What the march is REALLY about...

There is much energetic discussion going on about what the "theme" and "focus" of the march on Washington, D.C. should be about.
To me the purpose is very clear and sublime. And it is the same message from Dr. Paul that attracted me to his campaign:
Restoring the Constitution and Principles of the Founding Fathers to our Government
That is basically Dr. Paul's entire message. That we need to start moving back to the Constitution, and quickly, or there will be grave consequences in both the short and long term to our prosperity and our liberty.
The Constitution was created by the Founding Fathers with the intention of restricting the size, scope and reach of the federal government in a way that preserved individual freedom and that allowed self-governance.
I can't comprehend any other title or theme for the march other than:
March to Restore the Constitution
Dr. Paul has said this is not about him... "It's the Constitution, stupid!"
This also solves the problem of who should show up or be invited. All persons who want to restore the Constitution are "invited".
If you are NOT for restoring the Constitution and show up at the march then great! But, if you cause trouble we didn't invite you.

TACTIC: Follow-up red, white and blue July 4, 2008, Ron Paul Revolution Picnic with speakers
and concerts on each state capitol’s lawn
These dates provide both symbolism and practicality. Other weekends in Washington will be described by MSM as mostly tourists to minimize our numbers. When our nonviolent Revolution arrives we want them to know how many we really are without leaving any doubt. The July 4th follow-up would probably be huge after Washington and give those at home an opportunity to join us to let MSM know our numbers continue to grow. Ron Paul Revolution media must secure our broadcast streaming over the internet to every available media outlet for simulcast to the world. It’s time to put up, show up, stand up and be counted like our founding fathers and mothers. I believe we could include the convoy from the west which would grow moving east and parade into Washington with over 1.5 million people in attendance. The July 4th Revolutionary Picnic easily could draw over 50,000 people to most state capitols that Friday and would force local and state media coverage through the weekend. It is not just about an election; it’s about restoring our God given Rights and the Constitution for our children. I believe we are many more than what we think or imagine. Truth is on our side and it is very powerful. It’s time for We The People to do what is Right for US and our children.

I think it should also have all groups present...
The democrats for Ron Paul, Veterans for Ron, etc.....and let's not start nitpicking who to include or exclude.
And CONVOY! Call media ahead as a convoy of 200 300 vehicles passes thorugh their city....make it a weeklong trip.
I agree...
... that all groups should be present. I didn't mean the others shouldn't be there. Just that we need to distinguish ourselves philosophically in case any trouble-makers show up.
For example, if socialists show up and start causing trouble, and we have defined the purpose of the march to be to restore the Constitution then observers will know we aren't responsible for what the socialists might do. Just an example...
How is it that we are the Revolution?
You know I was just thinking how are we the revolutionaries?
is'nt the present olgarchy now, the ones who had the revolution by overthrowning our government?
Any how im definatley with you It's all about restoration of the Constitution, anything else is just uncivilized!

Revolt
We revolted to become free from England.
We revolt now to become free of the socialistic, globalistic government that has enslaved us.
That is why we are a revolution. We are no longer living under our Constitution. They say is is a "living" document, which is their deceptive way of saying we will make it mean what we want it to mean. We will change it however we see fit.
Some people who have awakened to the problem still think that we are "preventing" the take over of our government by socialists. But no, it has already happened. It began 60 years ago on a "the time is now" basis and was stepped up and fully implemented by George Bush as vp to Reagan. We now have to revolt to throw off the shackles that have been placed on us while we were worried about Paris Hilton because that is all they would put in our face, along with drugs in baseball, killings all over in our schools because they have forced mothers into the work force.
I could go on and on.
The Revolution is....
The Revolution is to take back our government, back to what our founding fathers envisioned for our nation when they wrote the Constitution. They fought for, and died for a free nation governed BY the people. Not capitalism, big businesses, lobbyist, secret societies or whoever else has a hand in dampening the voice of the people and our right to govern our nation. We are not free if we aren't willing to defend Liberty, Patriot4Paul.
Liberty Rally - 6/21/08
What better way than the march on DC to show support for OUR Constitution. It was on 6/21/1788 (220 yrs ago) that this document became the law of the land when ratified by N.H., the 9th state of the original 13 giving a 2/3 majority vote. I agree, with martfuncher, whole heartly. This isn't about Dr. Paul, just his message. It is our opportunity to show the world that we are awake to what is going on and we are ready to defend Liberty and OUR Constitution. Let's rally fellow Patriots. We are not free if we aren't willing to defend Liberty, Patriot4Paul.
