The Message: Isn't it about time we listened to the troops?
Spread this message far and wide!
I propose we use Bush' s mantra [support the troops] for support for Ron.
Operation MP (Military for Paul): While watching the lasted video from RP, I felt there was an important fact that deserves consideration as a possible means to guarentee voters for Ron. It starts at 5 min, 46 sec in; and I have transcribed it here.
I quote Ron: "They would like to charge that we are unpatriotic, that we are not American, that the troops do not support us. But isn't it unbelievably beneficial for us to realize now that our funds exceed all the other candidates that come from the active military duty people. We get more money from active military people than all the other candidates--all the Democrats and all the Republicans. Which tells us that we're on the right track. We're supporting the troops because we support the Constitution. How can we expect the troops to go and risk their lives defending the Constitution and then go to war under UN resolutions? So this is a powerful message...."
My idea came when reading this in one of the DailyPaul forums: http://www.dailypaul.com/...
It hit me like a brick. We need a movement using military persons (by law, not in uniform) and veterens--something on the order of the Toys4Tots campaigns. We can be the voice of our active military, when their voices are drowned out by those who wish to defeat our movement. Do you, too, feel:
1) People are afraid of Ron's foreign policy or don't understand it,
2) Don't know about the support RP has from our military; or may not realize its significance.
3) Many are probably intimidated that a vote against the war is a vote against the troops.
Let's educate that a vote for Ron is a vote to support our troops. That to truly support the troops you have to listen to them. I decided to try out my theory last Saturday so I went up to my local grocery store. I made a sign out of poster board and set it against on of the pillars out front. The sign said, "Isn't it about time we listened to the Troops." I wore my husbands old Military jacket and I tell you that within minutes I had the ear of 15-20 people. You would not believe how many were in regret, "I would have voted for him had I known." --unfortunately our primary is well over. I hope you can see the power of this, I hope you will pair up with fellow veterans and friends, I hope you will be the voice of our men and women who know this is a war we cannot win. It's not Ron Paul's message, it's the message of Peace, Liberty and Freedom!
Note: If there are any ideas to make this ad better, I am open to suggestions. Here it is. If you want it e-mailed in a different format, let me know. Click on my DailyPaul name to contact me.
I have contacted militaryforpaul.com and veterensforpaul.org and I am trying to spread the POWER of this message, a message that Ron has stated to be "UNBELIEVABLY BENEFICIAL FOR US."

we need to get the
soldiers families to speak up. I just can't think of a tasteful way of approaching them (the ones that lost a loved one).

I am working in order of up coming primaries. So far I am writing an e-mail to every individual veteran and organization I can find on the web. I am writing them to move on this. Pleading for there help. I can't do it all by myself and I am looking for volunteers to help. I am in SC and I am using every ounce of the internet I can.
