Found In A Pool of Blood
A Shreveport police officer has been fired after an incident in which a female prisoner taken into custody on suspicion of DWI wound up lying on a floor at the police station in a pool of blood.
Much of what happened was recorded on a videotape -- but there is a gap of undetermined length. During that time, the woman wound up injured. She said she was beaten up; the officer said she fell.
You can tell that he was slamming her against the walls and she probaly fell and smacked her head. He had to punch her too becuase the black eyes wouldnt be caused by a flat surface. I will never allow a cop to put me in handcuffs after the last few incidents. They like to shackle you up and beat on your defenseless body.
You will see a rise in off duty officers being injured. The people you beat on will retaliate wether thru courts or old school eye for eye justice. The police will have to watch their backs from now on. We will not allow women and children to be assaulted by crooked law enforcement. Its time to hit back.

JUSTICE WOULD BE
LIKE ANY SEX OFFENDER
HE SHOULD BE PUT ON A LIST CALLED : POLICE BRUTALITY
HE SHOULD BE TRACKED. PEOPLE SHOULD KNOW WHERE HE IS WORKING.
HE SHOULD BE TREATED LIKE ANY CRIMINAL!
THANK YOU FOR KEEPING ON THIS CRIME! I READ ABOUT IT AND BECAME COMPLETELY ALARMED. HERE IN New York:
A coworker from Rockaway told me of a story: basically if you try and speak to an officer they see it as resisting an officer. The 5 foot women was cuffed, thrown in jail and the officers REMOVED HER CLOTHS. SHE WAS NAKED IN JAIL AND CUFFED. THEY DEGRADED HER.
WHEN DID OUR POLICE FORCE GET ORDERS TO TREAT CITIZENS LIKE ANIMALS TO BE DEGRADED AND BEATEN?

I've always been treated well. But it is wise to watch......
I have made my family & friends watch this several times so they know what to do.
http://www.youtube.com/wa...
I have several friends who are cops. Their biggest problem is they always see the worst people and suspect we are all nuts. So they hang together, drink together, stay away from us.
But then they are trained that way too.
Also they recruit people who like the power.
But I must say I've met some of the nicest people who really do care and know you aren't the bad guy. Just don't get smartass!
My fear is they don't pay good and recruit from the military. Those guys and gals are coming back from Iraq severely damaged. Used to firing on civilians etc.
We can expect a crueler police force because of this for decades!
Anyway, do yourself a favor and watch the movie.
Then realize that only the constitution is, only just, stopping us being a police state.

Coming soon...
If communities in the US continue to tolerate, encourage, and then overlook police abuse, we can get a sense for what is coming to us and our children. If nothing else, it's a sad commentary on the relationship between the people and government in many parts of the world, and a sadder commentary on the quick subordination of basic human decency when agents of the state are given both opportunity and incentive:

