RON PAUL Washington rally VS GRANNY Warrior's Rally

Ron Paul has always said that he doesn't actively fundraise. He leaves that up to the supporters. He has always counted on us to come through in the clutch situation, and we always have. I believe that when he promoted the idea of the Freedom March, he also wanted to leave that up to his supporters. This time we failed. Although the Granny Warriors may have jumped the gun on this one, we all should have got in line and supported their idea, because guess what, there are very few people here, if any, that have done as much to promote Ron Paul as the Granny Warriors.

The date may not be the best choice, but I believe that time is of the essence.

If we let this date come and go and we don't participate, then we may never have another chance.

Who knows, from what I've seen Ron's website donations are way down.
Ron has said that he will be in this race as long as his supporters want him to be (donate). We cannot take Dr. Paul for granted.

If we all take a stand now with the Granny Warriors, it could be glorious.

There are MANY MANY people that have organized on the side because HQ has NO IDEA what they are doing.

The Granny Mobile has been rattling ALL OVER THIS COUNTRY. Breaking down,going into debt,dealing with RV repairs, and trusting in the kindness of strangers. I can assure you it has been no cake walk.They have put forth more effort than many of us.

The only one that would have made sense is joining forces with "rolling thunder" anti McCain group.

Dividers and detractors never have anything of value at stake. So why don't you go start another Blog Page where you can do this all day until you are sated?

This is not a democracy we live in. Technically it's still a republic. So whosoever wants to have a rally, march or protest can do whatever they please. And it's none of your business.

It's still a free country. Ron Paul would approve, he's all for this kind of thing.
Maybe you guys are young and think everything has to be this way or that.
Older people grew up when things were done on the fly. Granny and Ron are on the same side and so am I. There will be no media coverage, just look at our track record. So what if there is more than one rally, April 15 is a perfect day for a rally. This rally is not about Ron Paul it's about his MESSAGE. Maybe there will be 25 rallies before the main campaign gets theirs, want to know how many people there are ADD them up. Having everyone in one place at one time I think is a bad idea with all the BS that is going on it is better to spread out. Granny said she would go to both. The Ron Paul supporters is a very diverse group. The April 15 rally will cover a lot of people concerned about their taxes. There could be a End the war rally too that would be good. What is important is to get off our asses and get busy, organize I like the idea of a Woodstock type one, too. God bless, Granny she is Ron Paul's Patton.

has been great for this movement, and I supported her chipin for the NH recount and sent paypal some harsh comments along w/ my cancellation notice after their screwup..... But if I can only attend one rally it will be Dr. Paul's. He's been fighting the establishment since I was in diapers and his presence is a proven draw. Ideally, the campaign would choose April 15th as the date for their rally and there will be no conflict, or people will just choose to attend both. But I will no short shrift Dr. Paul.

in Washington DC. I see any other marches as sabotages against the original march and I question the motives of the people that promote them.

When he gives the date that will be the march. I only add all the granny marchers need to attend the Ron Paul march also or what they have done is nothing to promote the message with one huge showing.

any type of march or demonstration that they want, but I for one am waiting on the RP march because April 15th is too soon for us (we plan to make at least a week vacation out of it...driving all the way from TX) and I hope that we can show our strength in numbers on the date christened by RP. I'm very excited about this and hope they come out with a date soon. I like June 21st because holidays (Memorial Day or July 4th) are absolutely crazy busy in D.C. and I don't want our event to be overshadowed by other crowds.

You state a "Bad Idea" and then F%^&K Grannie Warriors without ANYTHING to substantiate your less than articulate statement. Your statement is the epitomy of a "NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND" Blanket statement.

