The new faces eyeing the Republican Party are seen as a threat to the old guard.
......the cooperation fizzled on Jan. 4 when party leadership realized Mr. Stainbrook had enough central committee candidates (Ron Paul Supporters) to take over the party............
This must be replicated everywhere.

I am the old ...
Guard of the Republican party, and would not even think of voting for anyone other than Ron Paul. This American citizen, ex-military (Air Force) will not choose any other Republican, or Democrat over Ron Paul.
McCain is a joke, and all the military, and Vets despise him. I have been a Republican for over 35 years, and the true conservatives like me will do what is right eventually, and will vote for Ron Paul if he is still in the running come November 2008, please pass that on.
I hate to keep harping on the Campaign staff
but look a what at opportunity we missed on college campuses. Talk about energy and passion! Look at Univ. of Tx in particular. Ron Paul has had several family members attend and graduate from UT. Now it looks like to me, that if an early effort would have been made to go in and make the UT campus and student base Ron Paul "ambassadors", something tells me they could deliver Texas for Ron Paul.
To alaney: What about FRAUD?
It just doesn't seem to matter if we have the "numbers" of people, if the machines are rigged by the owners of the companies, or by a bribed technician of a company. What are the odds of this happening?
HIGH...there is no way Dr. Paul placed 5th in New Hampshire. There is no way California tabulations were almost identical in percentages district after district, and there was obvious manipulation and fraud in Louisiana.
So, what difference does it make?
The problem is simple
Back when the real campaigning needed to start, last summer and fall, Ron Paul had *NO IDEA* that he would eventually raise $37 million for this campaign. He had no idea at all and by the time the money really started pouring in, late in the fall and early winter, it was getting to be late. Just think if the precinct leader program had started last July instead of the last week of December. Just think if phone calling had begun in the summer, as well as campus leader programs and the like.
Ron Paul has said a hundred times or more that he had no idea his message would actually gain many supporters. He has stated many times that he was, at the beginning, pretty much pessimistic, he thought that no one would respond to the campaign. Of course he also says he is overjoyed that people are responding.
Even if we end up dead last in votes, consider:
a) how many people now know about the Federal Reserve and money being created out of thin air.
b) how many young people are getting involved in Constitutional politics (as opposed to the starry-eyed does that follow Obama around and faint over his empty rhetoric)
Many people have been working for decades to expose the federal reserve, and in one short year we have reached MILLIONS of people, planting a little seed that will grow in time to bear great fruit.
No matter how you size it up, this campaign has been and shall continue to be a tremendous success.
if you can't dream your way out of a paper bag,
then there is no way in hell you could visualize a dream in which we used our fucking i-magi-nations, our skills, our logic & our numbers show up at voting booths in swarms like this,
if we bring the numbers, there will be BE ABSOL-FUCKING-LUTELY NO WAY TO HIDE THE CONSPIRACY..
THAT IS OUR GOAL.
starting at UT austin WOULD HAve been an incredible start. but we've got to get PAST THAT.
we have three goals right now:
#1 use sheer genius to get this message virally implanted in the mass consciousness.
#2 use sheer genius to get the truth out about MCCAIN, HILLARY, & OBAMA HUSSEIN
#3 USE SHEER GENIUS TO PROCURE 400,000 GOOD SIGNATURES FROM CALIFORNIA VOTERS BY MID-JUNE TO GET A BILL FOR FULL ON MARIJUANA LEGALIZATION IN CALIFORNIA ON THE PUBLIC BALLOT IN THEIR NEXT ELECTION.
EASY.
lets work on this together. =)
I don't know what the "old
I don't know what the "old guard" is so worried about. We're probably more conservative than they are.
THAT
Is what they are worried about. The OLD guard is really the neocons now. It isn't the "real" Old Guard. They are the ones who have stolen the party. We are the "real" old guard. We are what the Republican party is suppose to be.
Doing it in CA too.
In my county in California the Central Committee seats have lately been uncontested. That means x seats have x or less people running for them. If you do the paperwork and get a trivial number of signatures you win by default. Actually everyone who applies wins. Talk about an easy and cheap campaign! No filling fee. 2-3 hours work and you're in. Here you can have a victory party March 7th. No need to wait for any voting. Call your local elections office and get the on with it. Take over the party from the Neocons.
"There's nothing we can do to change it!"
Well, the fact that dedicated people have been able to turn the country to socialism, and the prelude to the Revolutionary War say otherwise.
It is, however, non-trivial. The typical approaches certainly have little effect. You mentioned some, such as show up to the "public meetings". Play their game their way and you lose. (This is not to say that people should stop doing that. They have to play their games because of that pressure. Because they have to play their games, they are slowed down, which is desirable.)
There have been some specific victories in the last year or two. Recent ones include shooting down the McCain-Kennedy amnesty bill that was being railroaded through Congress under the radar. Talk radio was instrumental in getting enough pressure put on Washington to shut down the bill. The Dubai port deal is another example.
However, until there is enough general education to get good, educated people into office and thus change the prevailing value systems in Washington, it will always be an uphill battle.
About a hundred years ago the communists were open about wanting to take over one or both political parties. They succeeded with the Democrat party, and have been highly successful in neutralizing the Republican party by splitting it internally.
Utah is a great example of the Republican party largely being taken over by statists (old media). I can tell some stories that have happened before my eyes that will make you tear your hair out. However, there are some good stories, too, because there is a lot of "grass roots" activity that keeps the party from being overtly "democrat light", and who also can bring effective pressure to bear on the state legislature.
That is where I've seen "the People" be most effective here in Utah. It's easier to get good people in State offices than Federal offices, and good people can have a direct impact.
Also, one the local level (city, etc.) there's a lot of good that can be done. Some of the biggest problems of statism are not from the Federal government, but cities out of control. Cities get really overt in their goodie exchange. They'll gladly raise taxes, confiscate property and hand it over to big companies or developers, shut down business, tie people's hands with rules and regulations, etc. If it increases their power, brings in money (thinking it's power), they'll gladly do it with a smile. (TTC is an example)
I've seen a single good person willing to put up with being the "black sheep" in office throw a horrible wrench in a city's activities because he consistently said, "No." Things didn't stop, but they slowed down. With two other good people willing to say, "no" in office in that city council, they would have brought the "Statist Express" to a dead halt.
Great Article!
This is what the DP is really all about. Thanks for posting this article.