I am infuriated
What exactly did this woman do ?
How come she was not allowed to make a simple phone call ?
What threat did she pose ?
Why did the officer, turn off the camera ?
I sure hope this woman hires the best damn attorney she can find and sue the HELL out of the city, and the officer.
That officer is a criminal with a badge. He brutally attacked this woman. It would surprise me if he has done this before.
Where is this woman's father, husband or boy friend ? someone needs to come to this girl's defense.
Aren't you all mad as HELL !!
Two black eyes from a flat surface is possible
When your nose gets broken, the bleeding pools around your eye sockets. The lack of swelling and symmetry of the discoloration around the woman's eyes leads me conclude that that aspect of her discoloration was entirely due to an impact to the nose or a serious contusion just above that area.
A single fall doesn't account for the other bruising on her face, however. Her general demeanor didn't show the lack of control that would be necessary to account for a fall that devastating, even when handcuffed. (Yeah, I know, no one's disputing that the cop beat her up, but I threw in the comment about how most (not all) of the discoloration could have been from a single impact so I had to go on to state the obvious just so no one accuses me of taking the cop's side.)
A lot of people are concerned...
... about misdirecting our discontent towards all of the good people who serve in law enforcement who don't deserve to be blamed for the disgraceful actions a few "bad apples."
But I ask...
Where are all of those good people?
Where are they when their buddies are beating up defenseless people and accusing the innocent of crimes which were never commited?
What do they do when they hear their co-workers brag about what they have done?
What do all of these good people do when they are told to violate the Constitution by their superiors?
They sure as hell don't ever tell us about it.
The actions of a small few
The disgusting actions of a small few can not be compared to the actions of the larger group of the law abiding and professionals. I have seen a lot of law enforcement/ military hating on different sites lately, and I just thought I'd remind all of you that there are quite of a few state, local, and federal law enforcment officers and military professionals who believe in the freedom movement and restoring the republic, me being one of them.
It's often said in the police community that "everyone hates a cop, until they need one." Most law enforcement officials are just doing their everyday jobs and uphold the laws of the states and municipalities that we reside in ourselves. After all we live in the community too. And many of us military members, although we may not always agree with policy, are just trying to serve honorably for a our nation and its ideals.
So I ask, please show some respect for those of us who do our job legitimatly. The atrocious actions of a few can never be excused. But realize that there is a vast majority of cops and military men and women who are doing their jobs with honor everyday, many of whom love liberty, to serve and protect.
you don't get it...
when the job itself requires you to violate peoples constitutional rights (enforcing unconstitutional laws) then doing the job makes you part of the problem!
Just doing the job
A few points:
My concern is that the jobs cops are asked to do moves from the lawful, to that desired by those in power, to the entirely intimidating and unlawful. Will good officers like yourself walk away from their position rather than continue their "duties" as their mission shifts? As we see tasers as devices of fear and torture, the paramilitarization of many police departments, and daily cases of outright abuse by officers, it's hard to keep the public trust:

