Jimt, DownsizeDC is an AWESOME site, I have been sending letters there for quite some time. Here is another place I like to send letters from, http://capwiz.com/jbs/issues/ It is easy, and effective, I have actually received real letters back from one of my senators, so even if they don't agree, I know they get my letters. Just check through some of the legislation on the site I sent, you will find many letters to send, PLUS don't forget downsizedc.com It too is great!!!

By the way, I think it is a GREAT idea Anthony aka "GalacticWacko" I agree with you 100%, but if I may add to your brilliant idea....How about letter bombs for everything from the real ID act, repealing the Patriot act, to protecting our 2nd amendment right? We need to be heard on ALL our issues. Tell your state officials how you feel!!!

just got a phone call from a senators aide saying they are in the process of new legislation in washington state that is against the Real ID. She said it was mostly due to funding concerns/lack of funding. She also mentioned the RFID chip and concerns about lack of legislation that would prevent companies from using the RFID chip technologies for thier purposes and privacy issues. She also mentioned they are working on a new state ID, but the database would be maintained only in washington state. I told her I am VERY much against RFID chip technology being used for "human" purposes and would also be against any ID legislation that gives the federal government access to its database.

I have found the following website excellent for e-mailing members of congress . The site is so well set up that in minutes your "letter" is in the mail!

I think it is a great idea and know of many others that don't post here that would participate.

or we could all move to Montana. it is my understanding they've told the federal government to pucker up when it comes to the National ID. along with their stance on the right to bear arms Montana sounds like a great place to live.

Here in PA, I received an email last night stating that PennDot is way ahead in inplementing this. There is a bill in Harrisburg, HB1351 that all PA citizens are urged to contact their representatives to back. It will in effect shelve the May '08 deadline and allow for public debate and input. I sometimes feel l live in the Twilight Zone. Where is the outrage?
