***Something to Ponder***
In light of a few postings that have appeared on this site lately and have been thankfully flagged off, I feel compelled to say that I am a Seventh-day-Adventist and I have been very offended by someone taking that name and posting as they did.
Put yourself in my place and you would understand if you were a certain religion (fill in the blank) and someone took on that name on this forum and made a complete fool of themselves, how would you feel?
Every church has its kooks and this is one of them. So please don't judge my church by one person who has in my opinion, made it look bad.
I personally know many Seventh-day Adventists (at least 20 from my church locally and many that I've been in correspondence/phone with) who are voting for Ron Paul. We are part of many Christian denominations that are a part of this movement.

You appear upset because seventhdayadventist is
one of us majority of rp supporters who promotes a win-win 3rd party strategy. This is not about restore the republican party. It's about restore the Constitution.
Let's go for it! Here is the 'best of both worlds' plan:
Proposed course of action for 2008 by David Franke at ultimateronpaul.com: (edited)
Work for Ron Paul to get the Republican nomination, all the way to Minneapolis-St. Paul.
Convince Ron Paul to seek the Libertarian Party nomination as well.
Convince the Libertarian Party to nominate Ron Paul as its candidate for President.
Make effective use of Paul’s money chest and DaddyWarBucks million dollars/month ads to make the Libertarian choice visible to the American people, to an extent that’s never been done before. The ideal would be for the Libertarian Party/Ron Paul vote in November to represent the balance of power between the Democrats and the Republicans. Accomplish that and you could be sure we’d be listened to in the future.
Then, after a couple of days’ rest, get to work creating the new Ron Paul coalition as a permanent policy force in American politics.
We’ve got our work cut out for us! We can rekindle the grassroots excitement once again and grow a monster voting army.
If you like these listed actions and want to get involved or want to learn more about this “Let’s go for it! All the way to November!” article, go to ultimateronpaul.com.
P.S. I recommended that Mr. Franke delete the last two paragraphs and instead explain what the CFR is and that Obama, Clinton, McCain, and Huckabee are all members. I also urge all voters to write-in Ron Paul at their voting booth, should he not get a nomination by either republican or Libertarian parties.

Don't worry about him, if he
Don't worry about him, if he stops getting attention he will soon go. I and most people would understand that one person flaming under "the name of a group of people" is still only one person. If someone was flaming under the name "FrenchDude," I would think most people would not say, "boy, those French dudes are all kooks."
One is still one. I would think that RP supporters are much, much smarter then that.
Yes, do not worry about me, since
I don't want attention. I had wanted to know specific information that any 3rd-grader could understand by simply reading what I posted. A 3rd-grader wouldn't have suspected an evil plot and reacted with vitriol. Apparently, many fellow RP supporters have too much time on their hands and like to fault-find.
I would say
that your last 3 posts on this thread were spam...lol
I'm going to give you a mental time-out. I'll just flag your crap and keep on going without responding from now on. No sense feeding the fire. That's all you're here for anyways.. just looking for someone to slap you around.
Yes, leave my posts alone.
Those three are not the "crap" that you imagine. The "crap" was the replies some gave to me.
3. I asked if you thought an armed march in Washington
would be your dream or your nightmare. Innocent enough. I was called a troll and flagged.
Who are the real kooks?
Who is giving a bad name to whom?
Indeed, something to ponder.
2. I asked if someone was a personal friend of Ron Paul to
communicate with me off-the-forum. Innocent enough. I was called a troll and flagged.
1. I asked if someone who attended church services with Ron Paul
could contact me. Innocent enough. I was called a troll and flagged.
Just a friendly reminder...
Just a frienly reminder that if you feel that someone is a troll, then just ignore them. That is often the best solution.
"We don't have to start a brand new revolution...All we have to do is restore the original Constitution." -Ron Paul
I agree.
If you can't read, you should stay away from here, too.
Good advice! I usually
Good advice! I usually follow that rule... except I guess this time I felt he had gone too far....
I flagged this thread already.
Don't call me a kook.
not a kook
Just a flamer.
A flamer by definition is someone that comes onto an online forum or chat interface and starts posting to get attention.
Now, the reason that people like you are called flamers is that you've noted that the quickest way to get lots of attention is to gather negative attention. To people like yourself it doesn't matter what kind of attention it is as long as you can get it. Some say that this phenomenon is a sign of mental illness, bad upbringing, being socially unacceptable, etc. Negative attention is what you are used to.. so you take it. On a medium like the internet it is far easier for you to do without all the negative connotations of doing it in reality, like getting your ass kicked, being ridiculed, etc.
So you do it here.
Welcome to DP.. ~sigh~
We'll work around you.
I'm not a flamer.
Read my three posts above.
How would Mr. Spock of Star Trek react to the reading of responses that I got? He would think there is something wrong with all those who flagged me. There was no reason to do so.
Maybe You Are A..........
Poofer..............
The real kooks are the ones
who think they are personal friends of Ron Paul and are not.
The real kooks are those who cannot obey the opening post of a thread.
The real kooks are those who try to find evil in something that is not.
I suggest you change your
I suggest you change your name....
I suggest you not to suggest for me to change
my name.
worth pondering
I understand your concern
I'm from a viewpoint
That it is always the person, not thier religious beliefs, unless you try to shove them down my throat. So I go by the post... its content, percieved intent, etc.
The ~other poster~ you are mentioning wouldn't sully my opinion of your religion.
Quite the opposite... if you think about it they picked that particular religion to make people think that they were relatively sane....lol
As Opposed to Satan4Paul or something wierd.
The one religion that has never fit into my list of things that may be good for someone spiritually... so I'ma not attempt to pardon my Satanic bashing.... call me opinionated, I guess... ;)
Well
I WOULD refer you to the First Church of Lucifer.
It's a bit strange, but their idea was that Lucifer wasn't a "Devil" in the sense of "trying to do opposite of God" but that he was a bringer of change. The objection was to that of "original sin" within which they used the argument that before Adam and Eve ate of the tree of knowledge, they didn't know it was "wrong" to disobey God. Knowledge of "right" and "wrong" are determined by logic and reasoning. Before eating of the tree of knowledge, Adam and Eve were more akin to happy lobotomy patients.
It's an interesting viewpoint, one I don't especially share, but I didn't have enough time to really speak with them.
Nice thoughtful people though.

I can also add the
I can also add the obvious.... this guy might not even be a Seventh-day-Adventist and just took on the name
I am a SDA.
I haven't caused a single problem. Others did each time. A rational reader of the flagged threads would have easily noticed.
