Sorry.. I gotta say it.
I was reading some posts on DP and listening to some random channel on TV. It happened to be some religious channel. There were two people on talking about the Apostle PAUL. Now, I do not believe in organized religion and do not believe they have a patent on the almighty. However, I do believe. In my own way. Some of the things these people were saying kinda made me think.
In describing the Apostle PAUL they said that he was a feisty, tell it like it is type of person. Considered to be a bit of a rabble rouser that was truly concerned about the well-being of his people... a great teacher.
I have studied several religions and my life has been quite a spiritual journey to say the least. Ever since I saw Ron Paul A New Hope I always wondered if we were seeing a modern day prophet in Dr. Paul. And what a coincidence that a man named PAUL rises out of nowhere to carry such a message. Doing it in a way that does not throw religion in your face. While those against him try to be holier than the next guy. Then ya look around and see the lies and the evil that seek to take him down. Then we struggle in getting the mesage out.
The money changers still rule today!
the guy just said about the Apostle PAUL... "In bringing his mesage he made steps through time..."
Is this weird? or what?

Oh you need to study more
Check out the story of Saul in the Old Testament. The finger of God wrote the laws of the Jewish people. God established the Priest and the Judges. The Priests were the appointed Authorities over the circumcised (A person was not born a Jew, They became a Jew by being circumcised 8 days after their birth). The Judges were the Appointed Authorities over the Stranger (A person who was not circumcised however if a stranger wanted to partake of the Passover he could get circumcised then he was considered a Jew). So they had one Law (Authority = God) two offices (Priest and Judges). One office was over the Jew. The other office was over the stranger). Then there was the Prophets they where the oracles of God (They were men that God used to speak through - Remember he used their mouth but it was his words coming out of them). The Priest and the Judges hated the Prophets and they killed them. They wanted a King like all the other countries had. See the Prophets could not be swayed they where only an oracle that God spoke through. They did not want to hear Gods amendments of his correction in keeping the Law they wanted to be the Law (Authority). So God let them select a King his name was Saul. If they had only known that God had already chosen a King for them his name was David. But they could not wait for God they wanted one now. Sound familiar?
Move forward to the New testament There was a man named Saul who was a member of the Sadducees (in other words he was a member of the Judges) He persecuted the Christians. As a matter of fact he held the peoples coats while they stoned Stephen after giving one of the best sermons in the bible (it is my favorite sermon). This same man was selected by Jesus to preach to the Gentiles. The very people he judged over in his previous job. He blinded him on the way to Damascus and changed his name to Paul.
In the Old Testament Saul means this in the Hebrew:
OT:7592 sha'al (shaw-al'); or sha'el (shaw-ale'); a primitive root; to inquire; by implication, to request; by extension, to demand:
NT:3972 Paulos (pow'-los); of Latin origin; (little; Humble; but remotely from a derivative of NT:3973, meaning the same); Paulus, the name of a Roman and of an apostle:
He changed him from inquiring and demanding to little and humble. Paul spent much of his life in prison and was beat and was even stoned yet he lived through it. And had a very loving heart. But if you did not want the truth he was not the man to ask cause he would tell you (He pulled no punches). He was very bold when he talked about Jesus Christ.
Actually...
Saul (Paul) was a Pharisee of Pharisees...or so he told the Sanhedrin (Acts 23:6). Not a Saducee. He believed in the resurrection and was very zealous for the Law. When he was converted, his zeal changed to the Lord and not the Law. And yes...he contended with people (he did not try to have a "dialog" with people...he spoke truth boldly). He was even described as a "pestilent fellow."
Yeah...I see some comparisons with Paul. While the message is not the Gospel, Dr. Paul is trying to enforce the Constitution, which would repeal all of the free speech bans that are taking place so that we could preach the Gospel anywhere.

Another thing. Who did Jesus throw out of the temple?
"My temple should be a house of God, but you have turned it into a den of thieves!"
Note: I am NOT suggesting Paul is God, or a prophet, or any other such nonsense. I am just noting there is some interesting religous symbolism, and it does make me wonder about certain things.

I'm not religous, but archetypes are interesting. Especially considering the fact that in many ways, America is now Rome to Israel, and the Zionists are much like the Pharisees.
You could say it is an analogy

Wow, that is amazing
I saw that same show and had the same thought. It was almost
like they were trying to get the word out or something.
I just happened to catch it while changing channels.
I think this was yesterday.

So do you believe
Do you believe in coincidence, or fate. It is coincidence if you ignore it, it is fate if you have faith.
get it?
That is why the faithful always find the meaning in the messages brought forth to them, and those without faith simply dismiss it.
"I once was lost but now im found, was blind but now I see."
The Seeds of Truth we Plant today will grow to be the Tree of Freedom tommorow.
I am glad I have my faith

Oh. I have faith.
Yesterday I was playing with my son's Magnetics and a thought occurred to me that couldn't the poles of a manget create perpetual motion. Then later that night I got an email from another group I subscriber to and this was in the mail.

