Joe's "superiors" to accept. I'm sad, because it was my "real"
look at our soldiers in Iraq. I was really starting to like his take
on things, but I guess I'm not surprised by this. Debating a guy
as obviously smart as CaptainJ0e certainly wasn't an attractive
option...

I'm still alive... Here's what happened. Some brain-washed, war-mongering neo-con submitted a formal complaint, along with my letter, to the Inspector General, and a few other officials. A congressional inquiry was opened and I was reprimanded. Then, another person in a similar position as mine posted a very revealing comment that I didn't want to be public (for now)...
What it came down to was: Considering my position in the Army, I did not want my actions to be misconstrued as a reflection of my superior's influence, points of view, or political opinions.
So, I made the blog private... at least until I move on to another job. Once I do, I think I'll make it public again. I am permitted 35 users (for free) to have read-access to my blog, so I still have a few open slots for anyone still interested in reading my thoughts. If there are more people requesting read-access than I have slots, I might consider paying money to have an unlimited number of users on my "white-list" of readers.

The WordPress.com blog-hosting service suffered a denial-of-service (DoS) attack that began Saturday and was still preventing users from logging in or posting to their blogs on Tuesday.
I don't think that's it...
I've hit wordpress blogs besides J0e's just fine over the past few days.

I just want to know what happened. If he'd deleted everything except one page saying that, I'd be happy. I'm just worried that my own generous sharing of the URL with neocons to annoy them may have gotten him in trouble for his speech. Oh well...

Into getting a login. Which I did, and J0e's blog still doesn't appear for me. I think his superiors forced him to remove the blog.
And I'll note for the record (as if it's any surprise...) that the troll-blog is still getting more attention than this issue. I'm sure Saul's speech is important, at least to Saul, but it's not as important to me as J0e's was. And his "superiors" should know that removing the Captain's thoughts didn't change my opinions in the least. Sigh.
