show and all will be corrected.

What size decal?

Does anyone know what size the decal will be?

Associate

means like a 8 x 12 inch sticker. Basically a bumper sticker. Maybe another sticker on the team hauler. The whole thing is stupid. We could have thrown a million or two at Doug Yates and gotten on a Cup car. The whole busch series with washed up driver and bad team thing is not gonna help.

If it isn't a scam to begin with

'Live for yourself, there's no one else more worth living for,

An associate sponsorship

on a Busch series car is a waste of time and money. The Fitz team is in turmoil and Kenny is past his prime.

I think you're watching the Gatorade Duel .... that's Sprint Cup. This sponsorship is for the Nationwide Series (formerly Busch)

Nope, its Nationwide practice for the Camping World 300 on Sat.

I stand corrected

I've been on Speed Network watching the Sprint Cup thing - didn't realize they were showing practice elsewhere ... my bad :)

Credible??

I just did some research myself (a little behind everyone else), but I was reading a lot of skepticism about Liberty Racing today, and since I donated money, I thought I would give it a second look. Ron Paul Revolution Radio spoke with someone (I think it was Mark Harris), and he gave his telephone number should anyone have any questions. I, personally, think it is legitimate, and I know those NASCAR people are fertile fields. The telephone listed for further information is 608 728-2341.

Its all about advertising and name recognition.

Familiarity brings a level of comfort to the average voter. Familiarity = credibility. Its really simplistic, but the average McCain and Huckabee voters are not exactly.... er, how should I say this.... issue-oriented voters.

Please provide the PAC ID

Please provide the PAC ID number for Liberty Racing PAC so the claims on RonPaulRacing to the effect that they are a political action committee can be verified.

Listen to Kenny Wallace Himself Talk About It

http://www.ronpaulracing....

We have it in our power to begin the world over again.-Thomas Paine

No offense- illogical source

No offense meant here - but - linking to the source of the controversy in any argument is not a real smart move. Its a form of circular reasoning.

Its most standard variation comes from religious arguments for the existence of God - and takes the form: "Jesus (or God) is real because the Bible says so." This is rather elementary stuff to understand the fallacy. The "Bible" of course is the alleged written word of God. So if you break it down - the argument says nothing more than "God says God exists" Hence, the circle analogy. In this situation, it would be simplified as (this of course assumes a scam) "Scammer says there is no scam." Its really that simple.

Now, if kenny wallace himself has some self-authenticating aura that makes this major logical fallacy legitimate - i apologize. I don't know much about nascar nor kenny wallace. Not surprisingly, NASCAR aint real popular in the windy city. Scams, on the other hand, are a dime a dozen.

Just my .02 cents.

Kenny Wallace Video

Kenny Wallace video on site ,not a audio. Telling you where the sticker goes, and also Holding a piece of paper that says Ron Paul for President...go look a make your own mind up...

Okay- now im wondering if its an illogical way to spend money

I watched the video. Now i am wondering how anyone is going to see ron paul's name on a racecar traveling at any speed. Or even standing still. Unless they are literally a few feet from it. If the point is to advertise, don't people have to see it? I suppose if it was on there and it drew attention it might raise awareness that way - the announcers may talk about it - news people might ask the driver about it - but couldnt the driver (a ron paul fan) just wear a Ron Paul logo on his clothes and save us about $99,997 dollars and get that same type of exposure?

Would the location & size of the sticker on the car and the way it would be displayed on t.v. as the race is in progress be readily noticeable to all??

I dont mean to question too much - but we have limited means of raising money - and well - i guess im just skeptical of the effectiveness. Good luck, I hope it works out for the best.

That video does shed a

That video does shed a little light on the subject. But it still stands that RonPaulRacing cannot legally accept donations in the name of a PAC without providing proof that the PAC exists.

It's come down to the PAC information. If it exists, there should be no issues at all with providing it to the people who are being asked to provide funding for this effort. PAC numbers are not protected by any secrecy laws, nor are they considered to be outside of the public record. They are a public record.

Think of it this way, without a PAC the money cannot be obtained. Without the money the sponsorship of the car cannot be obtained. But since the race team wants to help demonstrate that they are willing to accept the money once it is raised, they provide Wallace for a video.

So lets say people take that as proof that this is real. Money pours in. If there is no PAC number and this is a scam - not only do the donors get hurt but Wallace was duped as well. Not his fault. Properly presented to him and his team, he would think everything is legitimate.

I'm wondering if they had to provide the PAC number to Wallace at any time.. or if it was even asked for.

Providing the PAC number is VERY little for us to ask of RonPaulRacing after the demonstratable shady tactics they have used in these past weeks. If they have the time and resources to get a video made, put up a site, apply for a PAC and advertise that they are legit - then providing that PAC number should come as no suprise at all - it's the law that says they have to provide it to anyone they ask for donations.

Explain the NASCAR connection to me

NACAR supporters the war 100% and Ron Paul does not. So what's the connection? Advertisement?

Just saw this scam alert

Is there any proof from the Kenny Wallace people or Fitz?

Before you give any money to this, you might want to see this link, folks.

Connie Talk Smear

This idiot at Connie Talk is going to be sued for defamation of character.
This is about painting the WHOLE CAR with the ad, not a bumper sticker. This is no different than the blimp project. You donate for advertising, that's it. It's NOT a money bomb.

This Connie Talk retarded website is slandering these people and I feel is going to end up in trouble if she doesn't stop.

Proof

Sorry, but I need more proof of this. Are you telling us that an actual Winston Cup NASCAR car will look like the one you have on your site? Those ads cost milions of dollars!

I just aint buying it. Show us some proof or what the actua ad will look like on the car.

"Bush" car, not "Winston" Cup

First of all, some history: Several years ago, Winston tobacco products sponsorship was replaced by Nextel communications for the premier NASCAR Cup. Then, starting this year, Nextel changed to Sprint. So the Winston Cup became the Nextel Cup which became the Sprint Cup.

Also this year, the former "minor league" Busch Series is under new sponsorship as the Nationwide Series.

That said, this is for the #36 Nationwide (Bush) Series car of Fitz Motorsports and driven by Kenny Wallace. Kenny is the more entertaining of the three Wallace brothers. There is a picture on the website showing the quarter panels where this ad will be. Again, go to http://www.ronpaulracing.... AND WATCH, LISTEN, READ. Thanx.

Will the car look like the one pictured on the main page ?

That's a awesome paint job if it will look like that.

There has to be something to it.

All the McCain people I know are NASCAR fans....most haven't even heard of Ron Paul. They don't watch debates, but you'd better believe they watch the races.

If you ever wanted to be "in their face"...boy, this is how to do it. I hope enough people support you. I wish I had more money to give :(

Good Luck guys!

This will not win votes. I

This will not win votes. I doubt the average person attending racing knows much about the issues or ever bothers to vote. In any event, it is the economy, war, and Constitution that are the issues. RP's name on a race car will not win votes. Like the blimp, after the initial media attention, it is just fluff that won't gain much.

getting to McCain voters

you said:

"I doubt the average person attending racing knows much about the issues or ever bothers to vote."

You're right that they don't know much about issues, but they DO bother to vote.

When you sit at your computer after primaries and watch the votes roll in and think to yourself...."who ARE these people voting for McCain?"

THERE YA GO......

Personally, I think these guys have GARGANTUAN BALLS for going out on the track with Ron Paul all over their car. If anybody should be showing them love, it's us. (and no....I'm not affiliated with these guys at all....I know zilch about NASCAR other than seeing Bush bumper stickers RIGHT NEXT to race-car-driver-number-sticker-thingys all over the place)
