I was just thinking seriously recently and I wanted to post and share my thoughts on this. We all know what's at stake. We all know what our role in government is whenever the government is guilty of a long train of abuses. Today's government is making us suffer a series of abuses that, if continued, would arguably be as bad as, or worse than, those suffered by our forefathers, which caused them, with much regret, to pen the Declaration of Independence, and melt down churchbells into musketballs.
Seriously, we are fast approaching a time of decision very similar to what our Founders faced. Where do we, today, draw the line, and use our ultimate voice in government?
I say that moment for us, as a free people, would be if/when the government would attempt to impose martial law on our nation, and attempt to disarm us.
Seriously, should that action happen, I say let that be the last straw.
Then, we would have no other voice left but to assemble every citizens' militia in the nation and make war and win back our freedoms again, just as our forefathers were forced to.

That is why the new law got signed in January. That plays into the push for electronic medical records. That plays into why the pharmaceutical industry wants to treat you for your depression even if it is rather mild, treat you for your shyness, your anxiety, screen our soldiers for PTSD - once we all have a mental illnes diagnosed they can sift our records electronically, then send out Blackwater to disarm us. Most of the vets in my area do not even know about the new law. It is very sad to watch them come to the realization that the nation the served has just serviced them, in the agricultural sense. They are creating a whole new breed of POW's - Pissed Off Warriors.

There has to be a peaceful solution to all of this.
Many people who otherwise support the Constitution, don't even own guns.
I myself don't own any, nor do I plan to get any. That is simply a personal choice, which everyone must make on their own. I am not for or against firearms, they are just a tool, and only as effective or dangerous as the person using them.
A line from when "We Were Soliders" comes to mind here. Where Mel Gibson's character is talking to his Sgt Major and says:

I suggest we focus more on reasonable preparations for ourselves and our families, and getting the people elected to change our country for the better, before it changes us... permanently.

While the groundwork for the set-up is undeniable, frightening and much further along than anyone could have imagined, it is, at this point, a logistical nightmare to implement.
It worries me that people are jumping that far ahead of the game, instead of trying to change the game itself. We have an advantage in that, their plans rely largely on public ignorance of the plan.... :D
I am not burying my head in the sand, rather, I'm looking at this from a strategic standpoint. I can guarantee you, though, that if talk of violent revolution persists, you are only speeding up the process--they will call you an enemy combatant and what-not, and you will disappear.
We are doing all the right things--Ron Paul has caused many people to wake up to the dangerous situation that faces us, and has given us all the hope that it can still be changed through peaceful means.

first of all could we please stop referring to "conspiracy" theories as if they are all some elaborate impossible crazy idea that could only happen in the movies....people conspire every day, its not that far of a stretch of the imagination.......in fact you might even think it makes good common sense that people with lots of money and power might plan on how they can get more money and power.......
anyway, a democrat is obviously going to be elected, which means a new terror attack. This one will probably be much worse than 9/11, and it will definitely send us into martial law, and they WILL try to take our weapons. Personally, that is where I draw the line, with the taking of the weapons. At that point I suggest everyone use your Constitutionally protected right to defend your family and your property from such an intrusion.
Not only will they try to take our guns but they will take you and your family to one of the hundreds of FEMA camps being built for your "safety". Theres no way in hell im rotting away in some nazi death camp, Id MUCH rather go in a hailstorm of bullets.
Seems like a lot of the other European countries have let themselves be pushed around by the bureaucrats, I'm praying the same doesn't happen here. Freedom was developed here, and it will be saved here at the last line of defense, America.

martial law is highly unlikely..Would have to be an event of unparalleled proportion..Sorry, but i don't see another major terror attack..What happened to those 300 terrorists that graduated from training camp a year ago ? Did they get lost or did their camels break down...

