To keep you in the spirit.
Has she been invited to
Has she been invited to St.Paul? Like I said in another post, it would be a tragedy not to invite this girl to play. She needs to be thanked in a big way for contributing.
I'm confused
I'm not sure what I'm more attracted to...the fact that she's so hot or the fact that she's intelligent.
Another First
Dr. Ron Paul the first presidential candidate to have songs written about him and having a music video on MTV?

Revolution IS what we are
We are peaceful and should be... that doesn't mean we can't at times be a bit controversial and provocative.... Our goal is to wake up those that have been hypnotized into inaction for so long.
respectfully,
Agog
"Revolution": overthrow of government
We do not wish to get rid of our government. We are not "revolting." We want the law of the land to be upheld and obeyed by the people who are in office.
A lesser law is no law if it is in direct conflict with a higher law. If I steal my neighbors car, I must obey the policeman when he hauls me off to the judge. If the policeman tells me to steal the car, I am not revolting by refusing to obey him and turning him over to the judge. Right?
We don't want a new government. We don't want a "Change." We want a return. A restoration.
"Revolve"
I think you're trying to say we want to "revolve," that is circle back to our roots. Revolution means to go in a circle, or to complete a cycle.
And, of course, this is what our system of government is designed to do through the ballot box.
IMissLiberty
Revolution is destructive. We are not a revolution.
We are a restoration. Lawfully bent on removing evil doers from our government. Anger is dangerous and will not help us.
This song is rousing and the words are pretty safe, "break down ILLEGAL institutions." However, some of her other songs and their corresponding videos ARE revolutionary and angry. The sort of music that could incite lawless riots.
Ron Paul has told us to have fun. His message has always been positive, peaceful, and respectful. He knows far more about our countries troubles and the people who have caused them than we do. But he has not given in to adolescent anger. He has worked hard and attacked bad IDEAS with good IDEAS and treated everyone and their private property with respect.
Therefore, even though I DO like this song, I believe it is problematic and would not choose Aimee Allen as any sort of icon for the Ron Paul movement.
talkin' of good ron paul songs....
i still think this one is also very good...(original)

This is
Awesome.
Not anger
Righteous Indignation.
We are supposed to feel righteous indignation when we see something wrong. God meant us to. It is a sign of spiritual health and a good conscience. If we are so tolerant and broad-minded that we can watch wrong and feel nothing there is something seriously wrong with us. God himself feels angry when he sees wrong and evil. It was in righteous indignation that he burned Sodom and Gomorrah to the ground. And it was in righteous indignation that Jesus threw the moneychangers out of the temple. If we were to see some bully brutally and sadistically clubbing some child to death it would be natural and right for us to be angry. In the same way if we can sit and watch immorality romanticized and glamorized on television without feelings of anger and righteous indignation it is a sign of spiritual sickness.
Now, I'm not even Christian, but I thought that was a good example. Also, you call it what you will... I'm part of the revolution.
Anger has to be kept within bounds.
I agree that it has it's place. It is up to each person to control that anger; especially when there is a large group of angry people.
We aren't God, so it is easy to overdo our self-righteousness. Some of the "worst" people THINK they are doing the right thing. It would be wrong to punish the misinformed. It would be a travesty to cause further suffering to the innocent bystanders- including those fellow citizens who would be negatively affected by demonstrations or boycotts.
We have to be strong and think calmly. I would consider this song to be like caffeine: It can be used to wake up the timid and tired, but it could be gasoline for some of the more volatile members who are on the verge of wrath. I'm just advocating cation...
I can be strong and think calmly.
I also know that if you do not ACT on a thought, it stays exactly that.
To advocate thinking pretty thoughts but doing nothing about it is the same as not doing anything in the first place... one reason why America is in the shape it is today.
As far as anything I do that would ~further cause suffering to the innocent bystanders~... come on now. If they are standing there doing nothing, they are not furthering the cause.. they are part of the problem.
Believing in something but not doing anything about it is hypocrisy.
Attempting to establish your boundaries on others is naive.
Telling me that I shouldn't be mad about the current situation is silly.
Be mad. But think clearly.
I agree with acting- not just thinking. The acting has to be based on good thinking though. I do not worry about YOUR actions. But I do know some are volatile and may take this cause to act out on other sources of anger within their lives that have little to do with restoring our country. It takes but one person to destroy what many others have spent lifetimes carefully building.
Sorry if I sound like I'm trying to set your personal boundaries. Not intended. However, as we recommend this song, we are also suggesting that others DO listen to it. Therefore, it is equally fair to suggest that others DON'T listen to it. (Which I did not do.) Or to voice a concern or caution. My point is that this song is not for everyone and may be damaging if played for a huge, irritated crowd. Would you agree with that?
it,s nice.. ok
but ever heard of the word OVEREXPOSURE ? :)
I've heard of overexposure
I've heard of overexposure ... I even know what it means. This isn't overexposure ... this is promoting a candidate. If you leave DP for a couple minutes, you'll notice a distinct lack of this video in world beyond this site.
In fact, there are many people out there who still haven't even heard of Ron Paul, let alone this video.
Get to work. Promote. Promote. Promote.
so send it to howard stern :)
here everybody knows Ron Paul i assume
and everybody here saw the (nice) video.i guess

Did you actually read the
Did you actually read the "Exposure is Key!" comment below, or just the headline?

I........clicked..............it.
I clicked the Hillary song. I shoulda listened. I really should have. I just should have went to another Forum Topic and minded my own business. Now I have blood coming out my ears and my dog won't come out from under the couch. It was like driving by a car wreck, you can't help but look and regret it later...the horror; the horror.
Haha
Sorry about that. Try not to sing it for the next few days. And REALLY try to not vote for Hillary. I know it will be hard, but we are all here for you.

Every time I want a good laugh
I listen to (and watch) that attrociously sickeningly funny Hillary 4 U and Me video. It is the most awfully, cheesy, cornball movie I have ever seen. I used to believe in freedom of speech, but after watching that, I have come to believe that some people should be summarily executed for speaking out.
what about this one :)