As an officer of the law, I would be particularly concerned with replacement of your function in the years to come by private organizations (like Blackwater), much as we saw previewed in New Orleans. I would also ask your union to try to get a cash buyout that you can actually invest yourself for future retirement benefits. The economic circumstances facing many communities may make the promises made to you untenable for your city or town to keep. Please see this example, sure to be a start of many similar stories in the months to come:
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi...
Agreed.
We hate it when RP supporters are stereotyped and we shouldn't do the same to police. The vast majority of police are just doing there jobs and not going out of their way to illegally mess with people.
Another thing to consider, in my opinion, is the culture of violence that exists throughout our society. We are simply awash in guns, up to our necks in fantastical violent "entertainment", perpetuate a judicial and penal system that tolerates it, give complete support to a military machine, and are witness to wholesale domestic violence. We should not be surprised if violence is a tool of our police system. It would be shocking if it were not true. Police are as immersed in this mess as we are.
The comments below advocating violence simply reinforce my observations.
The vast majority of police
participate in, and even enjoy, circling the wagons when one of them does something wrong. Protecting or enjoying others' abuse of authority makes a cop a bad cop, in my mind. You can't trust sadists or cowards with authority over the public.
With all do respect...
I am a former Army Paratrooper...Please do not try an equate cops with soldiers. How come the "good cops" never say a word about the bad apples? You-Tube is full of videos showing cops violating the rights of citizens. I watched a cop handcuff a skinny young kid to a police car and then beat him with his stick...the kid was not attempting to resist at all. His crime...skateboarding in a vacant lot. My view of cops is that if they weren't cops...thay would be working the drive-up window at Burger King. Cops lost my respect a long time ago. I would say that 90% of the cops in the country would wash out in days from the military...most cops I see are fat and woefully out of shape. They would not last a day in the military. And, if they copped an attitude with the average paratrooper...they would suffer an severe ass whipping. That is why they are cops and not soldiers.
Fascist Shift
I see this as a systemic problem, not one in which prosecution of so-called rogue cops is sufficient to address the underlying issue.
The neighborhood policing of decades ago has largely been replaced with paramilitary approaches that favor the protection and unquestioned authority of the executive's agents, the police. It's one of the reasons that many departments even refer to citizens as "civilians", as if the police were some kind of military organization. Last time I checked, they were supposed to be civilians too.
While clear thinking individual officers with a dose of empathy and an understanding of the consequences of unfettered police power on rights and community are the "good cops" discussed here, these are becoming the exception. It's not individual officers who are broadly creating law enforcement priorities. I would recommend Naomi Wolf's The End of America, in which she argues that this nation shows signs of being in fascist shift similar to that seen by other nations in history, partially including:
Wolf talks about curtailing citizen's assembly and expression, something many supporters here have talked about or experienced. I recommend the following summary of her argument:
http://www.huffingtonpost...
One final thought: Individuals with the need for self-worth found in authority and power over others will increasingly be drawn to police work, especially if society refuses to crack down on outright police abuse of individual citizens. This will not bode well for the prevalence of "good cops" in our police departments over time.
RE: I've read a lot of forums, word for word...
While I agree with most of what this poster is saying, I'm troubled by the European spelling I've seen in this post and others. Makes me think these could be people from anywhere in the world making things up.
100% American
Sorry about the spelling, once I get rolling I don't grab a dictionary as I should. However I can verify everything I write. "Prove all things; hold fast to that which is good." 1 Thessalonians 5:21
Hmmm
Maybe I don't get what your saying, but the video speaks for itself, no?
So now we start attacking people over their supposed spelling skills? No way.
I've read a lot of forums, word for word...
but this is, without a doubt and to put it mildly, the most intense round of discussion I have ever seen. This is the end: Americans fighting Americans.
Back in January of this year a group of Ron Paul supporters were kicked off a cable car in San Francisco by the Obama supporting cable car driver. They were met by the police. The police said the Ron Paul supporters could continue riding public transportation but were not allowed to carry any political material with them. When asked what provision of law excluded the Ron Paul supporters the San Francisco police spokesman publicly stated: "I am the law." This is called "fiat law" or "facism".
Further investigation revealed that not one single San Francisco police officer or Sheriff has the following criteria as mandated under the thrust of law:
An oath of office (Sworn duty to uphold the State and Federal Constitutions)
Scope certification (psychological evaluation)
Loyalty check (to make sure the officer is not working for a foreign principle or political subdivision)
Apptitude evaluation (basic reading and writing skills)
Insurance
Drivers license
Commercial Crime Bond
Delegation of authority to collect taxes (the fine that the court levies on you is a tax)
The so-called police have unknowingly been turned into a street gang. Both have a uniform, an unspoken code of protecting their 'turf', and using force, right or wrong, to "send a message". I have watched first hand "police" deal drugs, sell confiscated weapons back onto the street, car jack, kidnapping, torture, assault, extort, conduct illegal searches and siezures, blackmail, murder and engage in racketeering. The only distinctive difference between today's police and a street gang is that they are rivals. If they fulfilled the above-said criteria their role as a criminal syndicate and rogue operation would immediatley cease. They could then resume their role as a public servant to protect and serve the general public.
Throughout history soldiers and police have taken the heat for the enforcement of unpopular laws. If the police would bother to understand that they are pawns and expendable they would wake up to this reality and refuse to conduct illegal ID checkpoints, unlawful tax siezures, confiscation of private property and the infringement of the rights of "We the People". They are making themselves targets. I sure don't want to be around when the collapse comes.
The good news is I have spoken to a lot of police officers and, though they don't support or subscribe to the criteria I mentioned I do see them help some people who are in genuine need. It is frustrating work and by design they see only some of the worst of society. I ask my fellow Americans to go on a ride along with an officer for a day and just quietly observe. An officer is also required to know basic first aid and CPR. This will give you pause if you ever are in a tribunal that requires you to make a sound judgement about a police officer's behaviour.
I read recently that it took 60 years before the Chief of Police of Paris was brought to justice for not only helping the German Gestapo arrest, interogate, torture and murder his fellow Frenchmen but for taking his own initiative and committing seditious acts on his own. Read the rest of this forum for some most enlightening exchanges and see if we can work together to repeal the criminally psychotic laws that the bankers, attornies and politicians have conspired to implement by using the police as their enforcers, and, should the police refuse - INTERPOL mercenaries.
Whaa???
I'm not about to defend the San Fran PD as I know nothing about them personally. But are you trying to say that not one officer of the SFPD has insurance OR a driver's liscence? C'mon sounds a little far fetched to me. Do you fact check this garbage or just cut and paste your post?
Should you ever be involved in a traffic stop in the U.S.
ask the officer for his or her license, proof of insurance, bond, etc. I'll give you one guess what the result will be. Until then you are welcome to prove any of the aforesaid facts are unsubstantiated.
Yeah, the result would be
Yeah, the result would be either a butt-kicking or arrest for 'making an officer of the law nervous'.