I have been watching, listening and donot post here often, but have a few words to say about the Ron Paul March and the Grannies Demonstration. I would like to start out by stating that as we all know, the grannies have been avid supporters of congressman/Dr. Ron Pauls candidacy to be our next president of the United States. We supporters of Dr. Paul know this to be true. As I was reading one of the posts here, I would like to state first and foremost that I have never met either of the grannies nor have ANY affilliation with them. I would like to repost this quote by one of the posters that quite frankly garnered my attention. Here it is: "From the RON PAUL campaign, "Ron Paul 2008 has formed its March Exploratory Committee and is giving careful thought to the BEST DATE, specific format, and other details of the upcoming Ron Paul freedom march. We’ve also set up a new e-mail address [freedommarch@ronpaul2008.com] for the committee, so SUPPORTERS CAN SEND THEIR IDEAS, SUGGESTIONS, QUESTIONS, ECT."

My question is this...." Why does Dr. Ron Paul think that he needs an exploratory committee to even hold a March? My thoughts are the grannies got tired of waiting and not hearing anything about anything from the campaign. Who runs the campaign? Do any of you think for a minute that Dr. Paul isn't informed about the campaign leaders that are leading HQs? The only person who is leading the so called leaders in this campaign is Dr. Ron Paul. Dr. Paul is a very Smart man and has not been elected to 10 terms to congress for allowing others to blindly run his campaigns! Anyway you look at this it would seem that the grannies are like MANY of us...Desperate for TRUTH and FREEDOM and these two require NO long and drawn out....Exploratory Committees. An emphatic "Good Grief! " is only my opinion and my opinion only to this situation. I would like to say that I have and do continue to support Dr/Congressman Ron Paul as I am a meetup organizer and have donated the full amount of $2300 to his presidential campaign, and have donated $500 to his continued campaign for congress, as well as have donated $200 to Murray Sabrin for Senate due to Dr. Ron Pauls endorsement of his candidacy for senate in NJ and of course Murray Sabrins stance and policies/beliefs on his website. My recommendation is not to be on the "Warpath" against Ron Pauls Grannies, but rather "On the Warpath" With their innitiative to get things moving when noone else was willing to do so at the time without an exploratory Commitee and Lagging behind "Mumbo Jumbo." Sometimes people just have to get the ball rolling without the "Extra Baggage" to be carried. All I can add is...Good For You Grannies and God Bless You and Your Efforts to continue to get the message of FREEDOM OUT to We The People.

Ron Paul in 2008!

The campaign has turned in a couple of possible dates to the Nat'l Parks Service. They're waiting on word from them because they have the ultimate say on when and where we march.
Of course, anyone is free to set up their own march, but if we are to have the impact that Ron Paul envisions - the entire area from the Washington Monument to the Lincoln Memorial FILLED with supporters - we CANNOT have multiple marches. It simply will not work.
Everyone, please be patient and wait to hear the date from Ron Paul's mouth before you start making plans. We're traveling from Texas and simply cannot afford to go to more than one of these events and I'm sure all those who live more than a few states away from DC are in the same boat.
If you want to make the media and fellow Americans take notice of this movement, it will only happen if we congregate en masse!

I have never been more disappointed than I am over the attacks upon the Granny Warriors. I am disappointed that some so called supporters of Dr. Paul have taken upon themselves the authority to criticize other Dr. Paul supporters. Nothing misses the message of Dr. Paul concerning freedom and liberty, more than trying to regulate the activities of others.
I am also disappointed that the "official" campaign has not come out and thanked the Grannys for all their past support and congratulated them on taking the ball and running with it to keep the momentum of the Revolution going. What are we suppose to do from March 4th until May, June or when ever HQ decides to hold a march. The April 15th Rally is an important statement and it fuels our spirits to keep the Revolution going. Also there will still be 6 or 8 more primaries after March 15th. Maybe if the supporters in those states see this massive rally in Washington, who knows Dr. Paul just might win a state or two yet.
If those who are so negative here spent their energy positively, they might come up with their own way to plan a special function and promote the Freedom Message and Dr. Paul in some unique and creative way.
There will never be one date that is perfect and suits everyone. So that the fact that we have a rally in April and a march at some future date to be determined is certainly not in conflict...except in someone's mind.
I say hats off to the Granny Warriors and a BIG thank you.

