Sabrin will support McCain? WTF?

http://tinyurl.com/27jxvx

Let's see how fast this one gets flagged and deleted. Is DP more about supporting the GOP nominee NO MATTER WHO? Or is it about sticking to principles NO MATTER WHAT?

Somehow I doubt

That Mr. Sabrin sees much choice in the matter. Besides, he only said he would support him at the nominee. He didn't commit to supporting him as president. If Dr. Paul is ok with Sabrin then I have to assume that Sabrin is ok. From where I understand they have known each other a long time. I doubt that Dr. Paul would be easily fooled by a with-the-wind kind of guy.
The more RPR we get in office the more effect we will have in the long run. Continue to support this guy and get him elected. (Besides, McCain doesn't realistically stand a chance against either democrat. America is tired of war)

Not real RP supporters in here, Mcstain?

I will slit my wrists before I will ever vote for a republican,or a dem unless their platform is the exactly the same as RON PAUL.Give me freedom or give me death!no RP no republicans!!!I bet a million dollars olny a troll would ever support mcstains 100 year war I hope your children get chopped up in the meat grinder you savage animales!I hope you neocons scum will die slow and painful deaths, maybe then you would see what our troops are living through! The troops support RP so do I!!!

He's still considered a long

He's still considered a long shot for the nomination so he's trying to win over the party loyalists. His only choice was to answer one of 4 ways...
1) vote for the party's nominee
2) Vote for Obama of Clinton, whoever wins
3) Vote for a third party
4) Not vote

Given those and ONlY those choices, what is the best answer considering his situation? RP is in trouble and he's a long time incumbent when they win 90% of the time! He's in trouble for NOT being a party loyalist. So again, what should Murray have said?

Right on.

I agree. people are jumping to conclusions.

I have been having serious doubts about the RP web site.

Waaayy too much censorship. Certain things they apparently don't want RP supporters to be aware of. All of this really raises my suspicions.

What?

2 questions:

What website? ronpaul2008.com or dailypaul.com?

What 'certain things' don't 'they' want us to be aware of?

The website I question is this one. NOT the official

campaign website.

OK then

Just what is it that 'they' don't want us to know?

And the $64,000 question:

Who are 'they'?

no censorship

I deleted my own thread

I just answered this below

self censorship is not censorship it's judgement

I would not vote for McCain if he was running for the outhouse

and would do what ever necessary to see that he didnt make it.

F*ck J*hn McC**n

Where did the other thread

about this topic disappear to? If DP is going along with this and trying to keep it covered up, they are as much a part of the problem as the system. They need to remove his banner immediately. No excuses.

It was my thread and I deleted it.

I started it to make people aware, but afterwards saw the potential for it to get overly heated and distract us from the Revolution. So I used some self-governance and deleted it. I was not asked to remove it, nor did anyone at Daily Paul do anything about it. I simply clicked delete, which is available to the author of any thread.

Republican

One of the most damning things Ron Paul has said is that he would not sport McCain if he didn't change foreign policy.

Now it looks like he might loose his district. Paul has been able to run under the radar all these years. Most in his district do not know what he stands for. The war issue is not all that popular in die hard republicans.

When and ''if'' McCain gets the nomination, I probably will support him. Not with money, but as a fellow Republican. No, there will not be a McCain sticker on my truck, in fact, there will be Ron Paul stickers on my truck for the next 3 years. [maybe 4]

McCain has his faults. I do not agree with him on some issues, but I do not want a socialist running the country, and Obama is more socialist than Hillary.

I am now a Ron Paul Republican and I will be working on getting other Ron Paul like Republicans elected.

And McCain isn't a Socialist?

Look at the roots of Neoconservatism - Trotsky. The Neocons believe in the welfare state as much as the Democrats. McCain is just a militant socialist.

I think this is the smart

I think this is the smart way to go.

Don't donate to him if you're upset about it.

Sometimes we have to sneak in the backdoor.

I saw him speak for RP at a straw poll here in NJ and the Doc endorsed Murray. I think they've known each other for years.

Lets look at the facts...

And the facts are, we are currently living with a disgusting, slimy, BS system called the, "two party" system.

What was Sabrin supposed to say? I know Murray personally and help raised some money for him when he first ran as Libertarian. He's a good guy that knows how bad this system is and want to get in and change it. He's also made it abundantly clear who his first choice is and now people in the party are asking their version of the "purity" test. Personally, I still can't believe I've not only registered as an "R" but that I'm also going to be on the ballot as one for Delegate! So should my diehard LP friends say I've sold out? I would hope not, as I'm trying to do what I can to make a difference.

There's not a day that has gone by since I made this change that I haven't almost said, "F*ck it, I'm switching back. I can't believe I actually changed my registration to this party I despise so much" But I'm doing it for the good guys, like the good Doctor. Murray is one of the good guys, lets cut him some slack on this. I know how much he was doing for RP in NJ, so it wasn't easy for him.

Nope, sorry. That doesn't cut it.

The fact that "we are currently living with a disgusting, slimy, BS system called the, 'two party' system" is still not a valid excuse for supporting evil. You can attempt to rationalize it until the freakin' cows come home, and you'll still be WRONG. Dead wrong - as nearly 4000 U.S. troops and over 1 million Iraqi civilians would tell you right now (if they could)...

You are making it sound like

You are making it sound like he is support McInsane over RP, which he is NOT saying. He is saying he will support him over the witch or the coke head. All 3 suck and we could debate which one is worse all day, but given that he said he will vote for one of those from that pool, its ok with me. Keep in mind he said that AFTER RP said he will not run as a third party. So again, given the question the way it was worded, and that he is running for that party's nomination, what should he have said? FU to them? Would that be smart? And WTF would that accomplish, that you sing his praises?

There are principled 3rd party candidates to vote for

but I can understand his public position and that he is trying to get elected in a very liberal state.

Unfortunately, saying that he will support McCain helps encourage Republicans who do not support McCain to vote for him instead of Dr Paul, even if that is not his intention
