Confirmation of Liberty Racing sponsorship

Ok, this puts my mind at ease; I hope it helps someone else.
I just got off of the phone with Tim Winski from Activ8, the marketing firm for Fitz Motorsports and he has confirmed the pending sponsorship is legit. After he and I spoke this morning, he contacted Armando Fitz (team owner) and Kenny Wallace(driver) to confirm, since he (Tim) had not been directly involved in the deal.
This gives me more peace of mind than any PAC number ever will. My money will be on the way!

Every day I hear about this.
And everyday the deadline changes. It said on the site that if the amount was not reached on the deadline than the sponsor would pro rate it.
I am not sure how a little sign on a car would help. It is small and surrounded by other little signs. I have read most threads so there is no convincing to be done. Maybe it will work a little. But it does constantly pop up over and over and over. I would understand but WHEN IS THE DEADLINE? STOP CHANGING IT! That is why they are deadlines.

Instead of spending your time being negative here, why don't you take the initiative to simply go to www.ronpaulracing.com and find the answer for yourself.
If you don't have something nice to say, don't say it at all. Otherwise you become part of the problem, not part of the solution.
Obviously you have a lot of time invested in this project.
That's cool. Therefore, I will help you out by giving it another bump.
If you do not get the $50k tonight. What is the next step? Are there anymore deadlines? Where would the money go?
These are simple questions. I have read the threads questioning the legitimacy of the PAC and all. Thus, I believe these to be valid concerns.
I wish you all the luck in the world. I am sure it would be great. I was not being nasty. You were.

The validity of the PAC has been confirmed.
It appears that RPR had just applied for the PAC through the FEC on the 11th, thus they did not have the number yet.
Why noone just came out and said that, I'm not sure - but that's water under the bridge now.
I donated and got a couple shirts coming.. NASCAR for the win!

Introduction
33 year old from Maryland, RP Meet-Up #193, Precinct Leader. Helped place over 150 signs last weekend for MD Primary, worked as Election Judge from 5AM-10PM this past Tuesday. NASCAR fan for 12 years, work for race track for past 7 years escorting drivers on the gounds. I'm also the guy who tracked someone down via phone and asked point blank if this was a scam or not. What else would you like to know?

I hope to be a delegate here in FL and at the RNC if they'll have me.
I was a precinct capt., volunteered for projectvotecount.com, belong to the Orlando Meetup group, my yard signs are still up, my car has two sings in the windows, and every Friday I wear my Ron Paul t-shirt to work.
Oh yeah, and I'm a race fan who understands the attention NNS and Kenny Wallace can generate for our otherwise suppressed efforts at national media attention.
What's your deal and why would you try to inject doubt when it seems to me the legitimate questions have all been answered? If you don't think this is a good use of your $$, then go donate at the campaign site (which I also have done over half a dozen times) and leave this to those who get it and want to see it fly.
For the record, as evidenced in this thread, I never said it was legit or tried to convince anyone it wasn't. I've merely caught on to what a good idea this is and want others to join in. Go back and read and you'll see that this is pretty much how the blimp got off the ground - great idea, followed by possibly sketchy web site, reluctant early supporters, and finally a wave of support when most doubts were removed. I'm also NOT suggesting that this anecdote offers any more or less legitimacy to the racing sponsorship, just that I was glad to have been part of the blimp advertising, and think NNS is another great 'vehicle'. (all puns intended) :-)

I would NOT donate to this project until they comply. The domain name is not even registered to the owner, it is registered by proxy, which is even more shady to me.
It is a pure shame that they can't/won't give the number, and I think it means that this is a SCAM!

Need $$$ COUNTER UPDATED
I donated yesterday and the $ tote counter is still stuck at $23,786.99
NEED TO GET THIS FIXED ASAP !!! It is seeing the counter update to a higher number that gets people excited. If potential donors do not see any progress, they will get the mistaken impression that there is no interest in this project and will develop cold feet and walk away.
As of now, any new potential donor will think that this is a lost cause 'cause we're shown as not even a quarter of the way and the deadline is MIDNIGHT TONIGHT.

Matt says PAC treasures is updating MANUALLY
I emailed Matt about this and he replied back that the Liberty Racing PAC treasurer is only updating this thing MANUALLY each time he fills out the FEC paperwork for each individual contribution because they cannot affort the expense of software and associated internet services to do it automatically like the moneybombs.
WOW, that sure sounds cumbersome! It would sure be nice to see the current total and have him do the paperwork later.

I was probably one of the first to donate to them. We cant pass this up we need to dig deep and give. Maybe you can sell a quarter ounce of gold and make a donation. This the most important part of the campaign so lets all did deep and give.
