Global Warming Refuted - New Scientific Paper (not good news BTW)

http://ncwatch.typepad.co...

quote:

"To date, society has only been concerned about solar cycles and sunspots and so on in terms of their effect on the longevity of low earth orbit satellites. That is an important business, but soon the focus will change to our ability to feed ourselves, and that is a subject that will concentrate a lot of minds.

The evidence from the Hanover solar cycle length to temperature relationship, and that of the other cities in this presentation, is incontrovertible. There will be a significant cooling very soon.

Our generation has known a warm, giving Sun, but the next generation will suffer a Sun that is less giving, and the Earth will be less fruitful."

The 5200 year event..... global warming is BS

I would suggest you start here: http://researchnews.osu.e...

..and then decide how far down the rabbit hole you want to go.

Most people have a preconceived notion about climate change. I have been studying this as a passion for the past three years. I have the patches of grey to prove it. This topic is somewhat of a departure from our plight...but for those of you that are curious (and I know who you are), this is something to sink your teeth into, and fast. If you are a God fearing Christian, the ingredients for Armagadon are certainly upon us. If you are a believer in God but also a believer in the abundant science (that which is not government sponsored) then I urge you to come learn about climate change.

http://www.nationalpost.c...

The Deniers are correct...except for one small factor. The threat of catastrophe is very real, happening now, and has nothing to do with global warming.

It will take an epic event to prove this. For those of you that need that, your wait will not be long. For those of you who do not, begin planning for an additional challenge...a return to glacial conditions...to what extent is anyones guess.

Before you panic about this too much...

You have to consider every aspect of the argument.

Some say we're facing global warming because of man-made greenhouse gases.

Some say we're facing global cooling.

Others say 'yes, we're warming--but that's only because we started recording temperatures at one of the coolest points in Earth's cycle.' They say the Earth warms and cools periodically, and they have the ice core samples to prove it.

I'm at the point where I think the Earth is warming because of natural cycles. I do concern myself with green technologies though because I feel it does reduce all kinds of pollution--which is probably not the key reason the Earth is in a warming period--and to reduce the U.S.'s consumption of foreign oil. I switched to solar/wind energy to save money (yes, I save about $80 a month by using an electric provider that sales 100% renewable energy). I drive less, which saves money, too.

People have the tendency to think that everything should always remain the same, and they start to worry when they don't. And you can always find the evidence needed to make your point; no matter what your point is.

Yes!

"I do concern myself with green technologies"

THAT is exactly the correct sentiment. One should concern yourself with green technologies, and pick and choose! I do not use CFLs because I think mercury dumping is a far bigger problem than greenhouse gases. I drive a hybrid, to reduce foreign oil and (just in case) greenhouse effect is true.

However, I do not concern others with green technologies. I will give other people my piece of mind and information, but NEVER through the strong arm of the government and never through force.

The government should not be in the business of forcing morality (which environmentalism -- outside of tort and property rights -- often is), nor should it be peddling specious information. Especially at the federal levels, where your power to oust idiots is reduced. If the local government wants to shill information, let 'em, if you don't like it, you can easily gather a posse up and vote the jackasses out.

But you haven't really said much...

Tracy quote:
"And you can always find the evidence needed to make your point; no matter what your point is."

I think this is true for those who have not delved quite deep enough and discovered the truth. What critics will hold onto for dear life is the notion that this claim has happened before, in a time when gas was 30 cents and we sat infants on our laps when driving. The 'cold' hard fact of the matter is that the amount of science we now have (thanks to the global warming scare) has given us proof to a degree that cannot be ignored...except by the lemmings we so adamantly oppose.

Global warming is an excuse

to collect taxes for the NWO. In reality it is caused by the sun heating up, solar cycles. They know it too, since the other planets are also heating up and they don't have people polluting the air! A friend of mine confirms what many articles on the net say about this, and she works for NASA.
Yet, the scientists that wish to further study this cause (the sun) are NOT getting funded---only the ones that "prove" that it's caused by the pollution.