Violence against the Police isn't the answer.
Holding the individual responsible for their actions is.
Responsibility
The responsibility lies with government for creating laws and enabling protections that enable this kind of situation in the first place.
Yes - there are thug cops. The largest thug, though, is our government.
How are you going to this
How are you going to this when they'll put you behind bars for nothing. They got that right now fro Bush. Trust the Police and the Judicial system, in normal circumstances yes, but now, I'm not so sure.
I don't either,
We have only delt with two government officials (one Police Officer and one other type) that I thought were fascists, but that was two more than I'd have liked. (that having been said, most of the police officers I've dealt with have been quite helpful). Later, at the state Fair, I saw a Native American booth with some CD's , tapes , and t-shirts. One of them said " If you want to know why people don't trust the government, ask an Indian!' I laughed at the irony of the situation.

Cops are feeling more and more empowered to pull this kind of behavior. Get arrested and see what kind of rights you have. Even if you are innocent! There is a pattern emerging as more and more cops show their disregard for citizens rights. You should be scared, very scared.

Being scared - or applying fear to yourself never accomplishes any goals...

Open Letter To Tens Of Thousands Of Rouge Cops
On February 23rd, 2008 xxonice says:
Open Letter To The Tens
Of Thousands Of Rogue Cops
Jim Kirwan
2-17-8
Your numbers may be growing among the millions of people wearing some kind of badge in the United States, but your days are numbered. Not because of any direct threat from people like me; no what I'm talking about here is the threat that you are creating all by yourselves. If you had been paying attention you would have seen this coming on your own.
What the military and the mercenaries are doing in Iraq and Afghanistan each of you is now doing here, in your own tiny little world so full of arrogance and basic brutality. Every time you beat a man senseless, or shame a woman to tears in front of her loved ones, or randomly kill someone either by accident or by design it happens just because you can - so you make more than enemies - you plant the seeds of your own violent end.
Have you ever seen children tear a well-trained combat soldier to pieces, I have. It happened in a relatively good neighborhood in LA, and the dead man was one of the most decorated marines we had. It happened a block and a half from my apartment. It was a very long time ago, but I never got over the shock of seeing what looked like The Lord of the Flies coming to life.
Before the Decider, police forces were relatively small in comparison to the size of the populations they were charged with "Protecting and Serving." But after it became clear that the entire upper echelon of government had become nothing more than glorified street bandits: the gloves came off all the way down the food chain. So when the demonstrations against the wars began, your departments began to behave as if US citizens were the real Enemies of the State.
Way back in 1992 the behavior patterns for you were in play in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew. And you did oh such a job then of disposing of all those bodies-the Owners loved it, but that had to remain a secret because of "national security." (1)
Then came Katrina and the mercenaries helped you out with your own campaign of terror against the survivors of New Orleans that had the temerity not to die. But from that point forward your ranks began to swell, as officers began to catch the drift of what would lead to their next promotion in the newly criminal world of 'law-enforcement.'(2)
This was followed by Blackwater that was armed with new and secret contracts to retrain the sheriffs, the marshals, and the police of all stripes to convert them into the heavily armored combat troops that would very soon begin to patrol the streets and byways of America. Since then you have become brazenly bold and unflinching in your treatment of the people that you were supposed to protect-the same people that actually pay your inflated salaries. Contrary to what you might believe you are not a law unto yourselves-you're supposed to be peace officers. (3)
That's what can be tracked about the current situation, and that's what most of you see as your current job: the brutalizing, the Tasering and or the killing of US citizens that fail in some small way to obey your every command-no matter how unreasonable. It seems no one knows exactly how many you have killed, as your departments fail to keep such records-but when one is too many - then a hundred or more amounts to a mutiny against the very people you are sworn to serve. Here's a rough history of your recent activities, in part. (4)
What you don't seem to realize is that when you take off the Kevlar, and unstrap both your weapons, you need a shower, possibly a shave if you're male, and you'll need to grab something to eat. If you live in the Burbs which most cops do, you probably have "friends" and maybe you might want to go to a game or just get together with "friends." In brief you do what other people do unless you're a robot living in a barrack somewhere dark and semi-distant. If you have a family they have their lives to live as well, grocery shopping, school etc. just like other people-except that you are not like other people! You have become a secret enforcer, the muscle and bullets of the fascist state incarnate. And that makes you and yours into targets for those that you have wronged.
What used to protect you was the good will of the people you served, but with that out-of-the-way now, because you've put yourself beyond the law and above the people that once cared whether you lived or died-your world has changed almost as much as ours: Only you still have no clue about the consequences that are coming!
