Please Help Me Prepare For My State Convention

I'm in Maine, and I participated in our caucus. It was the first time for me. I could've done better if I was better prepared.
Now I'm preparing to go to the state convention for Ron Paul. I want to be as effective as I can be!
I see other states where Ron has done well, as in LA, then not do well in the state convention. What is going on? How can I prepare myself best so state convention regulars don't out strategize me?

I live in Ohio and have no chance to participate in the delegate
process, but I wanted to wish you luck. Keep up the great work. I would say maybe one piece of advice would be, don't wear any Ron Paul gear there. Bring some buttons in your pocket. I would try to feel the place out before you make it known that you are a Ron Paul supporter. After you feel it out, I say break out the buttons or put on the t-shirt you bring in your bag. I say, the sneak attack is the best way. They might try to keep you at the back of some line if they know you are there for him. This is just a guess to me, because I have never been to one. Remember, incognito. You will do great!!!

I just went to ours in Michigan as a state delegate. I could not become a delegate to the national convention because they were picked over a year ago. We voted on if we wanted these delegates for the national convention, we voted no, hoping to get a chance for new delegates to be selected for RP, no such luck. The only hope is that we can sway the 2 uncomitted delegates to vote for him. What you can do is make sure there is someone who can give a good speech for Dr Paul. Huckabees wife came in for him and gave a speech, we had no one for Dr Paul. Make sure you have plenty of slim jims and any other info to give out. A table with info would be a good idea.