Patrick Geryl has some (3) interesting books on what will happen in 2012 when the solar cycles peaks out.....interesting earth changes that AT BEST will end the infrastructure we now enjoy. No more electricity, computers, all our knowledge being wiped out.......At WORST, there could be a pole shift....He seems to think there will be. I don't think it will be as bad as he claims, but it should be very interesting.

there's a whole slew of

there's a whole slew of astronomical events that line up on december 21, 2012 (not 12/12 - 12/21 will be the winter solstice). on that day - a precessional cycle of earth will come to an end. this is a 52,000 year cycle of the "wobble" in the earth's axis. one full rotation takes 52,000 years. another is that the galaxy will be crossing the plane of the milky way. another is that the solar maximum cycle of the sun will come to an end. in the basis of how they kept time, their calendar would read 13.0.0.0.0.0 on that day ending an enormous cycle of evolutionary change. 6/6/2006 and y2k and all the other gregorian based calendar dates don't mean anything because it's an arbitrary calendar without any significant measurement other than passing days. mayans created a calendar based on several elements involving constellations, the moon, planets, the sun and stars. this is how they knew all these things were going to happen and this is how they knew that that date would be extremely significant.

in the endings of their previous larger cycles significant events that affected the whole planet were recorded and documented. even in the smaller cycles that are happening right now we see things lining up.

don't count them off as inferior primitives. they were far more advanced than we are today about quite a bit of information.

Great news!!!!!!!

I live in Oregon. My wife keeps trying to get me to move to Alaska. I'm excited to tell my wife that we won't have to now. I think I will put a down payment on a set of snowmobiles tomorrow. Al Gore we want you to save us-again.

I don't recall where Oregon was in the last Ice Age

But I imagine a snowmobile would be a wise investment.

And fun!

Everyone Forgets to Account for Human Ingenuity ..

This is especialy true when it comes to explaining global warming ..

Well

Fortune Favors the Bold

Global warming is happening, that is an observable fact. The question is to what extent humans are responsible for it. Don't go by "But it's cold right now." :) It's pretty easy to prove by averaging the temperatures around the world every year, and then seeing how they've changed over decades.

Is it now?

http://www.dailytech.com/...

quote:

No more than anecdotal evidence, to be sure. But now, that evidence has been supplanted by hard scientific fact. All four major global temperature tracking outlets (Hadley, NASA's GISS, UAH, RSS) have released updated data. All show that over the past year, global temperatures have dropped precipitously.

A compiled list of all the sources can be seen here. The total amount of cooling ranges from 0.65C up to 0.75C -- a value large enough to wipe out nearly all the warming recorded over the past 100 years. All in one year's time. For all four sources, it's the single fastest temperature change ever recorded, either up or down.

Scientists quoted in a past DailyTech article link the cooling to reduced solar activity which they claim is a much larger driver of climate change than man-made greenhouse gases. The dramatic cooling seen in just 12 months time seems to bear that out. While the data doesn't itself disprove that carbon dioxide is acting to warm the planet, it does demonstrate clearly that more powerful factors are now cooling it.

Yup...

... the past 24 months has been the fastest global temperature change (a drop in this case) in history.

Historically, global cooling always means more human suffering and global warming always brings a bounty of easier grown food.

We should INCREASE CO2 production....

=)

exactly

with so much Exxon sponsored anti-climate change propaganda we should all be looking for strictly scientific reports with references.

Global Warming is not as we are told, true, but..

This presentation is a set up. Many scientifically supported claims are presented throughout, but a bunch of poor-science is interspersed, and the conclusion is practically a business proposal. This will be used to suggest that skeptics are bad scientists, industry shills or both. If you're going to be a skeptic, be sure to apply it to hacks on both sides of the issue. It's like, don't swoon for Bush because he says he doesn't like big government.

Oh, perlease

I am connected in the satellite industry. (UK is a large player BTW).
It is all to do with the polar shifting in the earth likely caused by moving core and plate-ing. (Polar as in magenetism). Fact. Many scientists believe it could even do a 180o flip. (We don't know about possible shifting in the moon)?
You just have to look at archiology to see this has happened before. (Fossils, carbon deposites(oil) sand, etc. Sea levels will rise and levels will fall depending where you live. Yes the hotter regions will cool but cooler regions will warm up. Why is there oil under the deserts and beneath the artic where surely nothing has ever lived before?