BREAKING NEWS!! Ralph Nader is running now!
WASHINGTON - Ralph Nader said Sunday he will run for president as a third-party candidate, criticizing the top White House contenders as too close to big business and pledging to repeat a bid that will "shift the power from the few to the many."
Nader, 73, said most people are disenchanted with the Democratic and Republican parties due to a prolonged Iraq war and a shaky economy. The consumer advocate also blamed tax and other corporate-friendly policies under the Bush administration that he said have left many lower- and middle-class people in debt.
"You take that framework of people feeling locked out, shut out, marginalized and disrespected," he said. "You go from Iraq, to Palestine to Israel, from Enron to Wall Street, from Katrina to the bumbling of the Bush administration, to the complicity of the Democrats in not stopping him on the war, stopping him on the tax cuts."
"In that context, I have decided to run for president," Nader told NBC's "Meet the Press."
This might just maybe HELP DOCTOR PAUL...ya think???
He can only split the
He can only split the Democratic vote further.
Now, Bloomberg would certainly make it interesting!
I've said all along, that we have History in the making here.
Hang on folks and document your participation for your grandchildren and great grandchildren to read!
QUESTION:
What is Bloomberg's platform - I know nothing - or where can it be found?
Nader's is at: votenader.org
Bloombergs' party ...
is called GREED.
WHAT ABOUT US?!
I am not done yet.... http://www.youtube.com/wa...
old verses new members
Let us send and e-mail or a letter *****and ask the establishment members of the republican party and to *****the local media in our own city or state and even the national media a few questions;
Let us ask what is it that you dislike about my favorite republican presidential candidate Ron Paul.
Is it because he has been elected to congress and served 10 terms and never voted to raise taxes?
Is it because he has never voted for an unbalanced budget?
Is it because he has never voted to raise congressional pay?
Is it because he has never taken a government paid junket?
Is it because he has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch?
Is it because he never voted to regulate or tax the internet?
Is it because he does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program?
Is it because he is the only member of congress that compares legislation to the U.S. Constitution and The Bill of Rights and votes against legislation that violate them?
Is it because he does not take donations and perks from lobbiest?
Is it because he has received more donations from the military members than the top .....4 candidates put together" ............ that are still in this presidential race?
Are these the reasons you have not supported Ron Paul?
Why do you feel that way?
If those are not the reasons, what are the reasons you have not supported Ron Paul the only real constitutional patriot running for president?
*********
Are any of you willing to send a letter like this?
The purpose of sending a letter with these Questions is not (NOT) to get negative responses, but to help them know that they actually agree with Ron Paul more than they realized before they read your letter. and at the end of the letter ask ...........would you please ..........(FOR THE NEW MEDIA) Put out Ron Paul press releases and give him as much coverage as the candidates with the views that are just the *************** opposite of his ********** such as Obama, Hillary, McCain, Huckabee,
Kill and resurrect afterwards...
The old GOP must now die and be resurrected again.
"He who exercises government by means of his virtue may be compared to the north polar star, which keeps its place and all the stars turn towards it." Confucius
We are working on the resurrection
I think. Given the turn-out at the most of the primaries the Republicans are in the minority and on the run. McCain can't win. I don't think we need to wait until the actually dissolve. What remains should be converted to the RP platform. If you are in it for the long term then start the takeover now.
Awesome!
Needed that, thanks! : )

