MUCKRAKER REPORT: 94% of Paul supports say they will write him in for President
94% of Ron Paul supporters indicate they’ll write in his name for President
February 11, 2008 – In late December 2007 the Muckraker Report published an article titled Writing in Ron Paul. Many readers thought it was too early to be talking about a write-in campaign at that time because Super Tuesday, February 5, 2008, had yet to unfold. Well, Super Tuesday is over now, John “Insane” McCain is way ahead in delegates, and Ron Paul is scaling back his campaign efforts to rightly focus on retaining his congressional seat. So where do Ron Paul supporters go from here?
The GOP has a real mess on its hands. The conservative base may never pucker up to McCain nor should it. Voting for the better of two evils is no vote at all. If the Rush Limbaugh’s and Ann Coulter’s of the world have any integrity whatsoever, they’ll vote for none of the above, or start their own write in effort. That being said, GOP operatives that are more loyal to the party than any meaningful principle have already begun the effort to unite the division between the radical right and John “We’re Americans, we’re Americans, we’ll never surrender, they will” McCain.
Will you write-in Ron Paul for President if he does not win the nomination?

While the corporate media has been providing much coverage of the rejection of McCain by the party’s faithful, it has been ignoring the libertarian wing of the Republican Party – the 5-7 percent that supports Ron Paul. Ignoring the Ron Paul message will not make it go away though. If Ron Paul supporters have proved anything this election cycle, it is that they are the most passionate, resilient, and creative voters to be found in America today. And they don’t line up and play nice with the status quo. They will never vote for John McCain – and I mean never! They’d get behind the evil Federal Reserve System and support the illegal, illogical Iraq War before they’d ever cast a vote for a candidate that actually thinks that a war against radical ideology can be won with bullets and occupation.
So which candidate will Ron Paul voters vote for now that Ron Paul is not going to be the Republican nominee? As of today, according to the Muckraker Report poll found in the Writing in Ron Paul article, 94% of these voters are going to vote for Ron Paul – regardless of whether he wins the nomination or not. Ron Paul doesn’t even have to encourage the write in effort. As his supporters have already proved, they’ll take matters into their own hands while the Congressman from Texas campaigns to keep his congressional seat.
If the numbers hold, if 94% of Ron Paul supporters write in Ron Paul for President, John McCain will not win the presidential election. He’ll lose to both Clinton and Obama without the Ron Paul vote.
If the Ron Paul Revolution is to survive beyond Ron Paul, if the Libertarian Wing of the Republican Party is going to continue its progress towards taking the party back, this is the year to send the message loud and clear to the neocons that have severely damaged the GOP – without the libertarian Republicans, you’ll never hold the White House again so you had better get back to the principles of libertarianism and fast.
The best thing that could happen for the Ron Paul Revolution is for John McCain to lose the election by the number of write in votes Ron Paul receives in November 2008.

Louisiana, They always use machines which only have touch buttons with no spot for others
Absentee?
does Louisiana have absentee voting? It would be a paper ballot, should have a space for a write-in - or better yet, DEMAND a paper ballot when you vote.
I've talked to a friend about Ron Paul...
She said her family watched him on Jay Leno and her husband said he was the best guy but he wouldn't win. I told her to write him in. She said, "you can do that?" and I said "of course you can". She said her husband and two children would write him in. So don't assume people get it, tell them what to do.
Amen, Hallejuah, and all that good stuff
Praise God in heaven above for RP supporters.
I will write in his name, lest God strike me dead if I don't.
Your right! There is no other choice.
hell yes.... no matter what
hell yes.... no matter what happens, I will be voting for Ron Paul.
Of course we will write him in...
...there is no other choice! If Ron Paul does not get the nomination then every Ron Paul supporter should write him in and encourage everyone they know to write him in. We do not need to allow the MSM or the faulty system to keep our candidate from the office of President. How many of you are out there?
Were committed in LanCO write in
IF - he isn't the RP nominee - the only one that could rally & win the Presidency over Barrack - we plan on writing him come November and we encourage paper ballots.

I'm disappointed....
only 94%? I guess the other 6% are not really his supporters, else why would you not vote for the good Dr.?
Legalities
Or not voting at all. They may not be able to write him in as a few states have that type of law on the books. These are the same laws that prevent any votes for a third party in that state.
I'll write him in or not vote at all!

Don't blame me! I voted for Ron Paul!
if you can't write him in
if you can't write him in your state.....go with your conscience and write in YOUR OWN NAME!
SC can't write him in
According to the SC State Election Commission one cannot do a write-in for
the presidency or vice-presidency. If Ron Paul does not win the Republican
nomination or go third party we cannot write-in his name in November.
I heard this on the Bob McClain Show so I checked it out at the SC State
Election Commission site and this sadly appears to be the case.

Count me in...
I'll write him in as many times as I can
Give me a stack of those damn ballots.
How the hell could you vote for anyone else?
Actually, this might be a good way to test the "voting system."
Everyone who writes in should register somewhere....then we can gauge the hose job.
I will write in Ron Paul
UNLESS we can convince him to run third-party.