Mayans

Look... I'm not trying to troll here, but we almost can't go a day without hearing about the Mayan calendar ending in 2012 anymore. Can anyone give me a real reason why an ancient tribe of savages' calendar ending means anything other than they stopped making it? The world was gonna end in the 1950's, then the 80's, then 2000, then 6/6/2006, now 12/12/2012. You see where I'm going with this? Can anyone explain that to me? How the Mayan calendar ending means.... anything? They didn't put a caption there that says "world ends on that day."

Well i'm not gonna post any

Well i'm not gonna post any link or it'll get deleted. But, since you are asking. Some people believe that the Mayan's were not savages, Aliens exist, mankind was seeded on this planet, the earth was much larger and/or had a much heavier atmosphere. The book of Genesis is a retelling of creation as it was believed to be by the ancient Sumarians. If you study the Sumarian text there is substantual evidence to back it up.

The Sumarian's depict's the sky as having additional heavinly bodies. Well if that's true, where did it go? It's on a 3600 year eliptical orbit. Sometime in the 1950's that Uranus had a "perturber". This is essentially how they refer to an object in space that has enough mass to "perturb" other heavinly bodies. So is Pluto, Uranus's perturber? No, it doesn't have enough mass. Whatever is Uranus's perturber is bigger than Jupiter and in the 1950's was an estimated 50 billion miles (I think miles?) away. Again perturber was detected in 1971 this time an estimated 7 billion miles away. So what does that mean? Well either someone's calculations were wrong, or whatever it is, is coming toward us.

If that's true, then some say we will see 2 suns in the sky in 2011. Followed by a major pole shift in 2012. The lead up to that will be irradic severe weather. Some say we are seeing that already. It is commonly believed that this is what caused the great deluge depicted in the bible nearly 3600 years ago.

Why haven't you heard anything about this? Would it be crazy for me to suggest that "they" don't want you to know? Because if they acknowledged it they might also have to fess up and admit that they can only save maybe 1/5th of the worlds population. Or that, that is what expected to survive. In the event of a major cataclismic pole shift.

You can check out Lloyde Pye's research. YouTube: PlanetX Nibiru. And never discuss it here again. lol

Mayan Long-Count Calendar

Hi Rebel,

I don't think the question should be whether or not the world is going to end, it should be what the significance of their (Mayan) research is, and how it interacts with current research. For instance, Lonnie Thompson has scientifically identified a 5200 (give or take) year event which happens to fit nicely with the Mayan Long Count calendar because the Mayan calendar runs on a similar timeline. We use the Mayans expertise in our current system BTW. We know mankind predated what many believe but roughly 5200 years ago things got gritty (COLD) and events lead to a complete fresh start for humanity. The birth of religions and as some believe of life itself occurred during this last event. For those of us who believe mankind flourished prior to this and was crushed by a climate shift, the current trends are much more alarming.

We are on not on the cusp of an event anymore, we are experiencing a transition of some sort here and now. Our climate is a perfect example of this and the BS Global Warming propaganda simply detracts from a cooling trend which seems to be associated with this trend. Cooling is the norm, not the exception.

The world is not going to end anytime soon. Our place in it on the other hand may be facing more challenges than our man can assist us with. Something is going on and it is on grand scale and there is nothing we can do about it except understand it to the best of our abilities and prepare. By anticipating an economic collapse half of the work is already done.

~Paradox

I see, that's

I see, that's understandable. What happened 5200 years ago? Please forgive my lack of ancient history knowledge =x lol. What I meant in my previous post basically was how it just gets so bothering with everyone running around saying 2012 this, 2012 that. I've heard stuff like "Aliens will invade us in 2012 and kill us all," to "Well the sun behaved differently than we expected today, so it's gonna blow up and kill us all in 2012." If nothing happens in 2012, I wonder what all of the people with their prophecies will do. Maybe it'll be 2015 next haha.. hopefully they don't see that. That makes sense about the Mayans though, the reason I called them savages before was because I read somewhere that they killed eachother over losing sports events, or something of the like... can't remember perfectly. That's why I kinda always take the Mayan calendar stuff with a grain of salt.