We must not resort to such actions... only in a last resort and only in defense when the threat becomes serious enough...
we don't want this to turn into an unnecessary war, or civil war...
we shouldn't be talking about such things at this point. We should wait and continue to work through the democratic process.... if that fails then we can go to education and demonstration. If that fails we can go to civil disobedience... if that fails and our lives are threatened (which I think is unlikely), then we can go to the last resort and I'm sure people would join...
However, that is all unlikely and probably unnecessary. Do not resort to violence over these issues... let's not turn this into a violent issue. We still have better options and alternatives...
please, no more talk of this... let's just wait a bit. I know there are some scary things going on, I know what we've lost, what's at stake, what we could potentially lose, and what could happen... but think of how much worse it will get if someone uses violence. The moment one of us uses violence, we will justify the enemy's plan and their Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorist Act. Remember, they have the majority of people confused, we don't want to play into their hands and then have the people with them against us and in fear of us.

What is really needed to regain our fading liberties is to organize uncensored media outlets. Right now all the radio, newapapers and TV stations are owned by a handful of people. Of course we have the internet but if people don't know where to go to get uncensored news what good is it? And even the internet will soon follow. Not only do we need to occupy public offices on all level but the Revolution should also invade the media. So many people don't have a clue what is going down in our country. I received my wakeup call about 6 months ago and was it ever a rude awakening. It was only because my son mentioned some unbelievable things about what's really going on. When I thought my beloved freedom could possibly be in jeporady I got on the internet and reseached and found out for myself. Yes, we've been lied to and manipulated beyond belief. The think tank moniker "conspiracy theory" has got to be overcome. The curtain has to rise.

I don't see martial law happening
While our movement may protest people are just too damn apathetic now a days to do anything but gripe..now with the Internet people can vent through it..We currently are not a large enough organization to make enough noise to cause such an event..Could a large terrorist attack cause martial law to be imposed, of course it could..But I don't for see any such attack in the near future..There is very little we could do if martial law is imposed as the military might is far superior to the citizens..it would be an interest scenario to watch play out, but it's not likely to happen barring some catastrophic event !

Maybe they will use the whole economic crash or some form manipulation control where they say ALqaeda detonated all these bombs, and you won't even think about it, you'll just do what your told and stay home, while they create a new constitution and then say or spin what went down while we had no television or radio. For them to impose martial law, there must be a "reason"
The "reason" they will give to initiate martial law will be such that they will be able to manipulate public opinion into support for their actions. It will be seen by the MAJORITY as being "worth it". And therefore any efforts to resist the martial law will be seen as UNPATRIOTIC. And the second revolution will have to be conducted CONTRARY TO MAJORITY PUBLIC OPINION. This means that the majority will support the Government cracking down on the minority that are standing up for Liberty. Be prepared for such.

There is evidence THEY planned to have martial law on 9/11 but something went wrong (4th plane was supposed to hit the Capitol Building or White House???). Jeb Bush actually declared martial law in Florida on the 7th of Sept 2001, I think it was. Guess he had some inside info...how shocking.

I can understand your anxiety
many of us know what is happening and feel helpless. I'm a 57 year old housewife who doesn't know anything about fighting. I do know they have an agenda and they are smarter than me. Dr. Paul has the wisdom and the courage of Moses. Since, I am not Rambo I have only one choice to follow Dr. Paul and hope that those in the belly of the beast will destroy it from within. If all these years those who's greed and thirst for power, plotted and killed to rule the world had plotted and planned to do good. It truly would have been a heaven on earth. Many like myself are still in shock and in morning for our future dreams denied, replaced with a reality of a hell fashioned by faceless elite who look to us as nothing more than cockroaches. If these are my last days then I shall use them as I choose.

I am ready to go unarmed to the streets and challenge anyone who challenges our liberty. If the women will lead in peaceful protest, perhaps the men will not have to resort to arms. WIll I see you in the streets? I am thinking wooden spoons would give us the right "Mom said to stop it, NOW" look.

I, for one, certainly don't think that. I stated in a previous post that they won't NEED the military at all, and in fact, it's better for them not to use the troops because so many of them would not agree to this.

I wonder how silly the people of Iraq would call this topic? Or Kosovo? Or Pakistan's democracy (overthrown with help from our government). Or the 60,000+ American soldiers who died in Vietnam because our government lied about the Gulf Of Tonkin? Or perhaps the Japanese-Americans interred during WWII?
