Family and I canvassed more than 2,000 homes in my district - it was a pretty large district but we managed to canvass most of it. I kept on hoping that all the hard work would pay off - well, today I finally was able to measure if it did.
My precinct is surrounded by two other precincts - all three precincts are basically mirror images of each other in terms of size, income, demographics, etc. I know for a fact that there were not any precinct leaders in the neighboring precincts and except for a few yard signs here and there and some signs we placed by the roads, not much was done there.
The results? We received 84% more votes for Ron Paul in my district than in the neighboring districts.
Canvassing works!!!! This is priority one! Then become a delegate (stealth or otherwise).
UPDATE: Unfortunately, I wasn't enlightened to the joys of canvassing until there were only a couple of weeks left before our primary - y'all have time though. The hardest part was turning the computer off and leaving the comfort zone that DP provides. It was scary ringing that first doorbell - but by the fifth door, I was completely at ease - very little negative response.

We need a great groundswell of support!
This will make the delegate deal at the Convention very palatable to the people. No one will be able to say that RP didn't have majority support. I think this is important even if they originally voted for Rudy or Romney or whoever----they can 'wish they had known.' We need to make this the winning team that everybody wants to cheer for! We can be that, whereas Huck has some serious problems for a lot of people.
This is another brilliant reason for a HUGE MARCH on Washington-----We need to show numbers-----numbers shape popular opinion.

Becuase it takes TIME to inform them.
My flyer barrage in my town was a dud! 1500 and got 30 votes. TV spots and newspaper ads don't cut it. Pretty much anyone I was able to talk to at length became a supporter.

The MSM wants us to believe that our neighbors are dangerous. Thru years of springer, the news, and reality shows we lost faith in ourselves. It was nice going out canvassing and meeting my neighborhood. It built my faith back in America. But all you guys, as I have said before, cured my apathy. I have seen the free American mind. It is astounding. It makes me believe that we can still live as a free people responsible enough to take care of our brothers and sisters. WE can solve any problem
And for you conspiracy theorists. If something does happen your neighbors are who you want on your side. You showed yourselves to be honest and hard working for the sake of truth. That will not be forgotten.

How much have you canvassed?
The key is identifying other Ron Paul supporters to help you - Ask to leave yard signs on their lawn and invite them to canvass with you.....2 things - the more people you speak to, the better - spend no more than 10 min with a supporter - don't try to convince anyone - and leave them a copy of Ron Paul's newspaper.

Although I ran out of time and wasn't able to cover it entirely, I canvassed most of my precinct and Ron Paul got 21%.