More on topic also, I looked at the article presented and am still confused about something. Is Al Gore's global warming thing a bunch of hogwash then? I have to admit I didn't see his little movie, but heard how disturbing it was...
If the earth is really cooling down and it's natural for it, then that's cool. Thanks for reading

End of the world party!

Something to think about is that Nostrodamus also predicted 2012...not saying it means anything...im still gunna hold an end of the world party. Medeski Martin Wood anyone?

Please support local music.
www.myspace.com/realityis...

oh hell yes.

i was wondering when someone was going to ask the MMW question!

Nostradamus

Ol' Nostradamus predicted a challenge or something of that nature in 2012 didn't he? If I remember right, he predicted the actual end of the world being in like 3700-ish.

The Global Warming thing

is being pushed, repeated over and over again in an attempt to brainwash the world population. Then, when majority has become believers... they will push a new world wide tax (all according to plan) the global warming tax, or carbon tax as it is being hailed. Another step towards their global empire.

Simple logic? Maybe.. but the way it has been pushed in spite of many scientists in the know disagreeing with the the whole thing, calling it straightout a hoax. Wake up people!!!

Seems cold here

I can't speak with any authority, but it sure seemed to me like a cold winter here in Oregon. I'm only 25 but we got more snow than I've ever seen here. I haven't bother to check historical weather for the area or anything, but it certainly doesn't feel warmer.

The 5200 Year Event - Something Wicked This Way Comes

http://researchnews.osu.e...

You mention the Mayan Calendar, that is ironic because while I have focused on the THC (Thermohaline Circulation), the Sun, and GCR's (Galactic Cosmic Rays) as the primary drivers of climate (which they are), I have always paid homage to DO events and (in particular) the Mayan Long Count Calendar). Why? Because they do have relevance. The long-count calendar runs at a 5125.36 years and the cycle ends Dec 2012. How's that for timing?

If you study Lonnie Thompson's work, and put together the pieces of the climate puzzle, you realize that what we are facing is not about warming or cataclysmic flooding, it is about an abrupt return to glacial conditions (which is the norm). We are ending the Mayan Long Count cycle (entering the sixth sun), we are on the verge of a scientific trend which happens every 5200 years *ahem* (a trend which involves drastic cooling). We are experiencing chaos in our climate system currently. The writing is on the wall. Maybe the financial and political BS is a smokescreen.

Stay strong and fight for our country, we are positioned perfectly if glaciation returns. This will make us a target, and I propose it already has.

I heard

the same thing, that is why global warming is mostly global change, nothing to do with us, but rather something that is part of life.

Climate Change same thing

climate change is the significant changes that occur because of greenhouse gases trapped in the atmosphere. It was a misused phrase "global warming" that the media decided to cling to. It was a nice fuzzy way of saying things could be warming up..but they didn't state that things could be cooling down as well.

Climate change is a real thing...what effects are to come no one knows for sure.

Record-breaking snow here in NH

And that's going back through 140 years of winters on record. I don't know about the rest of the northern states, but there ain't no warming 'round heah.

Ditto in CO

Check out the Crested Butte photos at denverpost.com

I hear you

I hear you...if it gets any warmer here we're all gonna freeze to death.

I believed the Al Gore

I believed the Al Gore version of Global Warming for a while, but now I'm quite skeptical. Here's a good resource:

http://www.freedomforcein...

We're headed for an ice age...

at least that's what they told me in school. Then this whole global warming thing came up and the story changed. I think we still don't know more than we know. What I do know is that people in control like fear. Be it about global warming or the next ice age, they want us to fear the future and look to them to protect us from it.

How many of you guys think that our government has the ability to control the weather?

Government Controlling Weather....

They already think they are.

http://www.youtube.com/wa...

Chem trails here in Nor Cal are a nuisance. It's like they are playing tic-tac-toe in the sky, and now it is coming out that the chemicals they are using are harmful and potentially deadly. We need some information on this project.

