MSNBC: McCain Would Consider Debate with Huckabee

WWL radio played Gov. Bobby Jindal speakin about the desire of a Presidential debate in New Orleans. Bobby is the new, highly touted future face of the GOP. Rhodes Scholar and all. All of 36 years old and people are throwing his name around for VP of McCain.

My prediction is that the GOP will have a McCain vs. Huckabee debate within the next month in New Orleans. Paul will be left out.

How about the Paul campaign make one final good use of that $6 million and use it to fund a McStain/Huckster/Paul debate and supply the moderators?

On Huckabee's web site, there is a letter to McCain about having a debate, and there's a place for comments. Let them know that there are 3 remaining Republican candidates and Dr. Paul should participate in the debate as well.

I said the following:
"And when you decide to have a debate, please don't forget to include Ron Paul, who is also running for President as a Republican. It seems to me there should be 3 candidates at the debate. All 3 need to be heard by the American people."

"In fact, we've had 16 debates since this campaign began, and I've been engaged in every one of them."

Someone should do a you tube showing McCain saying this. Then cut to the Tavis Smiley debate. McCain was a no show. Then cut to the MTV debate. McCain was a no show. Then cut to the my space debate. McCain was a no show. Then cut to the Value Voters debate. McCain was a no show.

Is this the type of President we want. I guess it depends on the meaning of the word debate.

Oh my children, when will you all realize that the media-anointed front runners like McCain, Obama, Clinton, and Huckabee are players on the same team? It is all a grand illusion, a dance, a faux battle with all of the significance of a professional wrestling match. Oops, I just realized, you probably thought that was real too?

Anyone who thinks that Huckabee would do ANYTHING that would give RP a leg up is delusional.

Ron Paul's Campaign should challenge both of them to a debate. McCain stating he would love to have a face to face with Huckster, but backing away from Dr. Paul would make him look weak I think.

John McCain is being either disingenuous or forgetful - I'll leave it to DP readers to decide which. He did NOT attend the September 27 debate at Morgan State University hosted by Tavis Smiley, so he was not, as he claims, "engaged n every one of them."

If you recall, McCain, Giuliani and Romney chose not to attend that debate at a black university (scheduling problems, they said). What a relief it was to watch a debate absent the three blowhards. It was the best of all the debates for that reason; voters got to hear a lot from the "dark horses" about a lot of issues.

(Fred Thompson also didn't appear at that debate, but since he was never given an inordinate amount of time during debates, his absence wasn't rejoiced at the way I rejoiced at that of McRomniani.)

McCain would rather crawl across broken glass than debate with RP... he makes him look stupid...lol

How about asking Obama, Clinton, Nader, McCain and Huckabee to a debate with equal time to each candidate? Lots of people would watch, and with equal time Ron Paul could get his points across.