on the one side of it, granny was amazing in her role of NH recount, she went above and beyond the call of duty.......but i gotta tell ya , the paranoid side of me has been turning it around in my mind trying to figure out why she would insist on the "march" or whatever term she is using. i have to wonder if granny doesnt have a subversive aquaintance talking in her ear,,,reason? to ensure with the help of provatuers to orchestrate problems perhaps resulting in police interventions and perhaps making the official Ron Paul march outlawed due to threats of violence or some such thing.........makes ya wonder huh

IMHO, the Revolution can certainly have more than ONE pro-Constitutional event in 2008, so there should not be quarreling among ourselves over deciding upon only one.

i believe the 2008 April 15th event should be mostly promoted as "Tax Strike 08", rather than simply a "march on DC".

"Tax Strike 08" implies so much more -- a national event, rather than an event confined to merely those who can make it to DC.

the fact is, only a handful of Revolutionists and other tax truth patriots, etc. will actually be able to make it to DC. this day should be a national Tax Strike with emphasis on not just taking this day off from work, but spending a good part of the day actively protesting and educating at local Post Offices, State Capitals, and also DC for those who can make it.

i also believe it is paramount that we encourage the Revolution to tie in this event to the lawsuit between We the People vs. US Federal Government which Bob Schultz (www.GiveMeLiberty.org) has been organizing for years.

what better rallying focus is there besides a First Amendment Petition for Redress of Grievances against the Federal Government for violations upon the Constitution?

and now, the Supreme Court has refused to abide by the First Amendment in hearing the petition for redress of grievances by We the People -- it has effectively said that We the People have no individual rights and that the Constitution is not binding upon the Federal Government!

Ron Paul has been championing our Constitution for over 20 years in Congress. however, he has not been able to turn the tide of tyranny because there are not enough like him in Congress.

only recently there has been this well organized movement which follows the mandate of our founders to petition the Federal Government for a redress of grievances over its blatant Constitutional violations. we have a golden opportunity here to unify behind this historic judicial action!

according to the advice of the founders, if our government fails to hear such a petition for redress of grievances, We the People have the right to withhold any and all taxes until it does. unfortunately, not many Americans know about these legal provisions.

one of the effective and memorable actions which the We the People foundation has taken is to peacefully assemble with 200 Americans on the Capital grounds in "V for Vendetta" costumes for a silent vigil holding "NO ANSWERS - NO TAXES" signs (http://www.wethepeoplecon...).

well, imagine if the Revolution got behind this action and we had 1000 or more people doing likewise... i think that would get noticed! 8-)

for far too long American Patriots have been failing to unite in order to work together at fighting leviathan. the Revolution which Ron Paul's campaign has ignited has potential to continue uniting fellow Americans who realize our government is corrupt and want to change this.

so i write this to the Revolution, pleading we start working together with other like minded groups, in particular Bob Schultz' We the People Foundation & Congress, who have already paved the way toward legal and judicial action in holding our Federal Government accountable for violations against the Constitution.

Let them do what they are going to do. If they had a big shin dig planned, it seems that Paul campaign perhaps should have pushed that one.

But it is not a big deal.

What is a big deal is that we are just a few days from March and I still don't see an official date for the march on DC. I think that means April is scratched off officially. But the longer this goes without a set date, the less enthusiasm for it.

If there was nothing to complain about, what would most of the people here do with their time?

If you want to attend the Granny Warrior event, fantastic. If you choose not to, fantastic. But for some of you to say 'what gives them the right'.. you should already know the answer.

I support Dr. Paul on a daily basis.. I hand out literature, stamp my dollars with the Ron Paul stamper and try to get friends/family involved. I believe in Dr. Paul's message.. it's some of the supporters and their tactics I question.