When you do what you do to ordinary people your actions affect the lives of a great many people beyond the targets of your brutality-and those people whether adults or children will not forget. Meanwhile you have forgotten that you are not Supermen or Superwomen, you're just flesh and blood like all the rest of us: and with every day that passes the numbers of your enemies continue to increase by the hundreds, until that figure reaches into the thousands, and you are beginning to close in on that magic number now.
When my old man was murdered I lived with rage for a very long time-but it was a very different era then and reason won out-his killer had to live with perpetual uncertainty, but he got to live. This is a very different world today. But the laws of consequence and responsibility are still in tact in this jungle that passes for life-in-Occupied-America today.
Just thought you'd like to know that while the public has not yet decided to act, that day will not remain at bay forever. How long will it be before you need to look over your shoulder, or check you squad car before getting in, not once in awhile, but each and every time. How well do you know your 'friends' and how's your life these days, maybe a little more tension, a lot less patience because at some level you have to know we're watching. This is so because you have become unnatural, and with each passing day you grow more distant from the people that you brutalize so easily!
By the way this Open Letter is also meant for those thugs that serve the god of TSA. They might not get your perks but too many of them are all too eager to attack the innocent instead of simply asking civil questions. Events like this are growing in their frequency, every hour of every day. (5)
I came up the hard way and I carried a gun for a few years-so I'm not blind to what you're trying to do. Early on I lived in Paint Hotels among the drifters and the night-moths, but even then there were too many of your kind. I've had my share of pistol-whippings in the back of a patrol car, I survived the petty interrogations and the insults then-but I fought back with lawyers and with real cops to make it right.
Today everything is different and the Bad Guys wear the uniform and are praised for what they do to us. You might want to think about it boys and girls, because no one leaves this life alive. One of the first things that basic training taught to every military draftee, back in the fifties, was that there is always someone bigger, someone stronger, someone meaner than you might think you really are. That was a major life-lesson, too bad you guys missed out on that.
Your behavior towards the public is teaching them that "selling out is futile" and that anyone alone is always easy prey; maybe that's why you roam in packs? Soon the public may begin to emulate your tactics, and then where will you be when you find yourself outnumbered by an angry mob that no longer fears your uniform, but instead is energized because of what you do NOT stand for!
You might want to think about these things, because they are not secret anymore: and millions of people have begun to watch your every move-so why not begin to do the right thing, while you can.
A Peace Officer's opinion.
Couldn't see the video... the link said it couldn't find it.
This makes me sick. I've been a State Trooper for 16 plus years and have never forgotten my oath and my duty. I have stepped in when other officers have gotten heavy handed and never...and I do mean NEVER laid a finger on anyone inappropriately.
I have had to defend myself with physical force a few times, and while I have had them out and ready to use if necessary, I have never actually used my pepper spray, baton or firearm on any person. I have never given a "screen test" or taken an opportunity to rough someone up.
I have protected the rights of various felons and belligerent drunks alike. I have withstood a barrage of verbal abuse and drunks intentionally defecating and urinating in my cruiser. I have sat calmly (on the outside anyway) as folks I have arrested threatened me, my wife and children with unspeakable violence and never (again I say) NEVER "taken the law into my own hands".
Now after doing my job the best I know how, I hear from other liberty minded patriots that it is time to start taking the law into our own hands and that me and my peers will now have to "watch our backs".
I am furious and ashamed of the reported conduct (again, I couldn't see the video) and equally pissed off after seeing all the other videos of similar run ins. But if you want to make a difference, don't do what lastmovement suggests (although I do understand the anger)... the best and most effective way to beat these bad cops is to reflect Dr Paul.
Calm and well reasoned conduct needs to be the approach and apply the logic of the Rule of Law and the US Constitution. The biggest way to make a change is do what Dr Paul did... and what I did. GET HIRED AS A PEACE OFFICER!
I am a supervisor (took about 9 years) and am continually educating and informing my guys. They know what there job is and I can assure you that any use of force issue MUST cross my desk and will be dealt with. I can also proudly state that while neither my Troops or I are perfect (we hire from the same gene pool that we arrest from) that a heavy handed approach is unacceptable in this Service that we are called to do.
"Hitting back" will only give these knuckleheads more reason (IN THEIR OWN TWISTED BRAINS) to do what they are doing. I have worked with some like this and the ONLY way to beat them is by creating an environment where that thought process is NOT acceptable and the bully cop eventually shrivels up and blows away. Much like the bully on the playground.
Cops are not the enemy, the a$$holes are. There are in all professions; politics, the military, teachers, doctors, lawyers... and there are good folks in all these professions as well... Target the problem with Dr Paul and don't lump in all in the profession as one in the same.

