Finally! Constitution Wins, GOP Fearmongering Loses In Terror War

House Democrats Stand Firm and Refuse to Reward Telecom Firms With Immunity From Lawsuits for Turning Over Customer Records to the Government Without Court Warrants, in Violation of the Fourth Amendment; GOP Walkout Proves Beyond Doubt Republicans' Disregard for the Bill of Rights in the War on Terror .

Each and every one of those House Republicans who participated in Thursday's walkout -- and, for that matter, every senator up for re-election who voted to deny the American people their constitutional right to seek redress for the telecoms' violation of their privacy rights -- should be tossed out of office in this November's election.

We must throw out as many incumbants as we can and replace them with RP Repubs.
Please people do your homework on this before Nov.

can you also...

make a list of Who to Vote Into Office to replace the bozos above?
...please

Ok, so who's filing the suit?

We all know they're still monitoring our telecom traffic, so if anybody is a class action lawyer, start the process.

I believe the EFF has filed

I believe the EFF has filed suit, I will look and find a link

Have the courage to admit it when the dems get one right

Christopherx don't be entranced by party ideology.
Have the courage to see who ever steps up
to the plate for civil liberties. (This doesn't
mean your list still isn't correct.)

i will not...

pet a dog that bites the hand that feeds it...whatever party it is...for neither of them sound like a "party" to me...

Supporting Dems???

have you forgotten already what the Dems will do to this country?
1-no tax will be big enough
2-forgotten Waco already?
3-forgotten Bill's giving over our national parks to the UN?
4-forgotten that Clinton made our military personell wear baby blue UN caps?
5-forgotten that Bill signed the Millenium Summit that puts all international entities under UN control?
6-forgotten that they want a UN international tax on the internet(Obama)?
7-forgotten that it was Bill that up'ed the police force and trained them under Janet Reno?

come on guys....keep your eyes wide open...

Not to mention that little thing called

NAFTA that B Clinton signed off on and has been a disaster to the middleclass and has paved the way for the NAU.
The North American Union is up next for Obama/Clinton if we allow them to get elected.

How about all of assaults on the Bill of Rights that they have rolled over on including the Patriot Acts 1 and 2, since nine-eleven.
And still no weapons of mass destruction have been found in Iraq.
These things are not going to go away on the chance that Obama/Clinton get elected.

I could make an equally

I could make an equally damning list towards the current Republicans in power and to be in power, they all have to go, then we can get true Republicans back in power at a later date.

Good points

BUT I think we all need to recognize that BOTH parties have been active participants in the shredding of the Constitution. Party loyalty is, or should be, OVER. This is about OUR country, not a brand name.

;)

so could i...

that is why we are here...for the Constitution and for Ron Paul...

All of that is still preferable to

McCain..!

none is preferrable....except...

that the governments live up to their oath of office and fulfill the contract with the citizens. that contract is the uS Constitution.

That provision would have probably been struck down.

A blatant example of an ex-post facto law..

Pchanson, that is non-sense...

If the Democratically controlled House didn't step up to the plate. That bill would be law. However, we need to KEEP the pressure on...

In Christ,
Dave

I wonder

who would strike it down? His appointees in the Supreme Court?

I don't think so...

..they are now moving away from it. Just recently, the waterboarding case. They ruled that it is unconstitutional.

Well I hate to say it

Bravo to the democrats that seem to be the only ones other than Ron Paul and a hand full of other republicans that will stand up to the administration and do not fear the war mongering tyrant Bush!

I think its time to

to replace these republicans, except RP, of course. They've been there for the longest time they grew horns and tails. It's time to clip them.

Kudos to Dems this time. They got the balls to go against the flow.

Wire tapping

JM
It seems we might see some fairness in congress if they prevent the Bush Admin. from illegally wire tapping and monitoring our internet activities. Don't think for a minute that this isn't happening, because it is. Everyone that has a phone or internet connection has been monitored by our Fed. Gov. since before 9/11. God bless Ron Paul

I want that list of all who

I want that list of all who walked out. For sure. They are all being paid off.

I was

watching C-Span when they STAGED the walkout....they walked out, not in protest of the Dems refusal to argue the FISA bill, they walked out because the House was about to take up contempt citations on Harriet Meiers and Josh Bolton....

http://www.youtube.com/wa...

Note the podium awaiting them on the steps...HAHAHHAA!!! What a joke...

Isn't it funny

that this congress was elected to stop the president...and yet this is the first time they have stood up against these unconstitutional bills? It's important to note that they aren't against the wiretapping itself, they are against retroactive immunity provisions. Ask yourself: if the telecoms did nothing illegal, why would they need immunity from prosecution??

And John is 100% correct--we have and ARE being monitored.

Which brings up this next:

http://www.petitiononline...

We must all sign this petition AND write to our representatives. This bill must not be allowed to pass! It is the latest in a series of legislation to seriously undermine our Constitutional rights.

In a nutshell, this bill would allow our discourse here to be deemed as terrorism! Yep--read the bill and POLITICAL agendas fall under their decription of "terrorism".