As far as global warming is concerned, I agree, it is about fear to herd us into taxation to fund the global government. Luckily their 250 billion dollar plan is failing. Fools. You feel that chill? It's 1,000,000 global warming lemmings realizing they were WRONG. The steady and dramatic drop in global temperature may have something to do with it.

Our sun is inactive and scientists predict this trend to continue...possibly (and probably) for hundreds of years to come. It's a good time to shore up our borders and hunker down. The climate may be the primary reason we are under attack. We are situated comfortably if this is the case. Did anyone ever consider this? Europe and many others are toast if mother nature shifts as now seems imminent.

Not fear people, reality. Look around.

Don't close the borders

Americans will need to sneak into Mexico if your prediction is right.

The New American

just did a big story on the global warming thing....Also a very good read.

Link to references

Heres the link to the same article but with references for those of you who were wondering. I was a bit skeptical of this guy, but he does provide a solid background for his argument.

http://www.lavoisier.com....

Damn alarmists....

I was really concerned about global warming after seeing Gore's documentary in 2006. Now, I'm really pissed off for his lie that "the debate is over."

Thanks for the article.

About time this is starting

About time this is starting to get more attention. This same cycle is also responsible for the dawn of the dark ages and eventually the black death in Europe.

I've always felt like the earth knows that its overpopulated and it has an amazing system to keep itself in balance, whether in temperature or population or whatever else. It also all lines up perfectly with people becoming more conscious in accordance with the Mayan calendar.

overpopulated?

Had to post this simply because overpopulation is just another ploy to make people "global warming" freaks. The earth is not being overpopulated. Certain cities and areas are, but that is due to people living almost on top of one another due to the cost of living. I'm posting an article below. Disregard how you may feel about abortion when you read it; this is just a statistic about overpopulation.

well

I don't know about this paper, but from the information I have looked at on both sides of the issue. The sun has a much larger affect on global temperature than other factors. It does seem that CO2 levels affect the temperature by a very small margin. I would not be suprised if Al Gore's movie is indeed a form of "Global warming terrorism" as we know this is effective in getting people to turn over their rights to higher government. I would be very critical of any so called obvious solutions that try to convince us to implement taxes of even the carbon kind.

hardly a scientific paper

you could call it a report, maybe.

it doesn't even have a bibliography.

Now it's global COOLING?

or is it global FOOLING?

They cried "ice age" in the 70's, "warming" since the 80's, now they're going back to "cooling". Is anyone supposed to be gullible enough to believe them? They are not always right on this weekend's weather, but they're going to give us conflicting scare-monger scenarios based on thousands of years of trends they were not here to observe?

The biggest environmental threat are the Chicken Little's themselves.

Yes

Thank you. The Earth does not revolve around humans.
Our lifetimes aren't even a blip on times' radar.
I worked in the sciences and no one on this planet lives in higher ivory towers than scientists.Even in the old USSR, the scientists were given ammenities others were systematically denied.
My old boss used to say "You may know science but I know how to write a grant application, that's why I'm the head of the department"
The game in science is to keep people believing they need you or you are out of a job.

don't forget 'nuclear

don't forget 'nuclear 'winter

It's called a mini-ice age

It's called a mini-ice age and the last one ended in the 18th century. That's why if you look at the painting of George Washington Crossing the Potomac River you'll see icebergs in the river. It was still that cold back then. Since then we've been in the warming cycle. It all has to do with the amount of freshwater that gets into the North Atlantic which eventually disrupts the warm ocean currents. The freshwater comes from the melting arctic ice and any other snow/ice that's on the land around it that's melting. It's completely cyclical and we're almost at the end of the warm cycle.

Nonsense! Don't believe the movies!

Day After Tomm has been proven false. For the real global warming truth, listen to the scientists that actually do the research, not some special interest-financed movie producer:

day after tomorrow was a

day after tomorrow was a completely exaggerated distortion of scientific evidence. and for the record i never saw that movie cuz ronald emmerich has a terrible tendency to completely distort scientific fact just to make bigger explosions and more chaotic events all to create a bigger blockbuster.

Bump!

Wow! What a great read. I know it doesn't have much to do with Dr. Paul, but really, take the time to read it. It's enlightening with all the schmucks reunning around trying to 'save the planet'.