I posted because another member had said that he had just had a dream about it. My faith tell me this word must spread.
consider this passage from Luke, chapter 20 (KJV):
"25 And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's."
This verse has been interpreted many ways, but I always saw it as a biblical way of expressing the wisdom of keeping the church and state separate. I agree Ron Paul is special, and perhaps even an answer to our prayers, but he's a statesman, not a prophet. He's a political leader, not a spiritual one. It's best we all remember that.
Where have YOU been?
"..a man named PAUL rises out of nowhere.." you're talking about a 10 term Christian congressman. For your further edification: Apostle Paul was a lawyer and worked for the Sadducees. Ron Paul is a medical doctor and works for We the People. Now go to bed, get some rest -tomorrow is Presidents Day.
Bear witness, ye faithful!
The flesh is but a vessel of the message and intent that indeed reverberates throughout the passage of time. Apostle Paul, St. Paul, Gandalf; the embodiment of the ideal has been known by many names, and with each successive iteration comes a re-telling of the story of the Phoenix: the dissolution of those who would bring us harm and the return from the ashes to peace and prosperity, sound money, a sensible foreign policy, and the idea that we can be free AND alive! Ever watchful is the eye of the enemy, yet in our minds we carry the fate that is all, the seed to nurture a new way forward, and in our minds they can never stray...
With this declaration of hope I pray my fellow Patriots never lose heart for the trials ahead. Whatever may come, I remember the words of one departed whom I miss every day, and which gives me everlasting comfort:
"Fu¢k 'em up their stupid @sses. Ain't nobody telling ME what to think!"
For Liberty!!
Oh Come On Now...................
Don't make him out to be a savior or prophet or reincarnation of St.Paul.
He came from a good family that raised him right. Case closed
Interesting analysis
I do believe Ron Paul is an inspirational figure and that he may be instrumental in waking the majority up. Nothing happens by accident and this awakening has been predicted for a long time. I have studied all religions and I believe there is a war on our consciousness. What is happening is so much more than just politics. We collectively have chosen a moral leader for the future of this country. We collectively are choosing to wake up to get back on the right path. We have been lost. May we be blessed on this journey. March on soldiers!
Peace and light
Not strange at all, my friend.
I think it was Paul who God sent to preach to the Gentiles. Could not have been a much easier sell than Dr Paul trying to persuade a group of 300 million children that they need to be responsible adults. The apostle Paul and Dr Paul do have similarities in their message: If you don't stop effing up, things are not going to be pretty. God bless them both!
bigger things going on here then meets the eye thats for sure!
he who laughs last laughs hardest! I try to pray for the good mislead people of the world but not the neocon christian zionists that would bring the end days to pass if they had thier way!them people may not be on the right track or they are not heading the same way as I am ???

The one that jumps to my mind is Huckabee. I am always reminded of Hitler when he speaks of "his faith."
Remnant
have you read Isaiah's Job?
This?
If a prophet were not too particular about making money out of his mission or getting a dubious sort of notoriety out of it, the foregoing considerations would lead one to say that serving the Remnant looks like a good job. An assignment that you can really put your back into, and do your best without thinking about results, is a real job; whereas serving the masses is at best only half a job, considering the inexorable conditions that the masses impose upon their servants. They ask you to give them what they want, they insist upon it, and will take nothing else; and following their whims, their irrational changes of fancy, their hot and cold fits, is a tedious business, to say nothing of the fact that what they want at any time makes very little call on one’s resources of prophesy. The Remnant, on the other hand, want only the best you have, whatever that may be. Give them that, and they are satisfied; you have nothing more to worry about. The prophet of the American masses must aim consciously at the lowest common denominator of intellect, taste and character among 120,000,000 people; and this is a distressing task. The prophet of the Remnant, on the contrary, is in the enviable position of Papa Haydn in the household of Prince Esterhazy. All Haydn had to do was keep forking out the very best music he knew how to produce, knowing it would be understood and appreciated by those for whom he produced it, and caring not a button what anyone else thought of it; and that makes a good job.
This is weird to:
Also the Republican National Convention is in St. Paul.
There are no coincidences. We are a collective mind with one goal. I believe the Almighty hears our hearts desires. (If it's too late? That we will see.)
I am also no fan of organized religion, but I do believe in the love bestowed on us by our Creator.
St. Paul? Holy Cr@p!
Yeah. I am a bit bugged out now. We should start a thread of coincidences so that we may see the master plan becausse all I know is that I HAVE CHANGED and there is NO GOING BACK NOW! I am a father and it is my duty.
Not weird...
We all have our moments of truth...Did the tiny hairs raise on your arms...it always does for me.