Nicely put. Thanks, officer.
Nicely put. Thanks, officer. I'm sure there are many more law enforcement officers that are disgusted by a few police acting out against citizens.
There are... I promise that.
I hope the same for the Liberty minded Teachers, Pastors, Business owners, Polititions, etc... The profession isn't as important as the motivation. We all have our rolls to play in the R3VOLution

that's encouraging... I hope I live to see the day when we have peace officers again instead of what we have now. The problem isn't just that 99% of your fellow officers don't share your outlook (ie, most are just bully a-holes), it's that we have a system of laws and enforcement that a-holes gravitate to and are given complete authority to be a-holes with zero oversight (why wouldn't a bully want that job?). Lawmakers have completely and unabashedly overstepped their authority and enacted literally thousands of unconstitutional laws (from drug prohibition to rediculous motor vehicle codes, got to keep the people safe after all), essentially making everyone a criminal, then commandeered our local and state police departments to go forth as an army to stop as many motorists as possible, arrest and throw as many of those "criminals" in jail as possible and for those that cannot be arrested on the spot, charged with whatever crime possible and extort as much money out of them as the law will allow (example: headlight goes out while you're driving at night, you're now a criminal subject to stop/search/seizure, if they don't find your weed and arrest you for that then it's just a $150 fine for the headlight). It's not just a few bad apples, the whole system stomps on the idea of civil liberties and constitutionally "guaranteed" freedoms (such as being able to travel without being stopped/detained for every little thing), and the right to due process, the right to a fair trial, the rights of "innocent until proven guilty" and "burden of proof to be on the state". In the lower courts you have none of these things. Imagine how the people who fought for our freedoms would react to what we have today: riding their horses back home after having fought long and hard for their freedom, they get "pulled over" by a "statie", officer states that the reason he stopped them is that the aftermarket bridal is illegal (have to buy the one the manufacturer made for the horse, $150 fine for that), and the horse isn't branded on the front and back (no front license tag) that's another $150, and that the exhaust is "too loud" (not that's it's X decibals over the allowed limit, he has no idea, just finds the shiny canister offensive for some reason), that's $225 for that... how would they react to that? they would probably open fire, and that's how I feel. I got pulled over last week because the light illuminating the rear license plate was out, the officer could read the plate just fine but that didn't stop him from pulling me over (so he could get his sneak and peek, maybe a felony arrest to make his day). This type of scenario plays itself out thousands of times a day all across our "free" nation, it's an affront to any man or woman who ever served or sacrificed in the name of American freedom. I'm just curios what all these guys do in their spare time, do they go to the veterans cemetary and piss on their graves just for a kick?
