Lew Rockwell Endorses Dr. Murray Sabrin for Senate
Fellow Freedom Lover,
Below is a copy of my endorsement of Dr. Murray Sabrin and his campaign to become a United States Senator. This evening, I will be introducing my friend of 30 years on Ron Paul radio (call in info is below). Please visit Murray's website http://www.murraysabrin.c... and help.

Murray Sabrin is an extraordinary man. As an economist and finance professor, he has defended the free market and sound money for more than 30 years. Indeed, his first publication was a letter to the NY Times denouncing the "legalized counterfeiting of the Federal Reserve." He wrote a wonderful book against the income tax. And ever since the founding of the Mises Institute, he has been a valued scholar and supporter of our work and of LewRockwell.com as well.
The late Murray Rothbard, Mr. Libertarian, thought the world of Murray Sabrin, and was delighted to serve on his PhD dissertation committee. And indeed, Murray S. has helped carry on the work of Murray R.
Murray has also been a strong supporter of Ron Paul and his campaigns, a support which is enthusiastically reciprocated http://www.murraysabrin.c.... Now, as head of the Ron Paul Revolution in New Jersey, Murray is taking his fight to a higher level, as a Republican candidate for the US Senate.
Imagine an Austrian economist in the US Senate! Ron Paul would truly have a partner in his fight for American prosperity, and end to the rip-off policies of DC.
Right now, Murray has two opponents in the primary, a party hack of the old school, and a rich, liberal dilettante, who thinks she can buy her way in. Both can be beaten. Not only is Murray a dedicated and eloquent campaigner with a high and respected profile in the NJ Republican party, but he has the message the overtaxed and overregulated people of New Jersey are ready to hear. His opponent in the Democrat party is that ancient neocon, Frank Lautenberg. Polls show that 60% of the voters want him to retire, already.
I know Murray Sabrin's intelligence, character, teaching ability, and work ethic; I know his dedication to the principles of liberty in the tradition of Ron Paul; and I know the difference he could make in the US Senate. So I am delighted to endorse him. Visit his site http://www.murraysabrin.c... and join me in helping him make a difference for all of us.
On February 29th near the New York Fed, Murray will hold a Legalize Freedom rally (see below), to call on the central bank to stop destroying the value of the dollar, and the hopes and dreams of every worker and saver. Ron Paul is the honorary chairman, and Tom DiLorenzo and I are co-chairman.
Join us for the Sabrin Revolution!

Support Him!
You naysayers need to actually watch his videos and stop listening to hearsay. This guy is the REAL DEAL. He understands Austrian Economics just as Ron Paul does and he's a well spoken and highly intelligent man. I was skeptical but after watching his speeches it's quite clear that he is a true supporter of Liberty.
We need as many Austrian School politicians as possible in Washington. Dr Paul needs all the support he can get. Murray Sabrin is part of our movement and we have an obligation to support him.
Murray Sabrin deserves support from Ron Paul supporters on 2/29!
As a New Jersey Ron Paul supporter, I've had the chance to meet Murray Sabrin on several occassions. He is a true Ron Paul Republican. He understands the intellectual underpinnings of a Constitutional federal government. Murray has been a friend of Ron's for 25 years. His positions are identical to Ron's. He's been a frequent contributor to lewrockwell.com over the years.
He deserves support on 2/29 from all of us in his fight to win the primary. Just like the Ron Paul campaign, donations of any size from any US citizen make a difference. I've maxed out for Murray as I did for Ron Paul.
Murray's main competition is Anne Estabrooke a RINO/ necon. Her speech is like a Bush/ Cheney speech. Murray has a very realistic chance to beat her, as she's dependent on her own money and to be kind, she's not much of a stump speaker.
The following video of Murray at a Republican club meeting was recorded on 2/18. Check out his other speeches as well.

George Ajjan (a strong Ron Paul supporter) writes a NJ political blog which provides a good perspective on Murray's run for the Senate.

Yes, he an an adherent to Austrian economics
He could probably school all the other senators on their weak Keynesian ways.
The following is what this country is facing...
"The power of the Executive to cast a man into prison without formulating any charge known to the law, and particularly to deny him the judgment of his peers, is in the highest degree odious and is the foundation of all totalitarian government whether Nazi or Communist."
- Winston Churchill, Nov. 21, 1943
Does anyone know if Sabrin is an anarcho-capitalist?
If Rothbard "thought the world" of him, then I suspect he might possibly be.
Anyhow, that would be very cool to get one elected to office...it'd be an even bigger threat to the State than a Constitutionalist!
Re: Endorsing McCain.
Let me clear the air on this issue right now because it seems some people are just looking for excuses to say that our movement lost and that its not worth fighting anymore.
What Sabrin said when asked this question among the more main stream republicans (who by the way, will be the ones who will help elect our guy into the U.S. Senate) "IF" he would support whoever the nominee was, he answered yes.
Now lets be practical for a minute. Why the hell would you turn around, KNOWING you need the republican party base to get elected, and say that you wouldn't support the nominee???? Thats political suicide!!!
Although there is a miracle of a chance that Ron Paul gets the nomination, the reality is (and more and more people are realizing it) that he most likely will NOT...
That being said, "IF" (which is what he said) the party Nominated McCain, he would support him.
To be honest with you, I really hope Ron Paul gets the nomination, but falling short of that, should he not get it, it makes no sense WHAT SO EVER, to not support Murray because he said he would support whoever the nominee is..
When Murray gets elected, WE STILL WON! Our movement will have still succeeded by placing a RON PAUL REPUBLICAN in the U.S. Senate. PLUS, it should be all the more reason to support Sabrin cause if you don't, and the Democrat wins, or worse still, A NEOCON Republican, McCain (or Hillary) being president, will be able to run rampant.
Atleast with Sabrin, he'll be able to keep them in check.
Think about this for a minute, are you willing to cut your nose off to spite your face? Or do you really want to start placing Ron Paul Republicans all over the government?
Politics is like warfare. Its a dirty game of popularity. Sometimes we have to do the dirty things in order to win, and if its making the mainstream believe that we're willing to step in line in order to do it, so be it.
Consider it equivalent to the work of U.S. Navy Seals.

Donate
We need to donate to Murray Sabrin. He is running for the Senate seat. He has supported Ron Paul, and Ron Paul has endorsed him. He wants to raise 229,000 by February 29. Please donate
Yeah, but he also basically just endorsed John McCain...
So no thanks.
$25 just to spite ignorance.
$25 just to spite ignorance. Money well spent.
Edited Post.
Sorry WRellim. I thought you were mistaken with this one but then I found the following post:
Sabrin will support McCain? WTF?
Sabrin was quoted as saying the following:
“As a proud conservative Republican who has donated to, campaigned for, and supported such solid conservatives like Scott Garrett, Steve Lonegan, Jay Webber and Bret Schundler, I will support the Republican Presidential nominee if it is John McCain."
I understand why Murray Sabrin is doing this, but personally, I would rather be gang raped by a herd of goats than support John McStain! I really hope Murray reconsiders, but I will carry on supporting him. Who else do we have running for Senate? I guess nobody's perfect.
How did he basically endores John McCain
I tried searching for anything that could be taken as Sabrin supporting McCain but I couldn't find anything