The lesser of two evils is still evil!
A few days ago...
there was an article in our local paper in Southern Oregon, that the Oregon Republican party was almost $300,000 in debt, and that they were downsizing to a smaller office. That explains why they haven't answered my emails stating that if the GOP doesn't rally behind Dr. Paul, that the GOP is dead. Long live the revolution!!!!!!!!!!!
they can't afford stamps.
:)

Great article. Real
Great article. Real Americans need to take the Republican Party back to the Libertarian roots that will ensure growth for the next century. As it stands now, the GOP is headed the way of the Whigs.
I'm glad I found it...
are there any more stories like this out there? I know Alaska did something very simular.
I'm like another poster here - I've shot daggers back to GOP
when the send an email for money. They even complained about the "biased media". I almost howled!!! That was so funny - well, you can imagine how I responded!
"ie I'm leaving the GOP unless or until you include Ron Paul..."
Also told them I would not give to RNC but would evaluate each candidate, local, state, or federal, and contribute individually to those who's ideas and philosopies of a free society based on the Constitution, mirrored my own.
I would rather have my vote count for something than count for nothing!
This is awesome...
This needs to be done everywhere.
How do you get on a ballot?
Become a precinct leader or contact yours...
start at your meetup.
Great job!
Always good to hear!
This is Awesome! Way to Go
This is Awesome! Way to Go Ohio! Need to duplicate this across the State!
Also, don't forget to canvass and become a delegate.
See my other thread for details.
This Just In - Los Angeles County California
I just got a call to action for Los Angeles County. They're looking for people to fill all the Republican Central Committee slots in LA.
Historically, only 4 out of 27 districts were even contested.
I'm not going to post his phone number here, but if you're in LA and interested, contact Robert Vaughn (if you can't find him through the California precinct captains pages over at the campaign site, e-mail me).
As linked above, it can be done.
IMissLiberty
I might be interested as well
Are we talking monthly meetings or what? Any other details? Just to clarify, Vaughn is an RP precinct captain in LA?
Important enough for a separate thread...
Please start.
ljrdxyh R U in Ohio
I am in Lansing MI, looking for someone to take a bunch of our surplus Ron Paul material in Ohio.
No I'm not. But go ahead and start your own thread.
Thanks!
Chrissie Hynde, are you watching this?
You guys are real Americans: self-motivated, hard-working and ingenious. The Country is paying attention and likes what it sees. Keep going Ohio!
I hope she is...

HERE'S ONE BIG FAT BUMP FOR YA!
This is great news and very inspiring!
There are too many threads telling us to donate - here's one where those that have maxed out can actually make a difference long term.

Thanks for the bump.
I really enjoyed reading how this was a movement and that yes, we are taking over.....let the neocons run 3rd party, we are keeping this one!
